this is a joke right, what about when you don't get along with your extended family, or when they are jealous of your success. i believe when God said a man shall leave his family and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one, he didn't include the extended family, so if you cannot put your wife first then abeg do not even bother to get married, cuz if you cannot trust the woman who promised to give up her life, body and everything, to make you happy and assist with your success in life then you are an idiot.

i dunno about this thread but my mom married my dad when he had nothing, she left her country (usa) n moved to naija with my dad, n they both built their wealth together, n she has been in naija with my dad for 30 years, so it all depends on the kind of guy you marry n if he is in it for the long haul.

Family / Mother Microwaved Her Baby- Who Does That by ima1(f): 8:56pm On Aug 29, 2008
DAYTON, Ohio - A mother was arrested on suspicion of murdering her newborn daughter by putting the baby in a microwave oven.

China Arnold, 26, was jailed Monday on a charge of aggravated murder, more than a year after she brought her dead month-old baby to a hospital. Bail was set Tuesday at $1 million.

“We have reason to believe, and we have some forensic evidence that is consistent with our belief, that a microwave oven was used in this death,” said Ken Betz, director of the Montgomery County coroner’s office. He said the evidence included high-heat internal injuries and the absence of external burn marks on the baby, Paris Talley.

Arnold was arrested soon after the baby’s death in August 2005, then was released while authorities investigated further. Betz said the case was difficult because “there is not a lot of scientific research and data on the effect of microwaves on human beings.”

The death was ruled a homicide caused by hyperthermia, or high body temperature. The absence of external burns ruled out an open flame, scalding water or a heating pad as the cause, Betz said.

Arnold’s lawyer, Jon Paul Rion, said his client had nothing to do with her child’s death and was stunned when investigators told her that a microwave might have been involved.

“China — as a mother and a person — was horrified that such an act could occur,” Rion said.

The night before the baby was taken to the hospital, Arnold and the child’s father went out for a short time and left Paris with a babysitter, Rion said. The mother didn’t sense anything out of the ordinary until the next morning, when the child was found unconscious, Rion said.

Arnold has three other children.

In 2000, a Virginia woman was sentenced to five years in prison for killing her month-old son in a microwave oven. Elizabeth Renee Otte claimed she had no memory of cramming her son in the microwave and turning on the appliance in 1999. Experts said that Otte suffered from epilepsy and that her seizures were followed by blackouts

Family / Re: Can You Live With Your Husband's Younger Sister? by ima1(f): 8:47pm On Aug 29, 2008
oh i did live with my husband's younger sister for like 4 months, everything was going well until i have no idea what happened but she became kinda mean to me, maybe it was because i was depending on her for everything after moving to a new city without my husband present, so i tried to keep to myself and mind my own business, i got a job, and started to work more hours at work so they don't see me all the time, i left for work at 6am came back at 11pm, until i got an appartment and moved out, where i forgot to give her my new address which made things worse to the point i had an arguement with my husband over the whole mess, so i wouldn't advice any new wife to do that, except if she is best friends with her husband's sister.

good 1 david. It all comes down to hard work. Accepting that there are in born levels of brilliance in different people is the first leap away from a first class. I won't settle for a 2 though it takes me an hr to grasp a page.

thank you, that is what i have been trying to say, if you think someone is smarter than you, then you are accepting failure.

Are you smoking cheap crack??

There are kids that just never get it. ever heard of the word "Intelligence Quotient" a.k.a "I.Q"??
Some kids were born Einsteins some kids were born Paris Hiltons.
You can never ever dispute the fact that some kids are just naturally good.
You must admit that some kids are just plain retards.

please we need to start looking at the positive not the negative, but you know something with every disability there is greatness, for example have you heard of the blind little girl who plays the piano without being trained n is now being invited to play for presidents, most big names today weren't that smart n had disabilities like a-d-d (attention deficit disorder) which you'll call retards, Albert Einstein had ADD/ADHD, but he's like the smartest man in the world, he didn't let his disorder affect him, so there is just no excuse, is just that most peope do not have the opportunity to get help. forget about natural brillance everyone is brilliant depends on how we apply it.

Romance / Re: Naija Girls Jealous Or What by ima1(f): 1:52am On Aug 27, 2008
i think its pure jealousy especially with women, they feel like they should be the one getting married and not you especially when the guy in finnnneee, has money or lives abroad, grin why do you think most of our naija actress want men who are based abroad.
Education / Re: Secrets Of First Class Students? by ima1(f): 1:47am On Aug 27, 2008
Natural brilliance, so does that mean you think the person who makes first class is smarter than you, if you are willing to accept that fact then i can see the cause of your failure, cuz watever you put out there is what you get back. i would most likely blame this on our level of comprehension, which tends to be different, but wats stopping you from seeking help, asking extra questions in class (afterall you pay your fees). we just need to be competitive n want to be the best so bad that it freaking hurts.

all men were not created equal

everyone is created with the potential to be great, it all depends on how you use that potential to create opportunities that make you great, God created everyone out of his own likeness, its the opportunities that we create ourselves that generates inequalities, thats where we have men who were born poor n they work hard to make it n become rich, n then we have those who want quick money n end up being poor.
so i don't buy your all men are not created equal story, for example you have a smart student in class, what is stopping the less smart ones from asking the smart student to tutor them, lemme guess "pride", pride is one of the downfalls of a man and sadly so is women lol grin.

i for exampe don't know much math, but i still seek ways to pass it, i look for tutors, ask questions in class so that i can get it, so we need to quit creating excuses for failures and just not accept failure.
