Politics / Re: The Origin Of The Name “BIAFRA” And Why South-south And South-east Must Unite by Inteltower: 5:49pm On Sep 21, 2019
Biafra is vision/proposition that will benefit both SE & SS. just like the US conquered & divided the USSR so also did the British, North & SW divided us, confiscated our properties, gave us only 20 naira each, & now some persons in the SS tribes that dont know their history is fighting igbos that only wish them well.

Biafra might be an illusion but it is better than the reality we have today called Nigeria

Politics / Re: Reasons Why Nigerians Hate The Igbos – Chinua Achebe by Inteltower: 9:42am On Sep 21, 2019
EagleNest:
Culturally Igbos are quite distinct from Hausa and Yoruba and this kind of built them to be natural survivalists. Regardless of what faced them...somehow like a rubber they find a way to bounce back. This cultural strength made them more daring and competitive. They can tell off anyone regardless of position or accomplishment in life, even to themselves.

The colonial ogas didn't find Igbos easy to conquer and dominate, due to that cultural default that abhors centralised lordship.

Nevertheless, they are imperfect too especially in managing success. It enters the head, which I think also comes naturally unless you have trained self not to, but it is not fair to rub it on others face, because it will provoke envy and hatred. Maybe it is one of the reasons Igbos have not fared well in building political relationship with the west or North

Politics / Re: Who Can Lead Nigeria Out Of The Nightmare? YOUTH TAKE OVER by Inteltower: 7:32am On Sep 19, 2019
AyomideMrFabu:
Youth Take Over.
I have taken time to study the dynamics of the governance we have today and the more the day, the more it is becoming the worst nightmare. I asked myself why we are maltreated and ungodly? Also, I was amazed when we voted in the agent of change who promised us heaven on earth and later besieges on us agonies just as if things fall apart.
I asked myself again, is it there fault? Without a drop of doubt, swing through my sense how we joke a lot with things that are costing us our future. Like this one where monkey swallowed N70 millions and snake swallowed N36 millions. We begin to tag “snake in the monkey shadow” where those old leaders are easily sprouting with our futures.
Another question came across, who are those making the tags and who are those making the happenings? The simplest answer I was able to give was the old leaders who we offered the chance to pilot our affairs that now begins to lay us back with enunciating gossips purposeful for their interest.
It is a shame in the life of a country which was once the ‘giant of Africa’. I sift and asked myself, are these their faults? No, if not the youths that gave them the chance.
Youth take over, I found it appealing when the motion was moved and realize its time to define the word consistency with growth.
The time our feelings need to be fulfilled about real politics discuss. The greed and overrated propagandists parties who pushed us around have to stop peddling our interest. Neither the PDP nor the APC or any other allotted party can take us to the promising arena. Therefore, we need new philanthropist, new ideologies that would cast the long bewildered threats.
The old wagon leaders achievements cannot be justified in comparison to the hardship, inflation, unemployment of youths, economic recession, under the equipped hospital, decay of educational system, the erratic downfall of education standard and the national growth.
Those old leaders brought these to us. The youths need to prioritize and take our pride in changing history. We need to sacrifice for the unborn. In addition, we all need to prove of not being machines, we are not robots. Let show them we know what they are doing to us, and collectively through unity, we are ready to stop them.
However, we should be committed to standardize and sanitize the Nigeria political emporium. The ace of the old leaders is to keep us poor. They are always after getting us manipulated. They walk on us with the influence of our stolen money. Thereafter, they used their political strategies to keep us hungry and promptly turned politics into money business.
During the election period, they gave us bread and steal away our future for complete 4years; they promised us not to be fulfilled basis and meal our hood for a day to enjoy the rest of 3years and 364days left. They overshadowed our interest in money politics. The youths should stand to end it; we should with our one voice of vibrancy refused to sell our future and that of the unborn.
Youth Take Over, our commitment to engendering a new Nigeria will be attained if and only we are ready to say no to money politics. The idea of being a political animal/servant should be drowned. We should use all the available avenue to make our voice heard. Therefore, we need to show them our valiant. We should keep on beating the drum till everyone can dance to the beat.
Although, it seems a herculean task but achievable. Let’s put aside personal/emotional interests and sentiments. We should maximize the use of the available gadget to educate, empower, enlighten, and organize ourselves for the monumental assignments because we’ve been pushed around enough.
We can begin the ideology by getting informed about the electoral acts and bye-laws. Eschewing ultra vitiated bellicosity among us, sifting through the new ones from any political party with specific ideas and personal proven track record to the macrocosm community and humanity demonstrating been efficient to pilot the affairs.
Youth Take Over! At no point should any youth speak on behalf of anybody who is flinty enough to rule at old age? Imagine brains and life’s that have been adversely affected severely due to the recklessness exhibited and the story of “serve the father, serve the son” which now spread like a viral disease.
The issue of being a godfather should be knocked down. The youth should inhibit the will of making things happen themselves.
Furthermore, the moment the visions are envisaged, it then turns into a matter of time and compassion before it becomes history. The utmost zeal in reinforcing Nigeria concession of a new nation is making a move begin with you. It’s essential and more crucial to be diplomatic, visionary and encompass the status quo in building a New Nigeria.
YOUTH TAKE OVER!
Stop them from the inhumane treatment; we can make it happen.
I Stand with; #NotTooYoungToRule

let us start at tackling the matter from the electoral phase
I came up with an idea that is about a private electoral group. what I mean is an aside group that votes for political candidates based our collective consensus, number & analysis.

we are getting it wrong when the electoral polls come, the voting behavior by our youths & regions are appalling. the youths have majority stake in the population so automatically we ought to have more of the electoral power at the voting polls.

am suggesting a movement/group I call "We Vote"
a body or expanding group that vote rightly, or by a common goal based on majority.

no more should we be careless allowing ethnicity dictate at the electoral polls but an organized group that collectively vote persons based on merit.

so let us come together now, & build a strong membership base, engage in politics & dictate the political terrain. 2023 will soon be around the corner..

if interested quote me so that I add you to our whatsapp group.

It's better ifor Kanu to collaborate with other freedom fighters like Sowore and the rest to lead a massive protest for a better Nigeria.

Even among the Igbos there is no unity. A man from Imo wont support a man from Anambra politically because they are from different states..I have seen that happen among Igbos.

If Biafra eventually come into reality there will be a fresh war among Biafrans on who to be their leader. Example is what's happening in Sudan today

Biafra is not the solution and will never be. We are over 200 million in population being ruled by less than a thousand people. Neither the police or army can match our strength if we all come together to kick against the bad system in Nigeria.

a homogenous nation country will always fair better just like Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Fiji, etc

so igbos are like the Black's in the US who have to wait 30/50 years till they produce a President.

the Nigerian dream for peace is a farce that can never materialize., so long they don't restructure this country & put it back to regional govt. & with the political system favouring the NW,NE &SW how will their ever peace.

the only gain from Nigeria is our geographical size, cohesion of ethnic groups, natural resources, human capital & population that make us a force to be reckoned with in the world.

the biafran dream is attractive because small/homogeneous independent countries have the potential of developing in speed & being ranked amongst the first world countries

I laugh at Igbos considering their touted intellect. Kanu is a UK African waste man and anyone familiar with Britain will know precisely what I am talking about. This scammer and opportunist knows precisely what is possible and what is not in societies with strict rules concerning meddling with the affairs of sovereign States like Nigeria when international law has clearly set provisions and unambiguous rules about nationhood and respect for sovereignty .

Yet everything is a photo opportunity for Kanu and a chance, for his own agenda, to continue fooling those he regards as barely literate cretins and gullible mumus so he remains visible, 'earning', and 'trending' by all means even if Igbos become a laughing stock and pariah with battered reputation that will set them back another few decades as the civil war did. I honestly don't know a more self-destructive people in the entire world than Igbos.

USA , UN, UK ,France, Germany, ICC or any State, entity or organisation cannot grant Igbos Biafra and secession from the independent nation of Nigeria . Only Nigeria can even if Kanu the scammer continues deceiving Igbos others will help you gain Biafra just so he can keep swelling his back account and indulging his love for fame and world attention. How many times has Kanu and IPOB bragged Buhari, Buratai et al will face justice at the ICC as if the international Court can just come to drag the democratically elected President of the biggest black nation on earth, a sovereign one at that, to face charges before what is considered a discredited white man's court, without the integrity to charge George Bush and Tony Blair for war crimes against Iraq but will harass Africans like Charles Taylor, because of petition from a proscribed terrorist group called IPOB? Yes that would really fly before the world.

Never sat on the fence in my life and I can predict this will end in tears for Igbos like the civil war. Intelligent folks know this is inevitable and where Kanu is leading the Igbos. What is not so clear is why Igbos have this mumuism in their DNA any fraudster can emerge to scam them of their senses at any time be it FFK, Fayose, Kanu et al. I can only conclude the Igboman's trauma over the loss of the civil war and hate of others is so great it makes him vulnerable to exploitative messages of opportunist who seek to divide and conquer him for personal gains like Kanu and co. This is another exercise in futility that will further worsen the fate of Igbos in Nigeria.

your foolery is clear

I believe you have forgotten the world international court, if foreign countries can't ..that will because top advanced countries respect it.

Health / Re: Help Needed: Sleeplessness, Persistent Pain In The Head And Neck by Inteltower: 6:29am On Sep 13, 2019
ssgi4in1:
Good evening good people. I am hoping I will get some help here.
Pls this will be a bit a long. I beg you to read. So you can understand better.

My problem started last year April (2018). I was diagnosed with typhoid and malaria. I was started on a course of treatment that involves anti malaria and an antibiotics (azithromycin). I noticed the quality of my sleep was dropping after taking the antibiotic for 2 days. My instincts was that it was the medicine. I eventually stopped taking it but by then my sleep have become badly affected. I woke up a Sunday morning after taking some drinks the previous night at a wedding with one severe type of headache ( I started the antibiotics on Thursday, took on Friday and missed it that Saturday) I continued that Sunday morning. So I eventually stopped all medicine and consulted a doctor friend. By then I had gone two nights with little or no sleep. He prescribed some drugs that was meant to induce sleep and even increased the dosage yet I still couldn't sleep.

Meanwhile before then, I am someone who could be called a sleeper. I can sleep at anytime without stress. I even take naps here and there in my office. So it was strange.

I eventually went to some hospitals and their treatment involved giving me sleep medicines and sometimes it could help me get very little amount of sleep and then it will make me feel very groggy and heavily fatigued. By this time a weird sensation have developed in the left side of my back head (this pain doesn't come and go... It is permanent). After spending some huge amounts I wasn't getting relief until I went to a neurologist. He first suspended all the sleep medications and started giving me amitriptyline 5mg every night ( after few days I started feeling better and had some deep sleep) but still the problem wasn't gone ( head pain and stiff neck).

I was paying about 30k monthly at the neurologists. It wasn't sustainable and I eventually stopped and decided to take my fate in my own hands. I eventually stopped taking any medication for sleep last November.

Between then and now, I have had some good nights where I slept very deeply and nights when I struggled. I have gone like 2 weeks without sleep issues. But still the pain in the back of the head and neck still persist.

Just yesterday I went to consult another gp and his diagnosis was that it was the poor sleep that is causing the pain in the head and neck. But I still find it difficult to believe. I will be having a video session with an Indian neurologist tommorow and I hope he will make a different diagnosis.

My coming here is to know if anyone have had an experience with my case and I would like to know how they solved their problem.

I will appreciate any suggestion that will be of help.

Thank you.
..

Politics / Re: IPOB: Enemy Of Democracy by Inteltower: 12:42pm On Sep 10, 2019
Montracine:
The increasing notoriety of the IPOB, this time as an external terror group, is yet another baffling example of the rising profile of counter-democratic forces in Nigeria. Gone are the days when the most potent threat to democracy was the military coup. The barrel of the gun has now been effectively replaced by the brigandage of rogue civilian individuals and groups who absurdly insist on realizing their rabid political interests by undermining established constitutional democratic institutions and processes.
The IPOB exists on the extremist edge of such political derangement, possessed by the “actualization” of the dead and buried corpse of Biafran “nationality”, as its crazy cause. Under the misguidance of Nnamdi Kanu, a queer non-entity who lived mostly in the UK as a south London DJ with dual British-Nigerian citizenship, IPOB, which rose from the debris of its predecessor MASSOB, took on the outlandish agenda of agitating for the “Independence and Restoration of the defunct state of Biafra”.

Coming almost four decades after the generality of Igbos had re-integrated themselves into the post-war “no victor, no vanquished” Nigeria as fellow citizens across the land, exhuming Biafra as a political objective was an unthinkable farce and an abominable re-opening of healing wounds of war. But there was clearly something sinister behind the emergence of Kanu, wearing a Jewish prayer shawl and claiming to be a Jew, while fanning embers of ethnic rebellion to dismember his fatherland in inciting broadcasts from his London based Radio Biafra.

It was no surprise that Kanu eventually focused on “guns and bullets” aimed at “Fulani herdsmen” before coming to Nigeria to, as it were, ignite the timed upheavals of provocative posturing against law enforcement and peaceful co-existence with his rapidly revitalized private army. He had no qualms in literally imposing his delusional leadership over the mandates of elected governors in his south-eastern pockets of influence and exhibiting daring defiance of court bail conditions and the wise counsel of respected elders and statesmen to exercise caution and restraint.
Only the no-nonsense “Python Dance” military operation decisively ended Kanu’s disaster-seeking daydreams and forced him to take to his heals in a clandestine escape that not only betrayed the zombie-loyalty of his “troops” but also lent credence to his mercenary mission as an agent provocateur. More devastating however was the quandary in which he left the so-called Igbo leaders who, in their own moment of myopic opportunism, dramatically embraced the irreverent rebel as their “son” and facilitated his bail apparently for pre-election interests.

The latest outing of Kanu’s IPOB followers in Europe as the terrifying enforcers of former Deputy Senate President, Chief Ike Ekweremadu’s “Nuremburg Trials”, and threats to launch similar physical assaults against Igbo leaders, including elected governors, who visit Europe henceforth, is an indication of the IPOB determination to constitute an external and internal counterforce to the stability of our democracy. It has also been rightly viewed by Ohaneze NdIgbo and the south east governors as a direct attack on their mandates as recognized leaders of the Igbo which could indeed challenge the sustainability of democracy in the south east.

The unsettling scenario of the potential danger that the activities of IPOB pose to the integrity and survival of Nigeria’s democratic dispensation takes on an ominous implication in the face of Kanu and the IPOB’s glaring lack of credibility or popular mandate to so forcefully demand the actualization of Biafra. They willfully refuse to recognize the right of all Igbos to vote for or against the proposition, as stipulated in the constitution.

If this is not akin to a coup d’etat in the making, it surely looks like one. In which case the Federal Government must take a renewed serious view and take necessary action to deal decisively with the looming threat to our democratic dispensation. Particular concern should be directed at the international dimension of the IPOB menace, especially the seemingly duplicitous stance of the British Government , which provides a safe haven for Kanu and his Radio Biafra to launch attacks against the Nigerian state. Even when Kanu was in legal custody in Nigeria, he was visited by members of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. There must be more than meets the eye in Britain’s interest in an enemy of Nigeria it brought up and granted citizenship but refuses to call to order!

It is worth restating that, notwithstanding the political heresy of advocating a Biafran “renaissance”, Kanu and his clique would not be seen as enemies of the nation state if they channeled their agitation through registered political parties and the National Assembly as they know they should instead of war-mongering and seeking to destabilize Nigeria. Their deliberate choice of counter-democratic pursuit of political aspiration exposes them as unapologetic saboteurs of the Nigerian state thereby deserving maximum deterrence by all means deemed fit.
