Food / Re: Do You Check Expiration Dates? by iaabc(f): 11:09am On Jan 07, 2013
Its not just checking the expiration date I do but the duration of the product as well. I recently got one ''fruit'' juice that was made to last for 4 years! What kind of juice is that if not just chock full of harmful and dangerous chemicals?

I love the idea. I think its nice and different. Aren't we all tired of same old same old? I'm all for weird, unique and wonky sef. And it goes to show he's not just acting funny, he really must be a fun and funny guy. Happy married life.
Culture / Re: Why Do We Cook And Eat At Funerals? by iaabc(f): 9:11am On Dec 14, 2012
This post just echoes what I have been thinking about for a long time. I think its a very annoying 'tradition' that we have created. When my parents do die (may I be around to bury them), I have promised myself that we will not cook nada. I do not care whose ox will be gored. Anyone who wants to eat, should bring his/her food. Most of the people who will be clamoring for food will be those who have given no hoot while they are alive, so why will I also give any care as to what they will think. Change has to start from somewhere and honestly I have had enough of this stupid idea, be it African or not. On the invite I will send by SMS, it will be clearly stated that there will be no party or reception of any kind. This thing just annoys me, really! All the money that is wasted on funerals, if a portion of it had been appropriated towards the dead while they live, would pobably have done them a lot more good. There are cases of the children going to family members to plead for money to take their folks to hospital and they are turned away, only for the person to die, and the same relatives turn up to tell you how to bury your dead, properly! SMH We even go as far as buying new clothes?! Why do we do these things?

Family / Re: A Mother's Dilemma In An Rccg Creche by iaabc(f): 2:27pm On Nov 20, 2012
Honestly I was riled when I read this post. What does it being a church have to do with anything. Your child's safety must always be paramount, irrespective of whose ox is or may be gored.

Family / Re: Are Extra Lessons Really Necessary For School Children? by iaabc(f): 8:19am On Jun 13, 2012
Absolutely unnecessary! We need to reasess what we put our children through all in the name of education. They come home late after spending so long in school and we still want to bog them down with more work. Play is crucial to learning! I don't even like homework!
Family / Re: My Husband Will Not Allow Me To Touch His Car by iaabc(f): 12:01pm On Jun 12, 2012
he may be concerned about having his car scratched but the greater cincern should be about his family's wellbeing. If he doesnt want you to drive, then he should drop and pick up the baby at the creche. or he should make taxi fare available.

Family / Re: Husband Has HIV But Wife Does Not Know by iaabc(f): 1:53pm On May 23, 2012
It is not in your place to tell the wife, except if she is your sister and even at that, you can only encourage her husband to tell her.
Family / Re: I Don't Want To Divorce Her,but Do I Have Any Choice? by iaabc(f): 1:51pm On May 23, 2012
It is a very painful thing to not have children when you think you should have them. I remember how I would look at little babies at events and just wish they were mine. It is painful, BUT I am sure it is more painful for your wife than you. You probably cannot even imagine her pain. People don't usually assume it is a man's fault, it is usually the woman's. Please do not divorce your wife. Share your struggles. The doctors say nothing is wrong, don't scatter your life. Recognise that the devil is trying to ruin your testimony. This woman has been suffering for 10 years too, may be in silence because you don't even treat her like she is in on this too! Children will come. Only this week I read several stories of long-waiting couples in the papers, one even have triplets.
Family / Re: What Makes A Good Choice Of Husband? by iaabc(f): 1:25pm On May 23, 2012
If you are born again, then it is vital that your potential husband be born again too, so you can operate on the same wavelength. This is critical or you will have problems later on. If he is then second question is answered already.
