Religion / Re: The Obama Deception by hymen(f): 12:47pm On Jul 31, 2010
OLAADEGBU:

Agreed.  At least 52 of them were church goers who believed that God created heaven and earth and they used the Word of God as a foundation of the Laws of the land of liberty.

Church goers ?? Thought you said ‘Christian’ before abi olodo ni e ni ? How did ‘christian’  become ‘church goer’.
Obama your anti Christ no de go church ?  Get focused my dear.
Church goers have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof as eloquently elucidated in 2 Tim 3:5 ; we are advised to avoid such people. . .
I’m surprised a self professed ‘born-again christian’ like you would try to vouch for ‘church goers’ ??

OLAADEGBU:

People like George Washington who inherited slaves saw to it that the trend ended after his demise, he made provision for the education and emancipation in his Will.  Abraham Lincoln led the civil war that led to the emancipation declaration proclamation that saw an end to slavery.  The Republican party became the first party that fought against this evil but it is now ironical that most African Americans now take sides with those who did not care about their emancipation.

We  have christians in the Democratic party as well as the Republican party ,you have liars, adulterers & deceivers in both parties.
You have liberal, moderate & conservatives in both parties. . . so do not be deceived.
Abraham Lincoln is not one of the founding fathers.
GW was so anti-slavery he held on to slaves till he died & lovingly provided for them in his will ? You are spending too much time on the internet, go and get a life.

OLAADEGBU:

The Republican party may not be a Christian party but their manifestoes have christian values that the liberal democrats oppose,
It is what the parties stand for is what matters, the individual politicians are to be accountable for their deeds before God.

Please cut & paste the relevant parts of the republican ‘christian’ values you are referring to or at least paste a link (God don catch you today  cheesy )
I doubt you have ever been to the US before.

OLAADEGBU:

The Scandal of Bill Clinton is an  example well known internationally and it sums up what the democrats are all about.
It is what the parties stand for is what matters, the individual politicians are to be accountable for their deeds before God.
That is how they said all the accusations against Bill Clinton were conspiracies until the Monica Lewinsky changed all that.  It is the fruits that we bear that shows what we truly believe when the rubber hits the road.

Firstly, let me be clear,I am NOT a democrat nor republican. . .I allign myself more with the Libertarians. . . however I hate consipracies cos its set up for the gullible to get them into things they have no clue about.

Having said that,I honestly would prefer the personal sin of Bill Clinton to the monumental disaster George Bush brought on the Christian world.
Before invading Iraq, there were almost 1 million christians in Iraq, they were protected and had equal rights under the secular regime of Saddam. During  Easter of 1986 I was in Iraq & I was pleasantly surprised  to watch the Easter message on national TV, you could wear a cross on your neck no problems.

Fast forward to the present time , after the ill-advised  invasion(by the ‘christian’ Republicans) churches are being destroyed, christians persecuted &killed because the Arab muslims associate the US with Christianity (falsely). Now we have just under 200,000 christians in Iraq, with total Iraqi refugees external & internal running to 4 million (muslims & christians)

So tell me who is more of a monumental disaster of global proportions?

OLAADEGBU:

It is true that there is no collective salvation as Obama would like you to believe.  Salvation from sin is a personal decision that has to be made because we are all going to stand before God to give an account of what we have done, those who have received the finished work of Christ have been judged in Christ but those who rejected Him would be on their own on that Day.

Are you going senile? What’s my business with Obama ?  undecided
I don't believe in any politician. . .  .I believe in God and only trust myself. . .ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ELSE !
I agree YOU (OLAADEGBU )will give account before God for all the lies and half truths you are spreading on the internet
Politics / Re: Govt Should Pay For Sim Card Registration? by hymen(f): 5:25pm On Jul 30, 2010
fyneguy:

The firms can never provide the kind of logistics required for this exercise. It can be likened to Voters registration or Census exercises.

You will recall at a point during the last voters registration, government had to declare some days workfree to enable workers go for it. Ditto for Census. Even Obasanjo had to make extra funds available for these exercises.

How many registration centres do you think MTN needs in Lagos alone? I dont think MTN has more than 6 or 7 customer service points in the whole of Lagos.

it's either you forget about the wasteful sim reg project or govt has to finance and provide logistics for it.

This is crap. Work free day ke?

We are taking of MOBILE phones . , duh !

They don't have to set up any silly 'registration centres' simply ask people to text in their details o a toll free number of complete a simple form online and give them a deadline to complete it.

Alternatively your call centre could call each subscriber at a convenient time to get their details.

Why must everything in Nigeria have 'K-leg' ? undecided
Religion / Re: The Obama Deception by hymen(f): 4:00pm On Jul 29, 2010
Its indeed laughable that people still fall for this 'America is a Christian country' crap.

The founding fathers were not 'christian' in the same sense as 'born-again' christians in Nigeria.

For one thing they kept slaves and few slept with their slaves but never recognised their offsprings. Add the fact that they were Freemasons doesn't help matters too.

Fastforward to today. . . all the current leaders of the 'christian right wing ' movement are either liars(Gov Mark Sanford) ,adulterers(Mark Souder,Senator Ensign) or drug addicts (Rush Limabaugh). Many have married & divorced many times which 'born-again' christians in Nigeria frown upon.

And of course they'll lay the blame squarely at the doorsteps of the devil !

So only speak for yourself OLA , you only know yourself.

All the religions of the world lay claim to being 'The One' true path to God. . .

I am a strong believer in God,but not in yeye conspiracies. . ,

Muslim males are permitted to marry christian and jewish females, but muslim females can only marry muslim males, it's that simple, and no the difference between muslims and non muslims is not only because we say Allah while you say god (sic), no it goes beyond that for example muslims believe in the oneness of Allah and not in trinity nor original sin. the list goes on,
Muslims also believe in 'Al Jannah ' with 72 full breasted virgins grin grin grin grin

I am Legal Practitioner and also an Author of many Books (Book Writer). I have devoted my time for the past 13 years in making constant research in the public and private libraries, newspapers and magazines, internet, among others, while look for solutions for Nigeria’s economic, political and social problems. Indeed, I have finally gotten solutions to my nation’s (Nigeria) economic, political problems as contained in my books thus: THE FOUNDATION FOR A NEW UNITED NIGERIA,GUARDIANSHIP OF NIGERIAN DEMOCRACY, REVIVAL OF NIGERIA’S ECONOMIC POWER,JUNE 12, 1993 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, THE FOCUS OF A VISIONARY LEADER IN NIGERIA, SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA.
President Ibrahim Babangida is the redeemer of Nigerian democracy. He should come back to power by 2011 as the President of Nigeria and continue his good work for Nigeria. The truth is that the circumstances surrounding the conduct and cancellation of June 12, 1993 Presidential Election can never destroy great achievements made by President Ibrahim Babangida’s regime.
The Highlight of General Ibrahim Babangida’s achievements while in office has proved that his regime witnessed a whirlwind of activities, and more policy initiatives and fiscal measures than all other past regimes in the country. Some of his achievements include:
The establishment of new Universities and Polytechnics.
The movement of Federal Capital from Lagos to Abuja.
The reorganization of the Nigeria Police into seven Zonal Operation Areas.
The unemployment grant to States for agricultural programmes and vocational skills.
Establishment of Mass Mobilization for Self-Reliance Social Justice and Economic Recovery (MAMSER).
A 46-member Panel to review the 1979 Constitution.
The creation of Akwa Ibom, Katsina, Abia, Anambra, Delta, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kogi, Osun, Yobe and Taraba States and over 136 new Local Government Areas with take off grants.
Direct funding of Local Government Areas from the Federal Government to make them autonomous.
National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA).
National Orientation Agency (NOA) formerly known as the ‘‘Mass Mobilization for Self-Reliance Social Justice and Economic Recovery’’ (MAMSER).
National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
Federal Environment Protection Agency (FEPA).
Lagos Third Mainland Bridge.
Federal Urban Mass Transit programme.
The 1991 National Population Census (NPC).
National Women Commission.
The Directorate of Food, Roads and Rural Infrastructure (DIFRRI).
Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
National Housing Fund.
Commission of the Onne Fertilizer Plant in Rivers State.
The 260 million dollars Petrol Chemical Plant in Kaduna.
Establishment of four (4) bodies in one day National Population Commission,
National Revenue Mobilization Commission, Code of Conduct Bureau and Code of Conduct Tribunal.
NNPC Escravos- Lagos Gas Pipeline at Egbin,
National Electoral Commission (NPC).
Elesa Eleme Refinery in River State.
Children Trust Fund.
Resumed diplomatic relations with Israel
Central Bank Autonomy Decree,
Others were: NAFDAC; Ecomog; Reduction of import duties on newsprint, etc.
In fact, the list of achievements made by President Ibrahim Babangida’s regime is endless and it cannot be exhausted here (in this book), but more can be found in other books written by this Author entitled: “Guardianship of Nigerian Democracy”-foreword by President Ibrahim Babangida and also “The Foundation for a New United Nigeria”

Politics / Atiku Continues To Embarass Himself by hymen(f): 6:40am On Apr 11, 2010
I honestly thought Atiku was a strong political mastermind, given his antecedents in the Shehu Yar'Adua camp in SDP days & the way he shook OBJ,i was glad he opted for AC.

This gave many of us hope that we could now have viable options to the inept PDP,but alas,Alhaji Atiku decided to re-decamp back into the PDP a few weeks back .

Now he has received the shock of his life with his state PDP denying him.

Adamawa Govt, PDP Oppose Atiku’s Return Bid
From Mathew Onah in Yola, 04.11.2010
A hitch in the planned re-entry of the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, into the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) developed yesterday as the Adamawa State Government, the state chapter of the party and other stake holders said they have not reconciled with the former vice-president and would not support his return to the party.
The state government in a press release issued by the Senior Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Alhaji Aminu Iyawa, refuted media reports of a purported reconciliation between Atiku and governor Murtala Nyako.

He said the purported grand reception for the return of the former vice president was only the figment of the imagination of Atiku’s political associates.
The statement reads: “The attention of the Adamawa State Government has been drawn to some mischievous statement made by undisclosed associates of the former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on the front page of Daily Trust of April 9 to the effect that Gov Nyako and Turaki have reconciled and that the governor was organising a grand reception for the return of the former VP to the PDP

“We wish to categorically deny that the Adamawa State Governor, Admiral Murtala Nyako, is contemplating any such thing.
“We also wish to refute a claim that the duo had a meeting of reconciliation, left alone come to any political agreement or arrangement of whatever kind to the extent of fixing a date on the supposed reception.
“We want to make it abundantly clear that no such meeting ever took place and therefore, advise Nigerians to disregard this self-serving statement that only exposed the desperation of Atiku and his aides in trying to find a credible platform for their political godfather in trying to realise his ambition of becoming the next Aso Rock tenant.

“The former vice-president is at liberty to join whichever party he wishes, including the PDP. He must however, follow the due process by registering at his ward when the register is opened to prospective party members.
“The PDP secretariat in Adamawa State is aware that some people claiming to be associates of Turaki have printed fake registration cards from South Africa and are going round the state deceiving unsuspecting genuine PDP supporters in the name of new registration drive.

“The secretariat has since directed its attorneys to file criminal charges against these miscreants,” the government said.
Senate committee chairman on foreign affairs and a major PDP stakeholder in Adamawa State, Senator Jibril Aminu, had also frowned at the purported come-back of the former vice president.
Similarly, the state chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Umaru Kugama, had told THISDAY in an interview that the state party officials were not aware of the purported re-entry of the former vice-president to the party in the state.
He said he and other executive council members were yet to be briefed by the national secretariat of the party on the issue.

When will Nigerian leaders stand for truth & recognise that politics should be about principles ?

This are the kind of nonsensical comments you accuse people that label all muslims as potential suicide bombers who want 72 virgins in Aljanna of. Always THINK before you post.

From my personal experience muslims girls are even more likely to start banging early, because they are exposed to all these polygamy nonsense at an early age.

Alhajis 2nd wife's cousins will be disvirgining alhajis daughters anyhow. Isn't this why you people marry of girls away so early?

Be careful. Protect and keep to your religion, don't cast aspersions on others. . . . .

Goodluck to him.

Tottenham and Chelsea are competing for the new rising star of African football.

Nigerian striker Sani Emmanuel has had trials at Chelsea who were impressed by the 17 year-old.

But so were Tottenham, where the player voted the best player in tournament by FIFA in the world Under-17 championships in Nigeria earlier this season, was offered an extended stay.

Emmanuel plays for the My People football club in Nigeria and had a brief spell with Swedish club Bodens BK.

Tottenham appear to have the edge in the race to sign Emmanuel and rather than ask for a transfer fee, the My People club want a long-term relationship with the club Emmanuel joins.

It will mean trials for promising players and donations of kit and equipment
