Only Lagos state can buy Ghana. Ignorant gaynian. Your economy is driven by alomo bitters export no wonder your people cried when we closed borders. Thank Nigerians for pumping tuition fees into your wretched economy. How many Ghanaians will even smell $5000 in their lifetime? $1m is too small, you people should demand $1 billion for shops.

Rubbish , running your mouths as Nigerians doesn’t impress anyone!

As a sovereign nation Ghana has made laws in the interest of its citizens and loud arrogant fools like you show up and want the country’s laws to be changed because you are Nigerians.

I spit on your attitude!

Any person that is the president of Nigeria is the de facto leader of ECOWAS. That's a fact.

Do you people even know the real reason of this meeting?

It has nothing to do with Nigerian traders in Ghana at all.

So far as the Nigerian traders are concerned , Ghana has its laws and just as Ghana cannot tell Nigeria to change its laws , Nigeria cannot tell Ghana to change its laws, period !

The nature of my job have made it possible for me to visit many countries in Africa. I have visited Kenya, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Liberia, South Africa, Namibia, Bostwana, Togo, Benin, Tanzania, Ghana etc. I have never know people could be so stupid, till I traveled to Ghana. Ghanaians are the most stupid and senseless people I have ever met in my life. Very noisy and primitive ugly people's I have ever met in life. I was able to visit many timid villiges called cites by Ghanaians in Ghana. Places like Tamale, Bolga, Ho, Hohoe, Nkwanta, Yeji, Bimbilla, Wa, Takoradi, Kumasi, Obuasi, Techima, Suyani, Kintampo, Buipe, Koforidua, Bawku, Damango, Bole etc. Honestly , Ghanaians are very shameless timid people's, they eat and bath in public and also goes public toilets. 96% Ghanaians don't have toilets in their various homes. A typical Ghanaian would live in Jerusalem and be going public toilet in Jericho. Very wicked and voodoo's people, every family in Ghana have a mad person in their houses and Ghanaians die every minute like fowl's .Ghanaians envy and hate good things. The only thing that make a typical Ghanaian happy is when some dead because they celebrate the dead and hate the living. I was shock seeing Ghanaians dancing naked, eating and drinking in a funeral rite of a 24 years old girl in Ejisu Kumasi. The 2 years I stayed in Ghana, I didn't witness any wedding except funeral invitation every Saturday from Foolish Ghanaians

This description sound very much like Nigeria !

Rubbish. Gbajabiamila or whatever he's called is wasting his time. The Nigerian sellers in Ghana broke only one law and that law is the one conceived off in the typical Ghanaians scrambled and yaga-yaga mindset to undermine their Nigerian competitors. The Nigerians in those markets broke the law of outselling the Ghanaian competition. As long as the Nigerians there outsell the Ghanaians, their stall will be shut down at some point in future. When they shut down the Nigerian stalls, they will come up with some other law or variation of the current one that they claim the Nigerians broke.

The Nigerians need to return to Nigeria or become Ghanaian and stop complaining to Nigeria. The Nigerians need to start opening parallel business in Nigeria or make other contingencies for surviving in Nigerian when the inevitable happens and they are kicked out of Ghana.

And those of you Nigerians that use this issue as a stylish way of attacking Nigeria in context of your political goals need to stop this and employ other tactics. You’re not half as smart as you think. I spit on the lot of you ninkampoops!

You seem to have some sense amongst the lot but I'll say one additional major factor in this saga is that Ghanaians are afraid Nigerian's with their huge population and financial muscles would take over the retail market and that is a genuine concern. That is why the retail niche is reserved for Ghanaians. Many countries around the world have similar laws.

Nobody likes foreigners coming to their country and controlling stuff, never.

Nigerians who can't comply with Ghana's laws must just go back to Nigeria, after all Nigeria has a huge market, and a lot of money; is Nigeria not the best place to ply your trade.

Why would you come to small Ghana and crowd their small retail market and create tension and possible confrontation?
Politics / Re: Gbajabiamila Visit To Ghana Already Yielding Results - NIDO Ghana Chapter. by Ironi: 11:13am On Sep 06, 2020
I thought Nigerians keep running their mouths that Ghana needs them ??

The laws of Ghana will never be changed because of Nigerians !!

Why don’t you fucking stay in your country and develop it and leave Ghana alone ??

We should allow Nigerians with their population like rabbits to come and take over Ghana ??

Just imagine the Chinese or Lebanese invading Nigeria and muscling you out of your retail market , how would you feel??

It is in the interest of Nigerians the laws are not changed so who are not able to comply go back to Nigeria because there is likely to be a bloody confrontation amongst Ghanaian traders and Nigerians down the road .

Why are Nigerians scared of living in their countries??

Ghanaian government claims Nigeria supplies 25% of gas to their power plants in other to provide electricity for their citizens.
Ghanaian government has been defaulting on payment of gas supplies over the past, out of $180 million dollars owed by Ghana ($10 million dollars paid, imagine that) has Nigeria government stop the flow?
Ghanaian government makes huge revenue worth $30 billions dollars from Nigerian students who enroll in their universities.
Huge fees of non citizens ID cards from non citizens which is extortion, have you seen some one who pay for visas, plus residents permit in Europe and asked to pay for non citizen ID card?
Nigerian government has supported their economy from the time of kufour to rawlings millions of dollars for aid yet they treat and harass Nigerian citizens.
Nigerian embassy building was destroyed recently but the Nigerian government did nothing, it let it pass.
Question : what has Nigeria as a country benefit from ghana as a country.

I hope you guys followed what you read.

The speaker is imploring Ghana to change the $1m trade requirement and Ghana is saying until anything is done about the law, Nigerians or any foreigners affected by the law should obey the laws of the land because even Ghanaians are expected to respect the laws of the land.

Nothing has changed !

For an official of a country , Nigeria to travel to another country and ask them to change their laws just to accommodate Nigerians is ridiculous to say the least !

The arrogance and impudence of Nigerians sometimes makes you wonder who the fucking hell this Neanderthals think they are ?

Ghana should change it’s laws so you with your huge population would invade Ghana and mess up the retail trade of its population and create a social strife ?

Okay, so what would you suggest cos to me, if we claim to be under one umbrella and the country that has the biggest share is being ridiculed continuously, then what's the benefit?

Nigeria alone is about 200m while the rest of West Africa (15 countries) make up just about 180 million. That says a lot.

If I close my border to them, knowing fully well that I have the biggest producing and consuming market, then they all would have no choice than to respect me.

There are millions of West Africans in Nigeria, undocumented, working and living in Nigeria without harassment from Police. Instead we fight ourselves, Yoruba vs Igbo vs Hausa... As a country, I think we need to re-analyze what works for us o. There's a reason US doesn't open it's borders to Mexico without a visa, whereas Mexico allows Americans enter cos they know they're coming to spend.

UK is pulling out of the EU cos they are the ones benefitting the least...

What is the volume of trade between Nigeria and Ghana ?

Very insignificant, so it makes really no difference if even you have a population of 1 billion .

Moreover, Nigeria has over 50 products banned from entering Nigeria from Ghana !

Ghana is still going, regardless !

Nigerians should note that Ghana would not under any circumstance allow Nigeria to bully it.

Looks like you have stupid leaders and lawmakers who think issuing threats to sovereign nations just because you have a population like roaches is the way to resolve issues, that would not happen!

Nigerian leaders have developed a dumb attitude of running to defend their citizens at any place if even they are being lawless and going against the laid down laws of the place.

We shall teach you arrogant loudmouths , uncouth and lawless Neanderthals to respect even the smallest people or nation you deal with.

You Nigerians know how to create problems and induce a confrontational and violent situation every where you go. This is an old story and yet you repost it to incite and heighten emotions.

You did similar stuff in the North during the Biafra war and you ended up killing each other like dogs.

We would not allow you to bring the same shit to Ghana , especially you the igbos who seem to be trouble makers.

I know you would certainly take what is happening now to another violent level and I hope the Ghana government understand who you are and what they are dealing with before it’s too late.

They should be very assertive and throw you all out of the country before you start creating problems. There is nothing Nigeria can do in this circumstance when Ghana is enforcing its laws.

Ghana would be still way way better off with any stupid retaliatory measures of Nigeria than let this lawless and and aggressive and violent Nigerians live amongst them.

The Ghana government should let all the Nigerians who cannot obey and live with the laws of Ghana leave the country , period !

Ghana should be very assertive because they have a problem on their hand which can easily get out of hands.

Ghanians are very funny indeed.
Always fond of screaming to us about how their xenophobia is backed by law.
I don't think anyone is disputing that there's a law that prevents foreigners from retailing;but showing me an extract from your constitution doesn't change the fact that it remains xenophobia.
Is this the first time inhumanity has been backed by law?
You think that whatever you put in law is right just by virtue of being law.
Slavery was legal in the US after all.
Segregation was legal.
Apartheid was the law of the land in SA.
Showing me a piece of your law doesn't erase your xenophobia, ghanians made the law right?
Anyway it's a shame that ghanas idea of providing employment for her citizens,is to push out immigrants from petty retail jobs.
They've been given the impression that foreigners dominating their retail sector is the problem of Ghana.
While their government shyly avoids real economic development.
With the way they over hype their country, youd think this wouldn't be their idea of employment and economic growth.

Very ignorant, Nigeria has similar laws ?

Nigeria for instance has a list of products it will not allow to enter Nigeria from Ghana !
