Abeg make una dey drop/add something to keep the guy motivated. This is Nigeria and his selfless type are rare.

Where can I apply or get the letter from in Nigeria . we will be landing soon

cheromel:

I'm in ontario and I got the FRSC letter 3 weeks before leaving Nigeria. I also had my Original drivers license with me . My letter showed I had been driving for 26 months and I was able to take the knowledge and vision test, got my G1 license and had the option of taking a G test which I did. So if you have 24 or more months of driving experience, I suggest you get the FRSC letter.

Sorry about getting banned and thanks for the feedback

joo2018:

If you are not working with a limited budget, try Toronto. If you are constrained by budget, try towns in the GTA or slightly outside.

Use google maps to identify cities and use to search on Airbnb and booking.com.

PS: posting a google map link in reply to your post got me banned yesterday.

Kindly assist, my family and I are considering landing in May, however I plan to leave with the kids after 2weeks while my hubby stays back, we wd return before the end of the year. I am currently searching for a short stay apartment in Ontario can someone pls advise cos the locations are quite confusing on Airbnb and booking.com. Because it is a short stay I don’t have a particular preference. Also, I am hoping since my hubby is on ground he can pick up our PR card and find a way to get it across to us before our final landing. I hope this works? Please advise.

Thank you would do so once am settled and have an addy

Raise CSE now.
If not, if you get PPR now, you will be asked to send your passport to a VAC closest to your old address and you will now be sending email for change of VAC.

Congrats to all IELTS acers, ITA clenchers and PPR victors I can see I have missed quite a bit. Quick question I transferred back to Nigeria recently. I was wondering should I raise a CSE to inform IRCC of my address change or would it make sense for me to wait for PPR before I notify them? Also are there any other implications which I need to consider based on this change of location. I will appreciate your help on this. Thanks

I am not sure this information from ICAN is genuine. I had my verification done via email and WES received it, I also know they posted the hard copy but as you should know email is faster.

Cheers

alwayspositive8:
Please ICAN told me that they have sent the ATS transcripts verification by NIPOST to WES as they can't do electronic verification since WES doesn't usually get mails from them .

Please for someone with similar experience how long does it take for the document to get to WES and hope the document will be safe and not tampered with

Hmmm. It is well. The first day I posted my good news, someone questioned the authenticity and I was forced to upload screenshots of some of the proofs. Truthfully, I mistakenly typed 04/06 instead of 13/06. But fortunately for me, I had posted on 17/06 (after my 13/06 ITA), asking questions about the Medicals and PCC... I must have been overjoyed not to notice I typed 04/06... but bro, u could have check my profile to confirm stuffs. smslive2 took his time to check my profile and was able to answer that so I decided nt to talk abt it again. I wasn't expecting the PPR as at the time I got it, so it is expected that I would b shocked

I don’t see why this shd be an issue it will be helpful if we knew what exactly the ADR said. This is common practice even outside Nigeria. The idea is that as you move higher in these firms you should have completed your professional exams, thus promotions get stalled at some point if you haven’t completed the exams, but at a lower level you are being trained and coached on your job so it isn’t a basic requirement for getting a job offer.

DaddyTheFather:
hey people...rookie question coming through abeg...

Precisely what legal basis do nigerians have for working in audit for PWC or KPMG for example, if they dont have ICAN yet (which many I know dont have because they got into PWC even after graduating from engineering degrees). asking cos ADR says to supply this information and I need guidance on how folks that have applied as auditors did so. any input is appreciated. applied under NOC 1111.

Yes I checked that and noticed that Nigerians don't seem to have the med passed just yet after July 31. Thus, my question cos was wondering why the delay

clock89:

I have seen just one case, someone with Aug 1 AOR passed medicals yesterday and got the biometrics instructions letter same day as well.

Hi Talkingboy,

My AAT certificate was issued by ICAN as it was before the introduction of the ABWA certificate. Let’s wait on feedback from Justin I believe he had an ABWA certificate. I had no issues with the evaluation of the ICAN AAT.

Cheers

Talkingboy:
Good morning all .

I have been battling with WES for some time now (Since 2017) , and I need some help .

I have Bsc and ATS/AAT from Ican and I got my ECA Report in July 2018. All necessary correspondences were sent to Wes by Ican and they (Wes) confirmed receipt and verification of Docs/certificate. To my surprise , the ican credential was no where to be found on the ECA Report .

I made this known to them and they requested my certificate again. I did send it to dem and they've been saying nonsense since. The below response was what they sent to me yesterday .

Dear Mr. Talkingboy,

Sincerely,

Director of Evaluations

The certificate ICAN gave me was what I have been sending to them since and they keep rejecting it . Do they want me to goan manufacture cert in OLUWOLE ni ? because I don't know what to do again .

Is there any Post 2013 AAT holder that has successfully crossed this hurdle ?

NB: I picked ICAN as d issuing body and not ABWA when I was filling d form.

Help Biko . Thank you .

Hi to an extent I agree with the tweaking. I had 3 IELTS attempts writing was 7 first attempt rewrote the IELTS then cos of listening, 2nd attempt writing was 6.5 then I had a rethink and last attempt writing was 8.5. What did I do differently studied a lot more Liz was really helpful in my case even though i also used other materials and you tube videos based on random google search for good materials and then I told myself that this was an exam and not a personal thing, I recall in the last 2 I always used my actual personal experiences when writing my essays, this time around I thought about what I felt the examiner wanted to read (I recall making a case for a preference for bicycles over cars in the city ) and prepared my essays that way of cause using the guidelines I got from Liz. You need to also give yourself time to read through to be sure you have limited your spelling or grammatical mistake to the barest minimum. Finally I started off with task 2, in the last 2 I started off with task 1, cos in my head the exam was meant to be easy (irony) but because I just wanted to do something different and I knew task 2 had more points allocated to it, I decided to start off with this to take off the pressure that just in case I was pressed for time at the ending I would have written task 2 properly. I am not sure if this helps but this was my experience. Cheers

sinie:
Tweaked it how? Im desperate to know what I did wrong in my writing.

my result LSRW : 8.5,7.5,9.0,6.5.. I just feel I've done the best i can. I will apply for a remark but i will also retake the exam. I dont think Liz videos helped because i followed all her instructions to the last.. I think I need to do somthing different..Any Ideas plsssss??

You can't use one NOC for both roles naa. They are different roles. Look at 1123 for the 2nd role. The 1st one is not clicking yet. I'm in bed with malaria. Can't do any serious research now, but if you are a compliance officer, you may want to look at 1114. Not sure about that though. I get headache abeg.

So many things happening. This WAEC devt isn’t the best for a lot of people but if it is here to say either peeps begin to consider alternatives or look for a way to deal with it like making contact with WAEC. For all we know WAEC went to speak to WES cool so they can generate some fund from this process... just kidding it is well we would all our prize and overcome all barriers

2 or more certificates adds 33 points. I'd like to know where this 10 coming from please.

Thanks Ysteph really helpful.

Cheers

ysteph:
Any of the evaluating bodies should evaluate it as a Professional Degree.
Lawyers have issues with WES evaluating some law degree as Professional degree so i'll advise you to go with IQAS.
I will advise you to use the search bar here to find optometry ECA etc. to get a live example.
Meanwhile, see below: -
"...For Express Entry, we only accept professional degrees in these fields:
medicine,
veterinary medicine,
dentistry,
optometry,
law,
chiropractic medicine, or
pharmacy."
