Good one from the great anatomist who his courageous to reveal himself without being anonymous for the liberation of anatomy and not too conceited to share idea with undergraduates,graduates in this forum.It hightime in this nation, we Basic Medical Scientist get our autonomy and shouldnt be enslave by medical doctors.If other people can give explicit on how nurses & medical laboratory scientist get there independent from medical doctor it will be welcome.I know some years ago Nurse&MLS are also enslave by Medical Doctors but they unite to get there freedom and recognition in the medical field.We shouldnt fold our arms,keep finger cross and hope miracle will happen from space.As we all know this forum is for all BMS,we should be concern with the job prospect for all career in the field.Am always worried afterward reading hefty books in school,what labour market will provide is sale representative if you even get one thank God,there is no seat for BMS in hospital except lecturing in teaching hospital.Are we all to be a lecturer?Not all,who is the saviour for BMS?Everyone of us.Recognition must be given to us and well treated,imagine most people dont know who is a physiologist,anatomist,biochemist they only know perhaps when seeking admission.Everyone knows who a doctor,pharmacy,nurse,accountant,engineer is.Am using this medium to reach every predecessor to pave suitable way for the upcoming one by speaking,agitating for the freedom of BMS and the upcoming one should also strive for liberation as well.Let all join hand together to save BMS and smile at end.Thanks to everyone.Looking forward to seeing more BMS precursor and pioneer who will come for the aid of BMS.

Whenever I sit down trying to contemplate on the prospect of physiology,I shook my head 4 d upcoming 1 coming behind in this field and feel the pain of some graduate in BMS course but I think that only won't help. Can you imagine a MBBS graduate given admission to study master in PHS at ease,diversifying into various BMS course with relieve while they make it tedious 4 graduate of BMS to come into there career. They even proof to know more than those who specialise in BMS,well am not to contend with them here. But what is ASSON,SPAN,physiological society of 9ja doing on this. If pals won't take it personal I think BMS course should be abolished at undergraduate level because most of there work ar caried out by doctors and seems to knw much. Honestly with the present situation on ground there isn't suitable job prospect for BMS in the health sector except lecturing or either going into other field like financial institutn wich wil nt have room for unprofession. BMS is nt even profession,what are those carry headed body of BMS doing to get there price. Liverpool where av u been since, UNN genius welcm,vrybody here let make our contribution. It depend on d admission given to u.U may go 4 service if u havent gt d admisn bt if u hav gt d admisn go 4 medicine cos u can serve while doin housemanship.

My own take on dis is dat 1)if both give u admission,u have to consider,analyse d course u ar given very well nd go 4 d best course u suggest 2)if only 1 of dem give u admission,go 4 it bt perhaps u ar nt satisfy wit d course purchase another jamb form.Dont turn down d previous,move on&if d new jamb work out u can go 4 it.Pray aswell.

@TCD & all MBBS student am really impress with d information u gave out acknowledging d fact dat physiology is d basis/bed rock of medcine.Am neither here to say much abt physiology cos am sure it wat u knw nor to give physiology pride.It alway my pleasure whenever i see medical student of good intellectual n always happy to be a medical student studying physiology,however am sometime worried as a physiologist because of d prospect of d course in nigeria.As i think perhaps cos am new to d course i realise d work subjected to physiologists is carried out by doctors claiming they knw all d aspect in medical i.e-Anatomy Biochemistry Physiology n d oda basic med courses n not paving way 4 physiologist 2 do dere job.I have some other thing to say but i wil lyk u to pls try answer som of my ?1)Is job oppourtunity still available 4 physiologist in hospital n how often do dey employ dem,i guess doctor ar d 1 doin dere job2)Aftermath doin physiology n want to study medicine wat ar d criteria needed to do so,is it by writing jamb again after 1st degree.THANKS.LOOKING 4WARD TO SEEING YOUR REPLY.1 LUV
