hello, you didn't not say what genre you would like it to be. whether it is 2d or 3d? well am much of 3d and you can search for some of my old works in this graphics forum orĀ at http://unogu007.googlepages.com (unfortunately its been long i updated that site with new stuff as its just a temporary one, but i will do so as soon as possible). you can contact me through mail. |

like the comp in the second image. the lighting effect in the first image is way too distracting! |
![]() |
can't seem to delete the first image! ![]() |

hey grafikdon, you beat me to the punch. had an idea like your anime that i started working on but it won't be available till late November/december! kind of similar story but with a little bit of twist in them. ( now i feel like a copywrite! ![]() guys you just keep up the hardwork and maybe one day we will do a short movie with work production online! ![]() really like what i see here! keep up the good work. just wanted to add this image i just did a week ago.

don't think you should have too much problems with the uvs'. most of the objects there would need planer and cylindrical mapping. Good Luck! |
![]() |
don't think your idea looks flat, all you need is to have a great texturing and lighting session and it should come out very rich in details. why don't you try look for reference of abandoned ships? |
![]() |
nice start, will be looking forward to this thread. are you going to make it appear sunken? ![]() |
![]() |
just wanted to add that the bulls and the car were modelled. i just used a background picture cos i couldn't motivate myself to model the background. ![]() |
![]() |
something i cooked up. ![]() modelled in lightwave3d, post processed in adobe photoshop.

yep, that is what i am talking about. though i would take the reflection card a little further from the car so that it can cover a lot more and not be too pronounced. also it will be a nice transition from side of the car to the top. nice image, u just have got to finish that image, add more details keylock, dents, headlamps,e.t.c ![]() |
![]() |
nice images codename 47, but i think you need to add a bit more details and watch out for consistency in your lighting and reflections. like in the car image reflections on the bonnet and sides of the windscreen and completely disappears on the windscreen itself. ![]() nice start anyway. justbones, you can't rush art! just take your time. |

or you could just look for 'trust' tablets, arguably second to the wacom. am sure it still will be pretty hard to find. ![]() |
![]() |
think i have to redo that my iparrot again ![]() |
![]() |
hey justbones, like that your concept. will like to do another 3d version of it, but wanted to ask for your permission first. |
![]() |
did this a long time ago! so i think i now have use for it on this forum. ![]()

everybody loves and knows photoshop, but it is not the only good graphic package there is. the open source softwares i giving the commercial ones good competition. i know an short animated movies which was a great success and recieved international recognition. pre-production work was done in THE GIMP!!!! ![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
it boasts of the same interface like photoshop! basically the same idea if you have used photoshop before. very good graphic package i must say, so don't fill bad you didn't get photoshop. there is a link where you can start learning gimp, just have to find it, ![]() |

by the way in case some of you guys are not aware am a 3d modeller/animator. so what you guys got in mind. |

ajadrage, all said and done, the cost, as already been said depends on whether it is a 2d/3d animated film. if it is too 2d a lot of time and investment goes to art supplies, concept art, etc. if 3d, it still depends on the level of detail or realism that you are trying to achieve and your time constraint, cos that enables you to know the amount of 2d/3d artist you need, motion capture, graphic tablets, render farm etc. what you do is write your script, discuss the amount of major/secondary characters, props, etc. and then you will be able to estimate the cost and time to complete an animated film. well, thank God we are always here to help! Good Luck! by the way, am with you guys on this one! |
