The answer is simple, the current platforms providing marketplaces for Mechanical Turk workers are wrought with many limitations most of which are due to centralization of such platforms. For example, Amazon Mechanical Turk, perhaps the most popular platform for Mechanical Turk, has a low acceptance rate for new users especially non-American users. That is, chances are that as a Nigerian in Nigeria, your application to work on amazon mechanical turk will be turned down. Most times, the reason for application denial is unknown as such reasons are proprietary to Amazon.

While watching those pictures, it occurs to me that all the people and animals in those pictures are all dead.

Then it also occurs to me that someday in the distant future somebody will also look at some of our old pictures and videos and realize that the people in that picture/video are all dead.
