Travel / Re: Canada Or Germany, Which Country Is Better? by Humraaaaz: 1:35am On Dec 29, 2020
@op Truth is; even if you sum up all the comments so far, you cant get a single picture. The best contributors would have been those who have lived in both countries for at least 3 years in each (not as dependents but as independents who worked and paid their bills all by themselves). The worst set of people on this thread are those ones that are still in Nigeria and are so quick to point at posts on the internet; quora, youtube and all sorts of blogs as facts. Even worse are those that intend to come here for studies and are taking advise from their "Aduro" relatives.

While comparing these countries, let this sentence " I am a black man from Africa' be on your mind.

Most of you dont fxxking know what it is to be a black man in most of these countries, let alone a black man from Africa.

I was watching a popular black American youtuber the other day talking about picking up girls in Berlin ( Germany), he said " As soon as they realized I was not from Africa" they became comfortable with me".

One of the contributors said student migrants live better than the blacks that were born in Germany. This is statement to a large extent is true. I can say that because I live here. As a matter of fact I might be able to count the number of black students in my Campus. Guess what I have only seen one that was born here. The exception; those that have one white parent.

The discrimination is real; the most common form that happens everyday is when you sit close (even with a distance of 2m) to a white lady, man or child on a train, they get up and go for another seat. The last one that happened to me was from a heavily pregnant lady WTF. For me this is not a problem anymore cos these days if you leave the seat for another, I would simply put my bag on the seat and then spread my legs wide and make sure you notice my new level of comfort.

Should I continue, I d' definitely be bias. My point is I think neither Canada nor Germany is better in general terms. Look for people who have lived in both places and ask your questions and as same time narrow it down to your goal. Do not follow what you see on quora and co because those things aint gonno give you what you need. If you have to follow, make sure they come from a black person. A black man's goal is to make money, save, do something back home that you can fall back to if things go wrong. Most of our white counterparts dont think like that. They already have a system to take care of them when they are old so putting your money on a white man's words regarding this topic is a recipe for disaster.

please I need someone to clear me on this, in my school MLS is place under the basic medical science faculty and I don't think MLS is a basic sciences cus I have friends in other schools were MLS is under Health science why is it different from ours??

It does not matter. whats important is the course content. Some schools place MLS under faculty of Health sciences while others (eg uniben) have it under faculty of BMS.

I don't have enrolment date on my admission letter but when lecture starts. There is another document sent to me with enrolment date. Is it alright to send the admission letter only for appointment confirmation or I should send both?

U can attach both as one pdf file. U can as well send separately. But in the latter case, title the other file as "Enrolment information"

hope this helps

Hi, had my visa interview on May 18 for masters studies in berlin and have a couple of questions since you had your interview earlier;
1. Did the VO keep your passport or hand it back to you after the interview.
2. How long did it take before you got a response from the consulate.

@okuar. I sent u a private message (PM) reply through your email, lets relate.

Jst open a domicillary account, buy euros and fund it..... Then transfer the euros to your fintiba account using the details on the 2-page "MAKE THE TRANSFER" document sent to you by fintiba

Thank you so much.
How about the other part of the question.

what if i buy 9000, and about 100 euros remain in my dom acct after the transaction, can the bank give it to me cash?
If they wont give me, why not i buy 8,900 euros so that there will be remaining small cash after the transaction.

also how many euros (minimum) do i need to have in cash wen i land in germany b4 i hv access to my fintiba funds?

Offcourse If u have 100€ left in your dom account, U can withdraw (note theres a charge attached to withdrawal from dom account)..... But I will advice u buy 9000€.... And if you want to transfer, try transfering 8900€ first, if it does not go then make some adjustments....

Beta still, You can ask them to set it to the option of sender pay for intermediary bank charge such dat the 40€ will be charged from your dom account and not ur fintiba account.... if you sending up to €8k above, first bank will collect about 57€ (this is what they charged me, confirm befor u fund) do the maths... I am telling you this cos most of these bankers dont know much abt these things and as such u might end up losing some euros (additional charges) should they do the transaction twice.

dont ve an answer to your last question cos Im not in deutschland yet... It should be for those who are already there

I think Euro has gone down now...abokifx is N423
Is there any better rate...I want to buy into my Euro dom acct and fund my finitiba from there

Also the amount needed is 8,829 euro, how many euros do i need to buy incase of bank charges for the transaction

what if i buy 9000, and about 100 euros remain in my dom acct, can the bank give it to me cash?

also how many euros do i need to have in cash wen i land in germany

Buy 9000€, Be very careful wen funding with dom account especially first bank's dom account.... First note that theres bank charge and also intermediary bank charge (which is about 40€ per transfer irrespective of the amount)......

In some banks the intermediary bank charge can be set in a way that the sender pays, So u will need to put that into consideration.

If the bank sets it in a way that the receiver pays the 40€, they will debit the 40€ from your fintiba account instead of your Nigerian dom account. for example, If your decide to transfer 8829€ to your account under this option, it means only about 8789€ will get to ur fintiba account. This means no blocking confirmation cos its below minimun amount for blocking. Also will have to pay again to top it up meaning additional 40€ + Nigerian bank charge

1. I don't think, not sure there are cheap hotels in VI. It's why it's called VI and probably not Isolo if you know what I mean. If you coming from outta town, maybe try Obalende or AJAH for some "cheap" hotels. In Ajah you could get a room for say #6-7 k as that's as cheap as you can get.

2. Mine is on the 15th of May, if it's not who I think it is, I know someone from Pittakwa whose date falls on the 18th though.

AM go surely fall on us very soon and many others coming after.

All the best and success in Jesus name is already assured.

tanx boss

can I make a 7am interview from obalende or Ajah?
is it possible?
