Without appologies to anyone. I want to say that this is the type of fraud I support.

Until people learn to understand that no one is chasing you in this life. Your actions and inactions yesterday, today and tomorrow determine your destiny. They won't stop falling prey for these conmen.

I have one person I wish falls prey for this so that she can also learn the hard way. The truth is no matter how much you try to convince them they'll tell you that you are still a small boy. And you know nothing about spirituality.

The guy even tried, he hit once and ran. Some commit you, instill fear in you then begin to milk you gradually weekly, monthly etc. Before you know it, you have lost millions.

Leave her to cry abeg. Next time no be person go tell am.

Politics / Probable Solutions To End SARS's Extra Judicial Killings by iamvictorbassey: 12:58pm On Apr 02, 2019
I'm sorry I used a misleading header earlier, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Since these days important topics don't make it to the front page but non-profitable ones. I will be simple, precise and concise in this write-up as possible, a minute or two of reading should be enough to go through.

1. A young promising man was shot dead a couple of days ago by SARS. That same guy could have been my brother, that same guy could have been my relative, your relative or even you reading. He had similar dreams and aspirations as we all have. But all of his dreams have been cut short.

2. SARS menace has been one long overdue for us to protest against as youths but we refused to either because we feel a prominent person or celebrity has to start the protest, or because we have no backing, we are nobody, we ain't celebrities, we got no followers, or because we feel it's no business of ours, etc.

Let me clear you all on this OUR CELEBRITIES ARE HYPOCRITES, only a few of them are reasonable. A lot of them have "stained hands", which is why they cannot move an inch. Any of them who tries to, his bad records are shown to him/her, thus he or she backs out last minute.(e.g One popular artiste) Or heavy wads of cash exchange hands for their integrity. (e.g. One popular old man/grandfather)

3. A "NOBODY" amongst us must lead a protest to their very front (I volunteer myself, because I'm craizy fed up and angry). And we must stop all of these expectations from our celebrities with millions of followers who cannot use the influence and do not care about us. Baba Fela is gone. If only he were to be alive, he wouldn't be like these chicken hearted social media celebritites.

4. We nairalanders have used this forum in the past to restore people's job, force companies to do the right thing, and so on, this time, we must come together and do something about this extra Judicial killings.

CHALLENGES
I had a lengthy call with my friend last night who stays in Lagos, and he told me a lot of challenges young people face in Lagos especially. His own is worse because we are both in our mid twenties, he was blessed to have a job where a very fine official car was given to him. He said not less than 3 police officers harrass him daily on his way to and from work. He said too much I can't type it here. Because I don't want to make this writeup long I will thrash out some important challenges numerically.

1. Do not forget the guy who died the other day may have been amongst the people who sat behind their keypads to type the "powerless" #ENDSARS, maybe he did'nt even care. Who is next remains unknown, until that day comes.

So if you feel it doesn't concern you, good luck. I pray bullet knows you by name not to hit you.

2. He(My Friend) said when a protest or call for a challenge of wrong doing in government is called, some chicken hearted people will go to the parent of the children intending to protest, and tell them to warn their kids not to. That the leader has no future, that is why he wants to ruin other peoples'.

If you chicken out, understand that:
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. (Edmund Burke)

PROTEST DEMANDS
Our protest demands are simple. Contributions are verily allowed as I am not a dictator but one with an opinion, who stands to be corrected.

1. That 180degree cameras be installed on all police vans front and back to make a total of 360. With voice recorders. Yes!! I still don't know why this has not been implemented yet?

2. That a law be made, signed and passed in the house of Assembly which states that.

"Should any Law Enforcement officer destroy your video/audio recording device, a "blank cheque" be issued against him".

Where the victim is free to make any claim possible as mobile phone video recorders and audio recorders are no violent nor harmful devices. Since the instrument of evidence at Check points, etc have been destroyed. Then we cannot ascertain as to how much of damage was carried out by the security operative which would have warranted his destroying the mobile phone.

3. Punishment. There must be a minimum of an officer being relieved of his job if found wanting. In the case of killing. Death sentence with public execution should play out. We are not animals. My friend studied in the UK and he said, "Vic, I swear where dogs sleep here many humans in Nigeria don't have the privilege to." Which means we are even worse than animals here. Because they are punishments for killing animals unprovoked in developed countries.

4. Without mincing words, I must say that Nigeria is a very corrupt country. If we see to the implementation of NUMBER 1, you will begin to hear cases of missing video recordings and audio recordings at the check point. If such happens NUMBER 2 on this section should applied.

NOTES
1. The Punishment section has shown the need why we need to elect people who will represent us and pass the right bills. Who in the present crop of senators will pass the bill in Section "PROTEST DEMANDS" "No 4". Who? Unanswered question for another day.

2. In all I have written, I have only one major challenge. Which is the fact that I don't live nor stay in Lagos. I really wished I stayed. I should be least concerned about the happenings there. But I am human. I don't want to wake up one day and hear my relative, friend whoever was shot dead for nothing. I am really dissappointed at how the highly placed Lagos with so called "fearless" youths have been this ridiculed and reduced. I live in the north where we don't face all of these harrasments. But even if we did we wouldn't have had it lightly with the police. Because you will have to kill us all or leave us all. Contrary to popular opinion, I believe northerners have bigger balls than the Lagosians.

Thanks.

Right now, I'm beginning to dislike this buildup and hype to the forthcoming tribunal.

Why the unnecessary hype? When it's not a movie trailer or a boxing match outing. Or are they planning to sell tickets at the court and recover some money?

Just head to the court already, and if you have something substantial present it. Even if there is no one present, If it's worthy of looking into, they'll do.

I expected the case to have begun already. Dunno why all this hype up till now.

Unfortunately, good people don't live long. It's bad people that spend decades. Which is why I have a big problem with all religions and what their books say.

This woman and present day El Rufai were 2 of the most hard working enthusiastic characters in the then Obj's cabinet. Hate El Rufai all you want. He "may" be something else today, dunno him personally. But he had a drive then.

herzernIsHere:

I stopped reading when I got to this point.
I feel you should have continued. It's an unbiased post. It's in respect to every zone's potential. No hailing and no vilifyng of any zone.

In as much as a lot have reservations on them, you'll sincerely agree that they are the only ones who imitate and come close to production in Nigeria or Africa as a whole. They have this attitude of competition and never been left behind. They want to outshine their competitors/brothers. That, viewed from another perspective is bad. And from another perspective means leveling up. Which is good for business.

Remember when China started with brick games and some other funny things like calculators and we were laughing at them. You remember when Chinese phones were a laughing stock (with bright lights and loudspeakers). And today the world is importing from them and building manufacturing headquaters there, including Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, name it. It goes a long way to show that practice makes perfect.

Modified:

I want to say this to clarify some people who think I am in anyway supporting the Igbos and hailing them. We all have our reservations about every tribe. I for one don't like the greedy, boastful and dominating nature of "some" of the Igbos. But don't forget, the topic was not if I liked the Igbos or not. I'lll give you 2 examples.

Let's say your dad promised you a bicycle if you come first position in class, and by so doing you top your class. It wouldn't matter to us the reason, on Speech and prize giving day you will be awarded with best graduating student. Let's say you had a bet with your best friend, it wouldn't equally matter. Or maybe you were lucky to have read just 5pages and all questions came from those pages. I have never heard anything like "He came first sha, but its because of this or that". The summary is he came first.

Another example would be this. Imagine Otedola's step mom never liked him and told him he will beg to eat and that made him swear to himself to be successful. It wouldn't matter today. All we know is Amongst billionaires in Africa, Otedola is one. That's the simple answer to, "Is Otedola a billionaire?".

If you are not trying to be biased in judgement you will agree with me that there is no tribe in Nigeria that competes amongst themselves and others for dominance like the Igbos. Late Sardauna said it. This is bad morally, but in Business this is good. Imagine there wasn't a BMW to keep Benz on her toes? Or a Samsung to keep Apple, etc and so on.

Igbos compete and it makes them grow fast. For instance, as soon as Gigm launched GIGM.com book online, Peace Motors followed suit, Big Joe followed and so on. That is just how they are. It's no hail nor insult. It's about stating the obvious.

Politics / 10 Things That Will Most Likely Happen In Nigeria In The Next 40 To 70years by iamvictorbassey: 11:31am On Mar 17, 2019
10 THINGS THAT WILL MOST LIKELY HAPPEN IN NIGERIA IN THE NEXT 40 TO 70YEARS

My name is Victor Bassey, Im not a writer, this would be like the first time I ever tried this. A brief info on my background is I was born and brought up in the North. Lived all my life there and completed my tetiary education in the north too. If you like, you can screenshot or bookmark this writeup for most of the things written in it will "most likely" come to pass (I'm not a prophet nor a religious person either). I'm just saying this so that in the future no one will say no-one saw it coming.

Enough about me. Lets get to why I wrote this lenghty writeup. I am doing this primarily because in Nigeria we don't have people who forsee and try to profer solutions to what they've forseen. And even when we rarely have one who does, they are ignored. An example of one of such people was Late Fela. Its unfortunate how I was only told the negative stories about Fela as a deterent while trying to do music at a much younger age. And how I should never end up like Fela. But today I know better, If I end up like Fela I will die a fullfilled man. It's so unfortunate to know that the things someone like Fela sang about before I was born and while I was still a kid are things still bugging us as a nation in present day. In this writeup, I plan to share some of the glaring things that will possibly happen in Nigeria even before the next 40years. But just say at worse, the next 40-70years time.

DISCLAIMER: A lot of statements written here are highly controversial. But you must understand that they are my views and opinions. You need not accept them, you just need to respect them and drop yours if you have something contrary to say. For those who insult rather than reply, please do so with a pinch of salt and understand it's not 40years yet. Please also note that I am in no way endorsing or condeming any tribe, religion or group. Now to the body.

1. To start with, there will possibly be no Nigeria anymore. And even if there is it won't be the complete Nigeria we know today. The reason why some sections will leave you will know as you read other points and understand especially the number 2 point.

2. If you are one who follows trends, technology, politics, governance, etc. You will understand that there is a very strong will by the "Conceptual West" to see to the extinction of the use of fossil fuel (Crude Oil and all of its extracts) as a means of energy. Thus replacing it with clean renewable energy. This will be a major blow to Nigeria. Nigeria will only be seen to feel it wholly from outside but not on the inside. Those who will really feel the heat are the Niger Delta (Oil producing) states. This will drop their relevance to zero (This statement also depends on what they invest their revenues today on). As they will have nothing to hold on to as a leverage if they don't go the "Dubai way". Those who find it difficult to relate should understand that Enugu was once like Port-Harcourt because of coal. And today I need not tell you what their relevance is in National decision.

It is only at this point, the "North" will tell you that they need their lands for agriculture and solar farms (energy). The one Nigeria statement will be preached more now by the southerners who have their investments and properties littered in the north but the northerners will not listen. As a result there will be high tenement rates in the north for non-indigenes, and heavy tax for business men who are non indigenes.

The condition for unity will be strict and highly out of favour to the southerners.

2. Population growth and it's consequences, Nigeria in the next 40-70years would have hit a maximum all time high of not less than 500Million people as our average population. The 90's children will already be grand parents or about to be by then. That will be like about 3 extra generations. With no more crude oil funds to feed the doubled or tripled mouths of citizens, crime will be at an all time high, never seen nor imagined before. As youth restiveness will be deadly. The rich will spend a whole lot on security and people will damn consequences and attack the rich and highly placed, as they will weigh their options and understand that they're still liable to die of hunger if they don't try. A lot of people will have licensed guns to protect themselves from attack. As the government will not have sufficient funds to provide adequate national security for her citizens. There will be so much of weapons never seen in the history of Nigeria in circulation in private hands.

The increased population will bring about huge hunger and starvation. As there won't be enough food to fill the number of mouths available. The images and videos we watch and see in other African countries of people dying while still alive and vultures waiting for them to drop dead will not be far from us as at that time.

3. Religion will loose it's grip on a whole chunk of people. So many people will begin to see with reason the concept of "Cause and Effect". Faith will loose it's grip due to starvation and hunger. Faith will also loose it's grip because the next generation of children will be too curious and intelligent to be made to believe the same stories some of us were told growing up. They will apply too much of logic to everything they do thus killing the concept of belief and faith. There will be no free money and those who have stolen in billions will not want to release their's, as they will want to stash it as assurance for their unborn children, hunger will beat reality into all religious followers in Nigeria that "Man" must labour to put food on his table and that is no responsibility of God as "SOME" religious leaders claim that Faith and beilieve can provide miracle food instead of hard work.

4. If you have ever lived up North before, you will understand that birth control is not a topic to debate up there. As most of them believe that "God" is the one who takes care of children. All one needs to do is give birth to as many as possible and never bother about their welfare. Items like condoms, abortions and contraceptive are even seen as "Haram(Abominable)" by some in those parts. With population boom hitting an all time high and inadequacy of food to feed the numerous mouths and inadequate government funds. One of their indigenous sons/daughter will be forced to preach the message that provisions must be made for every extra mouth and that is not the responsibility of "God". There will be Birth control in the North.

5.One reason why Nigeria can never move forward is the absence of "Rewards" and "Punishments". And until that is put in place without bias, Nigeria will continue to remain where it is. Hardship will force a revolt and several protests against political figures in Nigeria, and there will be a revolution with stringent consequences. This will see to the people demanding the heads of political figures and pubic executions of political figures caught stealing as low as the value of $300.

The major reason why this will be possible, will be due to the fact that the religious barriers would have been broken to a large extent. People will no longer be swayed by people stealing funds and clinging unto religion to attract sympathy from gullible followers. There will be so many hungry and angry people on the street.

Unfortunately, there will still be a lot of ethnic sentiments which would slightly derail progress but not as much as the religious jinx.

6. The richest men in Nigeria will be the few manufacturers and innovators available. This is when the Igbos will come to light becoming the China of Africa. (This is a painful statement a lot will have reservations to, but it will be largely so).

7. There will be clamour and agitation to leave the defunct Nigeria, especially by the Igbos (and other tribes too) as they will not want to generate revenues and give 87% to the centre while they keep 13%. Since there is nothing at stake they "might probably" be granted a secsession. This would be a great error as they will grow very fast in technology and weapons development thereby bullying weaker territories around them.

8. By now, formal education would have lost it's proper grip and value in the labour market. And labour will be hired by performance delivered irrespective of certification or not.

9. EV drives (Electirc Cars) will be the means of transportation all through ranging from trucks to vehilcles to bikes to levitating vehicles, human sized drones and air hoverboards etc. Because there will be no fuel driven fairly used cars to import from anywhere around the world. If you watched the Geneva motor exhibition you would have seen how big companies like BMW, Volks, Benz, and the originator Tesla are all taking the centre stage when it comes to electric cars.

10. Nigeria by that time will have so many foreign pronounced lifestyles like open gay marriages, transgenders, Gay activist, Feminist Rights, etc. without fear of what the society will say.

In addition to this point, the marriage institution by this time will fall badly. As the courts will be strengthening women rights, men will be scared to get married for fear of divorce and it's consequences on men, and fear being meddled with if found wanting. Baby mamas and papas paying child support will litter everywhere. As marriage will seem too risky owing to the stringent rules attached to it by that time.

You can add your contributions.

A few of mine are:
1. As controversial as this may sound, I feel Nigerians still need to suffer very much more. Only when this happens will we know our left from our right. You meet someone who is feeding from hand to mouth. He ask for help, out of pity you help. But if you check he is rallying and throwing his weight behind one politician who is a thief or an indicted thief. While there are other reasonable ones out there. I feel more suffering is relevant to erase the deposits of religious and ethnic sentiment.

2. When Nigerians are intelligent enough to vote anyone into office irrespective of party leanings. When Nigerians are able to vote people in respect to their personalities, policies, manifestos, past records only then will we get it right.

3. A lot of us are trying to leave, yet we forget that wherever we are going to can be likened to another man's bed that has been properly laid. That we can lay our's too and foreigners will fight to come lie on our bed too. We never think about that part. (I'm not condemning leaving anyway.)

But I'm saying there was a time the British were known to give birth in multiples of ten. Then someone came up and met the queen with a blueprint stating that if they continued that way, their resources will not be able to manange them in a certain number of years. Now that's planning. Africa lacks planning, and most importantly implementation. We need to get experts and analyst to tell us where we are heading and what measures to take.

4. My advice to the south south (oil producing) states would be to look for a way to avoid their divisive lifestyles over there and unite. For they need to stop the internal sabotage amongst themselves politically and build the haven of their desire for themselves and their unborn children. They practically have less than fifteen years to reap bountifully from the tree of crude oil. How they invest the money today (just like Dubai) will largely affect what those areas will be in nearest future when crude oil will be irrelevant. Enugu (Coal City) is a perfect example.

5. Finally, the solution to Nigeria's problem lies in Nigerian citizen's thumbprints. Until we use it properly, we will continue to suffer.

Thanks.

Politics / Re: Election: 2 Persons Shot Dead In Ibadan South West by iamvictorbassey: 10:31pm On Mar 09, 2019
But we had elections in 2015 now, Or was it that I did not follow properly? There wasn't this kinda desperation and killings for power.

On another hand I'm beginning to believe that Buhari gave the body language for what is happening. Initially I supported his statement "Ballot box snatchers should be shot" because only one who is planning to distort the election process will have a problem with that statement. But in a non-civilized country like Nigeria where we don't even respect traffic lights. I feel that was where he gave the go ahead on extra judicial killings.

One part of me was thinking today, If only we knew this was the kinda desperation the present govt would bring, GEJ should have held on to power with all he had. "NOTHING" I REPEAT "NOTHING" would have happened. Highest some killings left and right, some press confrences, parallel govt threats, etc. after everything will stabilize. Now I see how difficult it is to conduct a relatively free, safe and fair election, then walk away and leave power after loosing.

On another hand, I wonder the kinda trainings our security officials undergo. Was it that the safety feature on the gun was off? What type of stupid news do we hear in this country periodically? The other day it was customs officer. That case will die a natural death. Today it is police.
What nonsense?

It is only in Nigeria that a police officer will mistakenly shoot himself in the leg. Haba?!!

Too many people have lost their lives from 2weeks ago till today.
The killiings I have read on front page today alone is just too much. Haba!!!

AnanseK:

1. We are impressed with the reduced strength of insurgency in the North East. The citizens of Borno and Yobe have the first hand assessment on that and is reflected in their votes.

2. Buhari is geared towards developing an accountability and transparency system by implementing the TSA and the BVN, we want to see more of that. We have also seen high profile investigations and many corrupt individuals are on trial.

4. Despite the depleted treasury and the economic downturn in his first year Buhari had supported states to pay salaries and had restored the country’s external reserve and is working to diversify the economy in addition to the oil sector we are expanding argriculture and SMEs.

5. He is investing in infrastructure as we see in Road construction across the country using innovative financing mechanisms. He is bringing back the rail service which is unknown to multitude of young Nigerians and he has shown his commitment to completion of projects started or conceived by previous governments such as the Abuja metropolitan rail, the Abuja airport, the second Niger Bridge, the Ajaokuta iron and steel industrial base etc

6. He is addressing the electricity problems through both improved generation and improved distribution in the short and long term. The Mambilla hydroelectric scheme is an example.

7. There is no evidence that he intends to accumulate personal wealth from government coppers or even from outside therefore has no conflict of interest in that respect. Of course we want to more searchlight focused on the men around him for all the rumors to be proven or dispelled.

8. These are all positive indicators and you may want to apply them to Atiku and his cohorts where they will become negative indicators. Atiku’s theoretical plans are too shallow and sound deceitful, just like his job creation through magic, since no plausible pratcable details have been presented.

8. Atiku’s body language, Utterances and antecedents makes him a suspect swindler and untrustworthy as a leader. His use of money suggests an investment in our future which he was determined to buy and own.

9. I can say more but let’s just pause and listen to your comments.

First I want to acknowledge your level of maturity in replying me. Kudos.
Back to the topic,

1. Since you sound very sincere, I will want to believe that you know deep down that Boko haram was incited as an ousting factor. Which is the same reason Fulani Herdsmen took over immediately after the purpose of boko haram was achieved. I am of the opinion that Herdsmen is a politcal tool. But if you disagree with Boko being a political tool, I will also have to look the other way and claim otherwise.

2. If Buhari had initiated the TSA and BVN scheme from the very start, it would have likely been in his second tenure that it would have been implemented by either himself or another candidate. So I would like to say the initiator should take glory for that.

4(Same way you numbered it mistakenly I guess). Diversification do you any proofs to give? In agriculture, I can tell you that we have only gone million miles on paper but not in reality. Hit on this link and you'll see that Nigeria is the second highest importer of rice. https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=l-V3XNy3FIamaPK0uvgJ&q=highest+importer+of+rice+in+the+world&oq=highest+imp&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.0l10.36.5240..7714...1.0..0.1096.4977.2-5j3j6-2j1......0....1..gws-wiz.......35i39j0i131.E84wyVzDh7o

5. On the issue of infrastructure, Can we have a list? For I can give you a list of some done by the previous administration. Sokoto-Aliero-Jega-Koko-Kontagora. Abuja-Lokoja, Imo-Rivers-Bayelsa-Warri, Bida-Mokwa-Jebba.

6. If you stay in Niger State, they ration the light there for 4hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening. Should something go wrong with your transformer or you miss the morning dose, that's all for that day. If you stay in Sokoto, Some days you only get it for 2 hours. At most 5-6hours a day. Do you feel there's any use in telling us how much you spent on power when the masses cannot feel it?

7. We have seen him publicly endorsing candidates indicted with corruption cases. And forming a blind eye to corrupt cases within his cabinet.

8 and 9 I believe are comments not points, correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks.

I really don't know how to type this on a neutral note. But trust me on this I'm very much neutral on this.

It could have been I was not informed, Or maybe I was carried away by what a lot of people said. On this note I want to
put this question out to only intelligent people who are logical in reasoning, are not tribally biased, religiously biased and don't add insults to responses. Now to my question.

Please for those of you voted Buhari for a second term, please what was your logical reason. If you can support your answers
with links, pictures, location, bear in mind that I was born and I reside in the core north. Please feel free to quote me with your answers.

I want to know what you guys know that I don't know.

And as for the topic

So like daily, How many peeps do you defraud with this scheme if I may ask?
How lucrative is the venture?

If you are winning this much money from gambling (Bet9ja), why are you interested in our participation? Will you not get paid if we don't participate? Never seen Dangote, E-Money, Ote$, disturb peeps to make money like this. They make it in silence and flaunt it. We disturb them to teach us. So why don't you follow suit.

One other thing, please try to blur your own edited figures to look like the original ticket. So peeps won't decipher.
Wish you all the best in your hustle.

100 % correct, the dr license would be ceased if he attends to gunshot survivors without police report.
and hospital closed.

the idea is to avoid treatment to criminals that survive gun battles with the police, the mistake is that the government classify its citizens as criminals if u are not on uniform
What nonsense, what a stupid law. If you treat and call the police simultaneously, for handing over.
What difference does it make? Why do we reason stupidly? Nawa oo

I got to hear of this when a man survived a gunshot from armed robbers. This law is all shades of stupid.

What is more disheartening is, I heard if you're shot and you manage to get your self to a hospital or a health care facility, you'd be asked to go get a police report in that state.

Please someone confirm this for me is it true? If true, how bad. What happened to treating and arresting the suspect, saving the life then inquire what went wrong?

Please someone clarify before I dive into conclusion
