A pity.

A trip from Abijo GRA in Lagos to Victoria Island and back is unthinkable.

I wish most companies management can embrace the work from home model.

Everything about this country just seems unfair. Every day being sadled with impossible decisions just to survive.
Work from home without stable electricity? Except the employees are earning well, it's not sustainable

Nigeria is just a failed state. We got independence since 1960, till today electricity is still the biggest problem of nigeria.
The truth is Nigeria as one nation will never work, divide this country now let everyone go their separate ways. Nigeria is just like joining USA, Russia, Ghana, Qatar, China and North Korea together
Fela - Just like that(1986)
"Whiteman rule us many years we get electric constantly
Our people come take over dem come build Kainji-dam
Dem come build the dam finish electricity com stop
One year two years twelve years till now no electricity for town"

Even the power now is even too expensive despite not been stable. 5k can't get you 30 units anymire
Sigh, these are the things that matter in the grand scheme of things, but it looks like the government don't give a damn and a lot of Nigerians are very much okay with the system
Politics / Dependency On PMS by isArray: 7:51am On Sep 16
I've always wondered why the government is not prioritising the reasons for Nigerians over dependency on PMS, I think Nigerians mainly depend on PMS due to
- Poor power supply
- Poor public transportation system in cities

With this two fixed, majority of the population don't have to worry about PMS, and this will benefit the common people. Maybe it is not as straightforward as I think it is but other nations where power supply is regular at least only have to bother about getting PMS for their vehicles, that's if they don't have an electric vehicle.

Tinubu should even forgot about contesting for 2027 general election. He will be disgraced.
You think so? We've had his party ruling Lagos since 1999, that man will do anything to cling to power including throwing his comrades under the bus

If we weren't a nation of foolls, how could we trust the resources of over 200 million people to someone with a dubious track record. A man who was too afraid to participate in a presidential debate.
He wasn't afraid to participate in debates he just didn't give a f**k, Sanwoolu did the same, heard Edo State candidate did not participate in debate too

This administration cannot work. If the opposition parties are serious, they should start impeachment proceedings now.
If it's not going to work, the administration also needs to feel it that the people are suffering
Politics / Re: Fuel Price Hike Total Madness, No Sane Person Will Vote Tinubu In 2027 – Sheikh by isArray: 8:08pm On Sep 05
It's insane how political discussions are already about next elections, not even how to get the current administration to work.

Current administration playbook seems to be working fine: they get their followers to attack other political parties, so no matter how the hardship gets the people will fight themselves and forget about the government 😂

Are you not tired of blaming the government, I'm starting to blame the people I can see and influence...

Last time rain fell, I legit saw a whole building with people, men, woman, even caring a baby, the whole house was in on it, emptying a big drum of dirt inside the gutter.

I shouted where I was and asked why would they do such a thing, "water will carry it away was what they told me" can you believe that...

We need a BIG reorientation. .. It's not funny, if you think it's only politicians, it's not.
That's a stupid thing to do, but what are the consequences for their actions? None! And that's because Nigeria does not have a functional system to put them in their place, if such should happen here, I only need to call the police and they'll intervene asap, would you have done the same?

Also, government people apart, Most Nigerians are terrible people, with terrible personalities. I dont know the best way to qualify it. Nigerians will do things that they can't ever try outside Nigeria.

E. G, the woman who tore her husband passport, she waited to leave Europe, landed in 9ja before she tore off her hubby's passport.

Nigerians will eat and throw nylon on the ground right there, Nigerians will sheet inside gutters.

Most Nigerians will go to UK and dare not litter the ground, would hardly wanna sheet in the gutter? Why

Why do we do such to ourselves?? We need to change our selves.
All these things you mentioned are human thing and not specific to Nigerians, you don't want to see how other nationalities behave in their country, but they've law enforced, so if you do anyhow there are repercussions, but who is enforcing law in Nigeria? The blame is on the government please, not citizens
Travel / Re: Japa : Here I Come. Tinubu, No Thanks. by isArray: 8:40pm On Sep 03
Developed countries you never have to worry about getting fuel or whatever, public transportation is efficient, if you want to drive there are affordable electric vehicles. Light is a constant thing, just do your daily job and chill, government is not choking your neck

Is the Bronx or outskirts not better than that box he’s in?

Obviously the average hotel is not that cheap but for someone desperate like him, he could have found something better than that for a few dollars more. Which is literally my point and y’all are just arguing pointlessly. What website is that?
There are many websites. Just choose the one you want to book with.
I use Expedia and booking.com and they don't tally with the prices in the screenshot, anyways where the guy wants to stay is his personal problem. Have a good weekend

Fiction is something outside what REGULARLY obtains, NOT people who'd rather get peanuts than leave a room empty. You gave example of going on vacation - how much you'll expect to pay for a regular hotel room in NYC. If you tell anyone you're budgeting $50 a night, they'll tell you good luck with that!
Below is what REGULARLY obtains
this is the kinda hotel she is gonna get at that amount 🤣

There are dirt cheap hotels that cost that much per day as at now. Much less many years ago. Meaning he could have gotten hotels for that price or less for 24 hours since this supposedly happened years ago.

Na him wan stay New York. In fact even in New York he could have gotten hotels at that price for 24 hours instead of 8 hours and stay the whole day. plus some will serve you breakfast.

Pls shut up abeg.
Hotels in NYC are not that cheap, except you're settling for the Bronx or outskirts, what app/website is this? The first hotel is €153 on booking.com
