very good idea. There is no point having a stand alone college of education. Contrary to what was stated in the opening statement by Koruji, in fact, the most salient and lasting effect of the OGD era may turn out to be the decimation of the already perilous Ogun state tertiary education quality/system secondary to the conversion of Tai Solarin College of Education to a University. We don't need any more moralizing or glib analyses of education and names of icons from these AGIPs that could have just as well been made about almost any Nigerian university with a famous name. The world is changing and education is changing as well. Delivery of world class education is necessary if we are to catch up with our neighbors and granting an ordinary college of education with atrocious record of producing some of the worst teachers in Nigeria some indefensible university status without putting adequate structures on ground is not just immoral, it is criminal.

These ediots have no good reason to proffer as to why TASUED or whatever the name is shouldnt be scrapped besides the fact that it was named after Tai Solarin.
