Mary Elizabeth Truss who was the former Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Affairs of the United Kingdom has been announced as the new United Kingdom Prime Minister after the recent concluded elections for Boris Johnson’s replacement.

The South West Norfolk MP, who had also been in the British Parliament since May 2010, would be taking over from Boris Johnson, becoming Conservatives Party’s fourth PM since the 2015 election.

Truss who is 47 years would also be the third female to be the United Kingdom Prime Minister after “Iron Lady” Margaret Hilda Thatcher and later Theresa Mary May.

Truss vowed a “bold plan” to address tax cuts and the energy crisis.

The value of Naira compared to dollar on the exchange outlet Aboki Forex has plunged even more in the black market, trading for N710.

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday, asserted that everything about him is accidental, except farming.

Obasanjo, who was military Head of State before he was elected as civilian President in 1999, said the only thing he did in life that did not come by happenstance is farming.
