Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by iGary: 5:27am On Jul 21, 2018 |
Hi guys, I would be landing in September with Turkish Airlines/Air Canada. The connections are tight and I'm a bit worried about losing my luggage (I have seen few cases online of this with Turkish airlines). Does anyone know if there a way/facility to track the luggage at the airports?? Landing/settlement is not beans, someone cannot come and add missing luggage to it. I intend to prioritise them at the port of departure though |

katyamizotta: Please reconfirm this cancellation with Travel start again as I'm certain that you don't need a transit visa if u are not leaving the airport between connecting flights. 2 Likes |

mostojr: Some people just want to be 'OK' while other want to thrive and be successful. Education is one way to achieve that success especially in Canada. Her mentality sounds like the latter but I sense you know this but dont want to admit cos you don't want to be away from her. It is non sensible (at least to me) to suggest to someone to forfeit a fully sponsored masters programme for entry level jobs when top management executives take time off (unpaid sometimes) to obtain further education such as this masters programme. Let her do her if you have her interest at heart. You can enroll in her institution too and be doing part time jobs so you get to be close to her (no sha forget to carry ur tuition money oo...lol) |

Thanks for all the informative posts. I will be landing as a PR in the second week of September in Toronto but i'm a bit apprehensive about the settlement process. My previous visits to Toronto and Montreal in the past have been about visiting restaurants, tourists attractions and malls but i realise emigrating is some next level sturvs. Can anyone please refer me to an active community (preferably nigerian) that can make the settlement easier i.e in terms of every day life, social and professional networking and so on. My intentions is to get temporary Airbnb accommodation till i get a more permanent living arrangement but i don't want to be holed up somewhere as if i'm on vacation when i can be out and about. |
Career / Re: Office Romance: Would you date your colleague? by iGary: 4:05pm On Jan 27, 2013 |
73. kristos(m): Quote Post dating your colleague is not advisable from a professional point of view, as earlier posters have advocated, personal issues are are bound to be brought into the workplace thereby lowering productivity. It also brings distractions to the parties involved. No try am, never has a good ending |
