Properties / Re: Notice To Quit by ibokunle(m): 4:02pm On May 07
oladele239:
So today the lawyer in charge of the property I stay in brought a notice to quit for us. Our rent is due November 31st and in the quit notice, it states we must leave that same date.

Please I want to ask is this what the law states ? Because he claims we now have 6 months notice to vacate the apartment even as our rent will be due in November...

This is a very sudden one for me

That's what the law stipulates

Have you registered these documents with the government? If not, their signatures will be required for title to transfer and it will not come free. If the buyer signs and collects the documents you have (unregistered), then he/she will have to reengage the family to perfect the title at the Registry.

Has the title been registered? This should be the consideration.

Education / Re: Why Are Hausas Not Desperate To Search For Greener Pastures Outside Country? by ibokunle(m): 8:54am On May 05, 2023
I met a Hausa that was driving Taxi in Chicago in ~2008.

I saw a hausa graduate that was a contract teacher in Yola in 2000 on a salary of 4k monthly which was even worse than NYSC allowee.

There are less fortunate/marginalised people over there too like the Christian North but they've learned to not complain or suffer further humiliation.
Family / Re: Frustrated With My Wife by ibokunle(m): 9:59am On Apr 11, 2023
Don't spoil a great thing.

Your situation was my reality some years ago before i cracked the code. Unfortunately, we were all not prepared for marriage.

I truly wish i can get around to speak with you. The key to making this marriage work is in your hands.

I believe that you should be abit more patient and circumspect. You need to build a common family vision with your wife, something she will buy into, else OYO lo wa o.

You both have great potentials and don't be stupid here.

Let me get a feedback and I may arrange to speak with you.

tomi4life:

I am tempted to agree with you. I dont think we love each other, infact when I reflect on things we really have alot of problems.

I have decided to fight back, I wont take any of this crap again. I think I have been too weak as the leader of the house this is why all this is happening.

Let not live in pretense anymore, there is a problem, a big one for that matter.

This may seem harsh I will hold back all the her entitlement, she cant expect me to play all the husband roles and she refuses to play hers as a wife.

It not even about the cooking itself, but how she responds when I raise certain matters.

Ode.

What story can justify his action?

confydoedowaye:
Don't condemn the man until you hear his side of the whole drama. Women always like to play victims to attract sympathy. May God grant them wisdom and heal their marriage...

This is where CAN should focus; they should leave CAMA alone. O to ge!

Brace yourself for a chilling exposé of the tricks and tactics used by fraudsters - working in cahoots with a group of young female prostitutes in Dubai - to deceive and dupe unwitting men.

Peter came to The SCOAN with his fiancee - but the crooked secrets that bound the duo together were about to be unravelled in a pinpoint word of prophecy from Prophet TB Joshua. What followed is a chilling confession filled with valuable lessons of life. Remember, all that glitters is certainly not gold!

RUN FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE.

SOMEONE THAT CARES ABOUT YOU WILL FIND OTHER WAYS OF MANAGING THE VISITING LADY SITUATION WITHOUT GIVING YOU ANY DETAIL OR CLUE.

YOU ARE SET FOR AN ENTANGLEMENT !

HE CLEARLY WANTS TO WORK YOU INTO HID WEB. YOU NEED TO WAKE UP. A GUY THAT IGNORES YOUR CHAT FOR DAYS IS ONLY BAITING YOU. RUN IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEART AND LIFE.

THIS WILL ONLY END IN TEARS. DON'T TOUCH WITH A 10FT POLE.

QUIETLY WITHDRAW.

I HOPE I DIDN'T JUST WASTE MY TIME

Dorcas23:
I've read every comment so far.

First of all I'm not cheap. All this while he has been the one telling me he loves me. I've never said I love you too in response. I've not even made any straight declaration of love. Like I said I've taken things slow. I've never even put myself in a position where he would have the opportunity to touch me.

He is my friend and he invited me to his place. Declining would have been impolite so I agreed. He said he wasn't expecting the female friend to visit and that he stylishly tried to discharge her but she didn't want to leave and he apologized to me.

Some people are saying I should use my brain. How am I not using my brain? I haven't made any decision I regret yet.

When you get such opportunity, appoint your enemy.

[Q¹quote author=Bighead9 post=88638816]Aba Kyarı touched lives positively. He ended up making his friend Godfrey Onyema, the Minister of foreign Affairs.

I salute your openness dear brother. I am sure your dad will be proud of you down the line. No matter the speed, so long as you're headed in the wrong direction you will never reach your goal or achieve satisfaction.

Brace up and take charge of your life!

SipCoke:
I apologize for the long post... So the thing is, I am 22 years old currently in 200 level. My performance is very poor, in fact I'm currently on probation(I'm suppose to be in 300 level by now) and that's not because I'm not intelligent or I'm dull o. it's just that i don't show commitment towards my studies because I've completely lost interest in the course I'm currently studying because of its calculation aspect. I hate calculations a lot. Let me say, I'm more of a theory person. I have tried applying for change of course but i was denied maybe because of my poor performance. My Father doesn't know anything about this. "no issues at all Daddy, my result is good", my response whenever he asked me about my result.

So i have finally decided to apply for withdrawal from my current school to register and sit for jamb again. This time i will apply for a course in a different institution. This course in question is a course I've wanted to study long ago but my current school don't offer it. My friend studies it and I've done research on the course my self. I'm very sure i can do it this time.

Now i don't even know how to approach my father with this. I know I've fvcked up big time. The man will be so so annoyed and disappointed in me but i can't continue like this, i want to get things on track, i want to fix my life and start afresh. Right now I'm just confused and frustrated. Nairalanders, i will need your advice and suggestions. Please what's your take on this?
