Hello people!! Congrats to all those who got their visa approved! I can imagine how you must feel. Relieved!! So I am also hoping to get to school for my masters this fall by the grace of God.. My school finally issued my I-20 last week, I have paid the sevis fee and filled out the ds160 form. I also paid for the visa fee but scheduled my interview for July 28th, omo I did that because even though my school would be sending out my I-20 with DHL, I really don't want any drama with delay or error in I-20, So decided to put it as far as possible just incase. Reading all your comments, I feel like that's too late, my school resumes last week in August so like a month from resumption date is my Interview. Abeg I hope there is no latest date from resumption to apply for visa interview or so?? From my research don't think there is. Let me know though. Thanks all!! And honestly, applying for visa in Lag and Abuja is there really any difference? It's all Gods favour 100%. |

Hello All, I am currently in the process of applying for grad school and all your comments have been very helpful! . However, I have some questions and would be grateful if any one can assist. 1. @sirRiddy said something about funding for Masters Program. After researching all i see is Graduate assistantship (TA) not funding, the funding I see is only for PHD students. Please can someone expatiate on this? Asides from scholarships, graduate assistantship (TA) and Private loans what other means of funding is available to international students going for an MS program? 2. I am also reading for GRE but was considering going for lessons instead (Don't consider myself a fast learner and might need extra tutorial). Can someone recommend a company? or do you think the Magoosh vidoes would help regardless of the individuals level of assimilation? 3. I want to pay ahead of time for a day to take the GRE test but from what I see the test seats a full for April. Are there companies that reserve this slot that I could contact? Thanks all! I am a beginner in all this and the whole process of applying is overwhelming! Your responses would help greatly! Thanks! |
