Culture / Re: Why Do Ikwerre Igbos Reject Their Igbo Identity? by IchieEzeji: 11:25am On Aug 27, 2012
@Chixomx2, your reference to Brazil and Portugal is a very funny one indeed. That reference doesn't apply to the relationship between Igbos in the South East of Nigeria and Igbos outside the South-East (some of whom deny their true identity)such as Ikwerre, Etche, Ogba, Ndoni, Egbema, Ekpeye, (all in Rivers State),Anioma (in Delta State), Igbanke (in Edo State), etc. Brazil was colonized by Portugal, hence they speak the same language, just as Nigeria was colonized by Britain.

@Poster, kindly google a very interesting essay entitled "Ikwerres and their Denial of Igbo Identity", written by one Igbo lawyer named Ikechukwu A. Ogu.

The Ikwerres are a confused Igbo community who, out of pressure from non-Igbos and their own prejudices, denounced their identity. They are Igbos, whether they like it or not.
Politics / Re: Senate Moves To Penalise Disrespect Of The National Anthem by IchieEzeji: 11:55pm On Nov 26, 2010
So, Senator Izunaso would want to be remembered for sponsoring this bill? I dey laugh, if i may adopt OBJ's words. Tell me, in what way will this bill move Nigeria forward, improve the impoverished lives of poor Nigerians; awaken our governments to their responsibilities; provide basic amenities for Nigerians; slash the unmerited, undeserved and fraudulent salaries/allowances being enjoyed by our legislaTHIEVES? There are so many bills the passage of which will affect governance and the daily lives of average Nigerians, but nobody is attending to them. May God redeem Nigeria from LEGISLATIVE TYRANNY.
Sports / Re: Adamu Blasts Nff Over Galadima's Nomination by IchieEzeji: 11:37pm On Nov 26, 2010
What is Amos Adamu talking about? How does/should the nomination of Galadima border him? Did he not recently claim that he does not represent Nigeria at FIFA but is there on his own merit? So, he should not make any noise when NFF is nominating a Nigerian representative. After serving out his 3-year ban, he can still go back to FIFA on his own accord.
Religion / Re: Why Did God Have To ''Kill His Son''? by IchieEzeji: 1:18pm On Nov 01, 2010
ROSSIKE, i commend myself for mustering the patience to read your unwieldy arguments which are based on the writings/refutals of atheists, agnostics, pagans, mystics, occultists some of whom you attempted to pass off as 'christians', probably because they bear christian names or make false calims thereto. You call Gordon Stein and G. A. Wells chrsitians? Funny! However, a search on them on the internet will do to clarify their 'faith'. What else should one expect from such persons, except unceasing but fultile efforts to bring down christianity? Thus, their biased views - amplified by yours - are of no moment to me. I do beleive the contents of the Holy Bible, and that Jesus Christ lived, was cruxified on the cross of calvary, died and resurrected on the 3rd day, ascended into heaven and is coming back. I don't care if any atheist dismisses same 1 million times over. But the fate of the atheists i mentioned earlier should teach you and your co-travellers some lesson, that is if you are willing to learn. Unfortunatley, Bernard Shaw said "we learn from history, but we learn nothing from history".

Come to think of it, Celsus' attempt at refuting Christ ended up acknowledging his existence and the fact that he prerfomed miracles.

It baffles me that you deny the existence of Roman accounts on Christ. Have you searched Roman accounts and there was no Pontius Pilate who was Roman governor of Judea? If there was, find out if he left notes of what he did there as governor. Read the 'Acts of Pilate', his notes to Emperor Tiberius on his activities as procurator of Judea, and see if he mentioned the cruxicion of Christ. What do you say about the accounts/writings of other Romans such as Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, Suetonius, etc who acknowledged the existence of Jesus Christ? Even the atheistic Lucian acknowledged Christ's existence in his writing. I know you will, as atheists are wont to do, dismiss them as interpolations by christians.

Do you dismiss creation just because there are no secular records of it? But you believe and canvass evolution which has no historical proof? Do you dismiss the existence of the Almighty God just because your 'science' says it is unable to get facts in proof of that? Tell me, isn't 'metaphysics' a part of philosophy? On what scientific grounds is it based?
Good day.
Sports / Re: Who Is The Most Qualified Coach Between Stephen Keshi And Samson Siasia? by IchieEzeji: 11:43am On Nov 01, 2010
Both are good coaches, but I prefer Siasia. He's less likely to dance to the tunes of the corrupt NFF officials whose sole interest is how to line their pockets and not the betterment of footbal in Nigeria. And that's why NFF has refused to give him the job. Again, Siasia is unlikely to tolerate any form nonsense fron the players; recall what he did to Mikel Obi and Taye Taiwo.

Keshi, on the other hand, can "play ball" - the Nigerian way. And that's what NFF officials want. Moreover, Keshi had his own group while a Super Eagles player/captain; what stops him from re-enacting same as a coach?
Religion / Re: Why Did God Have To ''Kill His Son''? by IchieEzeji: 9:44pm On Oct 31, 2010
Let's not waste our precious time, energy, breath and internet time arguing with unrepentant atheists, agnostics, pagans, free thinkers and faithless fellows. But a little word for them.

For ROSSIKE, know that your blasphemy cannot be explained away via the porous argument that christianity was brought to Africa by the whites. I remain a proud Igbo man, and a title-holder at that. Every race on earth believes there exists an Almighty God. Are u part of that belief? I doubt. And i have studied the Bible to know that its accounts are unassailably true. The fact that Jesus Christ lived in Isreal, was cruxified on the cross, died, was buried and rose from death is confirmed by Roman accounts and the writings of Josephus, a non-christain Jewish historian of the 1st century AD. These are secular records for atheists, agnostics, pagans and free thinkers like you to read and believe, since you object to Biblical accounts.

The Roman accounts will also inform you on when and how the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD, that is if you're among those who peddle the unfounded, baseless argument that the ancestral land of the Jews is somewhere other than where they live currently.

If you worship idols, that is your own lookout. But do you think that the only way to advance your own pagan or non-religious persuasion is by condenming others' faiths or blaspheming against God or Jesus Christ?

Voltaire, the French writer, once declared that within 50 years, christianity will disappear and the Holy Bible will be an anachronistic relic to be found only in museums. Before 5o years thereafter, he died a miserable death, after confessing to having seen the fires of hell waiting for him. TODAY, his former residence is the headquarters of a Bible-printing christian outfit. The same fate befell Karl Marx and his house. Henrich Heine, a notorious German atheist, died a mad man. Sigmund Freud, an Austrian-Jew and the founder of psychoanalysis, died miserably in London in 1939, albeit at an advanced age. We know what happened to Adof Hitler and the Third Reich after he declared himself the "God of Germany".

The likes of John Lennon, Marilyn Munroe, et al rejected and denounced our Lord Jesus Christ and died miserable deaths.
Even as mad as Thomas Paine was, he never blasphemed against God. Beware, you and your disciples/co-travellers, of the wrath of God.

One had better ignore this fellow called 'ROSSIKE'. He can only be one of the disciples of the Devil and a harbinger of the anti-Christ. If he cares, let him read the stories of many self-acclaimed atheists (like Heine, Freud, Russel, etc) to find out how they ended up miserably, how many of them recanted their atheistic outpourings on their death beds. He should also find out what happened to the likes Jonh Lennon, Marilyn, et al who denounced our Lord Jesus Christ.
Celebrities / Re: Charly Boy Arrested For Harassment And Breach Of Public Peace. by IchieEzeji: 7:44pm On Aug 17, 2010
I'm not surprised at all by Charly Boy's uncultured mannerisms. He's a lawless fool. They should treat him the way he deserves - as a villain. It startled and amused me sometime ago when i saw him on screen preaching against use of hard drugs and narcotics. This is somebody i saw often when i was in law school in Lagos as he paraded the streets dragging on his wraps of Indian Hemp.
