The All Progressives Congress, APC, has revealed those who did not submit their presidential nomination and expression of interest forms after the purchase.
The party also confirmed that about 25 forms were submitted.
Speaking on Channels Television on Wednesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, said 25 forms were filled and submitted.
According to him, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele and the Minister of Petroleum for State, Timipreye Sylva, did not submit their forms.
“For some of them, it’s a bit iffy. What I have this time, we’ve 28 who purchased form and at the last count, we have 25 who made submission.
“But three of them did not. They’re Senator Chris Ngige, Godwin Emefiele and then we have Timipre Sylva,” he said.
However, this could suggest that the presidential forms bought for the likes of former President Goodluck Jonathan and African Development Bank boss, Akinwumi Adesina, were actually submitted
The AfDB President Adesina, had recently dismissed claims that he is running for the presidency.
This was after a coalition of 28 groups purchased and submitted the nomination and expression of interest forms of the APC on behalf of Adesina.
Though Adesina in a statement issued on Tuesday, maintained that he is not running for president, it is not clear if those who bought the forms have the capacity to fill them by themselves and also submit them.
There are speculations that the APC postponed the screening of its presidential aspirants to May 23 to allow Jonathan and others to submit their nomination forms, but the party’s mouthpiece could confirm that all forms, including that of Jonathan, have been submitted except three.
Former President of Nigeria, Jonathan had said he didn’t authorize the APC presidential nomination form purchased for him by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association.
The former President, through a statement issued in Abuja by his spokesman, Ikechukwu Eze, said he had no link to the northern coalition that purchased the form.
He admonished those behind the charade to desist from further defacing his name and urged Nigerians to disregard it.
But barely 48 hours after dissociating himself from moves by some groups to draft him into the 2023 presidential race, Jonathan reportedly joined the APC in Bayelsa and finally made up his mind to vie for the top post.

The $1.5million worth of Akwa Ibom Newspaper Corporation Rotary Press acquired by former governor, Godswill Akpabio has remained redundant after about seven years of its installation and commissioning.
The Press consists of a Supra Setter A105, otherwise known as Computer To Plate (CTP) machine and a Goss Community Press with a web offset press, and has the capacity to print 17 colour pages, 32 black and white pages of newspaper and runs 500,000 impression per hour, while the CTP runs a resolution of 2,400 DPI.
The Press was meant to enable the AKNC print the State-owned newspaper, Pioneer, in the State at a low cost, as well as serve as a commercial printing press for both national and local newspapers.
But, the machine, DAILY POST gathered, has never printed any copy of the Pioneer right from the day of its commissioning till now, even as the State government is yet to hand over the facility officially to AKNC.
When contacted, the former General Manager of Pioneer Newspaper, Mr Silas Udo, who was in office when the Press was installed, disclosed that the machines were not officially handed over to them by the supervising ministry, ministry of Information and Strategy and non of the staff of AKNC was trained on how to operate the machine.
“The Press was never used to print the Pioneer in my time. No Pioneer staff under my watch went for training anywhere to master the workings of the Press. Daily Prayers
“Yes, we did not receive the Press. It was a deliberate decision not to receive it as the procedural processes were not done or seen to be done. For example, the checklist to ascertain that what the government paid for, are what were sent by the manufacturers was not done. It would, therefore, have been against Civil Service procedure to sign a Stores Receipt Voucher (SRV), unless this was done after I left service.”
Also contacted, the then Production Manager of AKNC, Mr Idorenyin Umoren, revealed that he was part of the Pre-shipment Inspection Committee announced by State government to visit Goss Community Press Company in Germany, adding that the committee was not inaugurated, and the inspection to the Goss Community Press Company in Germany, Hieldelberg, never saw the light of the day.
He expressed shock that he was only informed that the machines have arrived Uyo through Onne in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and they were expected to receive them, saying no production staff of AKNC was trained on how to operate the machines.
Also, Mr Patrick Usen, the Consultant who handled the project has blamed the Ministry of Information for the failure of the project, and called for a probe into the abandonment of the printing press.
Usen explained that the machines failed to work due to improper installation, saying the managers of the project did not follow the procedures necessary to set up a Press.
He questioned the manner in which the machines were received, saying there was no confirmation of what was received vis-a-vis what was sent, adding that the auxillary equipment which came with the machines such as forklift, rollers etc., which are among the major equipment for the smooth running of the machines were missing.
The Consultant called for a technical audit of what was supplied, what was installed, and how it was installed, as well as possible errors with the installation processes so as to correct the abnormality that had kept the machines from working.
Meanwhile, efforts to speak with Mr Aniekan Umana, who was then the Commissioner for Information who supervised the whole process of purchasing, installing and commissioning the Press was not successful as he did not pick up his calls, nor responded to text messages sent to his phone by journalists.
However, when the current Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Ini Ememobong was contacted by correspondents, he said, ”when I came into the office, I visited the facility and commissioned an enquiry into issues surrounding the Press, we are working to reconcile all gray areas.
‘In line with the Governor’s determination to continue to achieve result in a most cost effective way, we had to open up the business to private investors who would come and manage the Press. Many have indicated interest and we are still considering the options. I assure you that before the exit of this administration, the Press will be taken over for proper management.”

She said, “I thought we were the only ones that have a useless father. He is an elder in the church too. We are in the same boat; my mother left my father too for many reasons ranging from laziness, lousiness, cheating, senselessness, foolishness, beating; in fact, (he is) everything bad.

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Sunday, revealed the fate of the newly formed Third Force ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Primate Ayodele said the Third Force party formed under the aegis of The National Movement some weeks ago is not the one to replace the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He noted that the party which “Rabiu Kwankwaso launched didn’t comply with God’s directive and didn’t start in the right direction; therefore, it will fail woefully in 2023.”
In a statement signed by his spokesman, Oluwatosin Osho, the prophet stated that the efforts of the newly launched party will amount to nothing.
He advised the leaders to work on some other time because he doesn’t foresee them getting anything tangible now.
‘’The newly launched third force party will not be able to make any impact; their effort will be like a man using a basket to fetch water. It’s like a waste of energy, money, resources, activities because they will not be able to match the PDP and APC in 2023.
‘’They should stop making noise, they are not in compliance with God, this present one cannot win a local government not to talk of state because they didn’t consider God in the formation.
‘’Those who formed it didn’t take the right direction; they are not serious-minded. They can’t get anything meaningful now; they should prepare for the nearest future,” he said.

Valentine's day is a day to show love to others. A day that should be used to celebrate with family members and loved ones. It should remind us all of the need to help others, give them gifts and remember the less privileged.
Now, due to personal reasons, I'm not in the habit of digging for the 'true' genesis of Valentine's Day. However, I've come to realized that in the human world, Valentine's Day is usually synonymous with Love (the 'human-kind' of love). Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has stated that the new Olubadan of Ibadan land will be announced on Monday.
Makinde announced this on Saturday. (DKV.ng Reports)
He addressed at the 40-day funeral reception for Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, the immediate past Olubadan of Ibadan land.
Among those in attendance were the state's Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, former Governor of the state, Senator Rasidi Ladoja, and Senator representing Oyo South, Dr. Kola Balogun.
According to our source, Oba Adetunji will join his ancestors on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
Since then, the position of Olubadan has been vacant.
