I have a 2003 ford focus that I bought when I came into the state newly, it has 146k miles on it, and I uses it up 167k miles , and it has no issues and saving me well. So I think, car issue is a choice and knowing what you want and buying a sound car regardless of the age...well Nigerians, we like showing off, using all the money you have to buy big expensive cars to impress your environment.
Note: AM not saying you should use money for recent car models for an older car models...unless it's a classic or vintage. Like I have presently a 1983 Chrysler NewYorker with 83k miles on the original motor(engine) everything still the original parts.

Does the age of cars really matter?
I think what we should consider here is millage, clearness, health of the car and choice.
