Religion / Re: 20 Naira Or Less, Does God Deserve More? by IloveGod1: 4:26am On Jul 18, 2008
The money in the offering plate shows God that you are not a slave to money. That money does not control you and that God comes before money, regardless of how far. (Unless they are real close, then you need to think, which will last longer? Definetly God over anything)
That money goes to missionaries to help them witness.
To witness to the ends of the Earth as/HOW God commanded them to.
So yes, putting money in the offering plate is good,
but only if you mean it within your heart to give.
Not because of a challenge or a dare, because your feel obligated or guilty if you don't.

Putting money in the offering plate is a guilt remover or a way to prove something to someone, it's not only a sign of respect to God, but it help's people fulfill what God has planned for their lives.

And if you do put money in the offering plate for the wrong reasons (ex. guilt remover, obligation, dare, joke), then you might as well not put it in there at all.

God gave us a lot,

so why can't we give him our best?

Because God's littlest attribute is more than the world's largest tribute's put together.
Religion / Re: Is Hell Real by IloveGod1: 4:19am On Jul 18, 2008
First of all, although Jesus and God are one, God is judging us and the world.
Second off, God is being just and merciful.

A lot of times we forget how lucky we are just to be able to go to Heaven.

God could just say that you know, nope, your not perfect, you can go spend eternity in Hell.

Why? Because he's God. And he created Heaven for perfect people to worship him.

We could all just be going to hell because none of us were perfect or ever will be perfect.

Only Jesus was.

Why? Because sin is passed down from men. It says so in the bible.

And God loved us so much that He sent his one and only son to die on the cross for us (John 3:16)
( For God loved the world so much that he sent his one and only begotten son to die on the cross for us)

So God is giving you ever oppurtunity you could ever have to go to Heaven,
now it's up to you to take it?

If he just forgave everyone of their sins and let us all go into Heaven can you imagine the world we would live in today?

There probably would be no law,
it would be choas,
murder and crime would not be considered bad in most people's eyes.

Maybe he wouldn't have sent his son if that would have been the case, but that's how much he loves us.

Enough to send his son to die on the cross for us, give us free will and he allows us into Heaven. A place that only people who lived perfect lives were supposed to be allowed to enter.
Religion / Re: Does The Bible Forbids Taking Of Alcoholic Drinks Or Strong Wine? by IloveGod1: 4:11am On Jul 18, 2008
The bible tells us that we should not allow alcohol to control us.
A lot of Christians do not believe in drinking, like me.
