Just got a regret mail from Shell despite having ABC form... It's been an agonizing and traumatizing recruitment experience with Shell...this tells alot about Shell's recruitment. It's so obvious there were alot of lobbyings and manipulations..

Have you seen the previous posts about portharcourt based roles?

Even if you had issues accessing your email, there were follow up calls from HR for people in your situation to be aware they got the ABC forms which they needed to act upon. You were meant to complete and send back the form within 48hrs.

So, if you couldn't access your email and you didn't get the follow up call from HR, it means you probably didn't submit the form before the deadline. How then did you got an offer as claimed?

The thing about Shell is, they are known to keep successful candidates in a skill pool. And they call them for offers from time to time as the roles become vacant or created.
But Emmaus is so negative that he wants the worst possible outcome for those are not yet called. Emmaus, try to be positive.

To the bolded, I can say it again, the pool will be considered if for any reason any of those that accepted decline or does not resume. So it is possible.

If I may ask, even though I know you can't answer, how do you know any role has been fully sourced?

Secondly, why does your statement negate what the recruiters are saying?

I know for sure that the target was always for all successful candidates to resume in August at the latest NOT July. That's not even a privileged information.

Anyways, July 1st is just around the corner.

For those still believing that new offers would be made, please ignore these people and keep your faith alive.

for IT roles, only 18 candidates were needed in this round.. all have been resourced with offers made and accepted as at today.

resumptions will be july though some have resumed in june.

other functions similarly have completed resourcing rounds and currently doing onboarding.

Stop saying things you don't know and things you can't prove. It is written boldly in the regret emails sent to unsuccessful IT applicants that the roles have been filled and they might be considered for other recruitment exercises.
But that is usually the end of the road for such applicants.
What you don't realise is that your Shell conducts recruitment excercises in BATCHES.

Many successful candidates are usually kept in a skill pool subject to available vacancies until the end of the calendar year and these candidates usually don't get regret mails.

Even in the last excersise, people resumed months after the "Official Batch".
