That’s about 4 months ago (quite some time). People have gotten visas after your sister did. Some folks from Lagos got visas with temporary work permit. That your sister’s visa didn’t have a temporary work permit doesn’t invalidate others experience.

Getting a job within 1-2months might not be possible because you need to extend your visa and get work permit, this takes 3 to 4 months after your arrival.
Maybe you can send money back to him after 6months.

Study visas now come with temporary work permit. Valid for as long as the the visa is valid. So, getting job in the first 2 months MIGHT be possible.

That's actually the main concern. People just come here to say they have dates without giving any hints that might be helpful to others. So many follow up questions that could help if answered. Congratulations to those with ADs!

I just spoke with the consulate office, the lady said Student Visa application is on hold at the moment. I told her some people claimed to have received appointment, she said she doesn't know anything about it.. All she know is that the section is still closed.
So, you guys claiming you received AD, kindly send us screenshots oo.

For those that had appointment dates prior to the lock down and later got a cancellation mail from the embassy, the second paragraph of that cancellation mail read thus:

"As soon as the travel restrictions are lifted you will get a new appointment from the Consulate General. Therefore kindly refrain from appointment request as well as status enquiries."

People are still expecting and even applying as some schools have postponed their Application deadline to August 20..Even summer guys just started lectures...I believe most schools will resume December/January...they might even scrap summer admissions next yr so as to accommodate Winter admission..So, I believe there is no need to panic much tho..

Dear God, help us open this German Embassy

You all should calm down. That post is quite misleading.That account owner is only deceiving people. Here are the reasons why you shouldn't take that post and account seriously:

1. The person mentioned AD in the first post. That's Appointment date which is quite different from AM, approval mail. Obviously doesn't know the difference between the two. Suspicious!

2. The person reported to have had interview this year around February or so, before lock down. No way s/he could have had that interview without a full and completely funded Blocked Account. Hence, the embassy couldn't and wouldn't have asked you to bring BA in your approval mail. Again, suspicious!.

Guys be mindful of fake accounts and purveyor of lies just to cause unnecessary confusion.
