ololufemi: Now dude, I would put it to you that your claim of their distaste for indiscipline is false and just a mere show of power and superiority. Its trespassing to take the pictures of an individual in his house no doubt. But then, the military is not an individual and the chap didnt go into the barracks to take their pix. The military is a public institute and they just can't be in the background. There is no justification for what those boys did. It was simply barbaric and should be condemned strongly. Someone once said, " a people get the quality of leaders and treatment they deserve" and its wrong orientations like the one you've been programmed to believe that keep giving them the justification to think they can just mett out jungle justice to whoever they think did something wrong. Whatever happened to the judiciary. |

ololufemi: Really good to have a soldier in the haus but one thing I need you to understand here is that this the whole of Nigeria is not your barracks and there is simply no justification for what your collegues did. We are in a democracy and the only supreme document is the constitution and not your military rules which I am by no means as a civilian bound by (else I am within your jurisdiction). One thing you need to understand is this. Because the constitution has allocated some level of power to you guys, doesn't mean you use it any way as the same constitution has broken down the ways of using this power. The only reason those boys beat him up is because they have the title 'military' attached to their names. I will put it to you that anybody's pictures can be taken and photoshopped into whatever form but that doesn't mean everyone would go around assaulting whoever takes his pictures. I could take Prof. Jega's picture now and remake it to portray a wrong message of INEC but then am preetty sure Prof wouldn't step down from the stage and pounce on me if I took his pix while he was announcing results. So please you should be a lot more critical on issues as these before justifying whatever show of power your boys participate in. Cheers. :-) |

Nursecaleb:Now thats really short sighted. They have no reason whatsoever to lay a hand on a civilian most especially during elections. Even if he's a spy, they need not retaliate unless they got something up their sleeve that needs to be hidden. With dere reaction now, am sure they did. |

Hello Everyone helping out here. Thanks a lot for your efforts. The challenge am having is my name is on the schools list but I am having 'no record found' on the website. I have noticed though that instead of 2007, the year used on my matric no was 2008 (on the senate list pasted at school, that is). One other thing which I hope isn't a problem is JAMB never sent me an admission letter though I got in through JAMB and was on the merit list. Kindly help me in whatever way you can please. Thanks. ![]() |
