Nice one Rosemary33! Most times we don't get to see the gentlemanliness of our officers. Bube is an example of what the military should be. Following steadily

Family / Re: How Many "Yards" Of Wife Material by isod: 2:10pm On Aug 01, 2012
Been following this thread and just wanted to add my 2 cents!!!
Before I got married, I was a young independent lady, had a fairly Ok job and living on her own. My Husband (then Boyfriend)never really complained about my not cooking but I knew he really wanted to eat something homecooked - sometimes. My routine then was close from work, branch at Shoprite, buy already made food, go home. Note: I would buy enough for both of us and anyone who cared to visit.
I remember a time when a lady in his office took it upon herself to start preparing breakfast for him. Hmmnnn.... I knew my hubby loved me but...I was a little bit jealous/ intimidated/scared. I think at some point if you see someone you feel has those xteristics you want in a husband, the rules can be slightly bent. One day, I also prepared breakfast for the guy and he laughed. I didnt care, I wanted him to know that ...me too I can do this. (funny).
Now Im married, I cook, clean, etc.
So in summary, no two relationships flow in the same way. It depends on both parties.

its CWAY, they say, one of the latest models. Unfortunately, its not even on their website. But major CWAY distributors should know it.

Hi, it depends on how much ice you need. I have a water dispenser that makes ice also (CWAY). I think it can handle family and guests.

Congrats Dearie. Well, like advised, just try to patiently allow/encourage the boy to suck. Motherhood is a totally different phase.

PS: Rest when he sleeps and eat well. When people come visiting, use them to the best of your ability. eg if a sister, mother comes, , encourage them to cook for you so you don't bother with all that and you can take care of your baby.
Family / Re: Should I Build A House For My Dad by isod: 7:49am On Sep 05, 2011
If I were in your shoes, I think I would consider my Mum first. Settle her, then my Dad. But as you say - you owe your dad a duty, , If God has put this in your heart to do, I think you need to do it because you may find yourself struggling with your consience for a very long time.
Family / Re: How Long To Continue Night Breastfeeding? by isod: 7:43am On Sep 05, 2011

Yes my baby sleeps with me on the same bed. Efforts at making him sleep in his cot have been very futile especially as I have to go to work the next day. He sha wakes up thrashing hands and legs first, trying to feel me grin
I would try feeding him well before he sleeps and see how it goes.

Cant wait for the guy to start eating eba and the likes!!!
But its been a while I slept through out the night, I practically just move like a robot.

Thanks Ify,

I felt he was being unrealistic. My first baby stopped breastfeeding at 4 months so perhaps this one seems longer. Funny he accused me then of not breastfeeding the baby long enuf.

Family / How Long To Continue Night Breastfeeding? by isod: 7:59am On Sep 01, 2011
Hi Nairalanders,

I have a 5 month+ baby who is used to eating approx, every 3hours. During the night, he wakes up like twice to breastfeed. Now, this is causing some issue in my household as my hubby thinks he is cultivating a bad habit and Im encouraging him too. Im a working mother and I feel the only time he gets his antibodies and nutrients is in the night cos during the day he is on formula.

What do you guys think? (Mothers/ Fathers/ Doctors / Nurses/ )

Hi Kathy,

I posted the previous post in the wrong thread. If you have any advice tho, i am all ears. However, Iv been unable to lose the weight i put on during childbirth. I had a C/S. My stomach still protrudes unlike a lot of other women I see.

Can you prescribe anything. I am kind of embarrassed.

Hi Doctors,

I have an 8month old baby that developed a rash on his arms and legs. The Doctors all say its scabbies and prescribed Benzyl benzoate to rub on his body. This is so harsh even for an adult. I used it and it killed the rashes, however after about 2 weeks, i noticed new rashes. This means that there is still a source.

I have 2 guesses.
1. The new househelp i just got or (2). my parents dog ( can dat be a source).

I have read online bout the use of Dogonyaro, they say it chases mites out of the house.

Please help, i am tired of applying Benzyl Benzoate on my baby.

N/B: We have had all his clothes washed with hot water and izal

He bathes with Tetmosol soap now.
