22 year old Kazakhstan-based Ghanaian striker Patrick Twumasi, has returned home to acquire an expensive mansion in the capital city, Accra.

The attacker, who has been a major hit since signing for Astana where he currently plays and emerged as Astana's player of the month for August after scoring 5 times in as many games during the month, returned to Ghana to enjoy a good break, and moved in with his family into a plush mansion he bought in Accra.

Few days ago, the story of a young couple aged, 18 and 17, who got married in Abia State, surfaced and subsequently went viral..

The wailing of a group of Ghanaian military women, has surfaced on social media and subsequently gone viral..

According to Gossipmail.com, in a recent interview at Burma Camp, some women blamed their singleness on the timidity of some Ghanaian men, saying they (men) lack the courage to propose to them. 


According to them, their statuses as military women mostly strikes fear into men, and that is the reason why they find it difficult to marry.

They believe, is the main reason for their singleness, adding that in terms beauty, they can match any civilian lady in the country

Now, the viral couple are new parents as they welcomed their first child on Friday, September 15 2017.

The couple welcomed a bouncing baby boy at Komarock Modern Hospital in Utawala, Nairobi, barely a year after going viral with their KSh 100 wedding.

Kenya’s top philanthropist Ndungu Nyoro who shared photos of the couple with their new baby on the popular Facebook group, Kilimani Mums and Dads, wrote;
“I met them when we celebrated their 100 shillings Union. A cheerful couple rich in love for one another.

And this evening they have been blessed with a baby boy, delivered at KOMAROCK MODERN HOSPITAL- UTAWALA.

The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has reacted to the much talked about python dance as he urged Nigerians to live in peace with one another for the unity of the country.

He made the appeal against the backdrop of the rising number of civilian deaths linked with the on-going military invasion of the South-east and the resultant reprisal attacks in various parts of the country.

The monarch, in a statement issued in Sokoto yesterday, said that religious and community leaders should be given a chance to wade into the pockets of tension which threaten the continuous survival of the nation.

He said;

“I am calling on all Nigerians to imbibe and embrace the culture and spirit of living in peace, irrespective of tribal, ethnic or regional differences.

“Nigeria would continue to remain one nation with a common goal of purposeful development. The action of some should not be allowed to tear the country apart.

“Bad ones among our people should be called to order by their elders and community leaders.

“I challenge elder statesmen to call the youth to order and educate them on the need for peaceful coexistence in their respective geo-political zones.

“As traditional leaders, we would continue to preach love among the diverse communities in our domains throughout the country.”

The Sultan said Nigeria was brought together by an act of God, despite the different ethnic group, religions and diverse rich and beautiful cultures to form one country. He said God would protect the sovereignty.

He further tasked the federal and state governments as well as security agencies in their collective efforts to bring sustained peace and development to the country.

A yet to be identified man has been burnt to death in Ugbor, in Edo State..

According to reports by ITV Benin, the middle age man was on Wednesday burnt to death in the fire incident in Benin City..

The body of the deceased, who was the burnt occupant of the building, was later removed by policemen of the Ugbor Division..

Some residents declined interview on the cause of the fire while the caretaker of the building, identified as Osayande Ekhosuehi, confirmed the incident.

Electronics and other destroyed household items littered the scene of the incident which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday.

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has extended the three days curfew imposed on Aba the commercial hub of the State to Friday, September 15, 2017.

This was made known in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appolos, the governor expressed displeasure that people were being compelled to raise their hands while passing through security checkpoints.

Ikpeazu advised residents and visitors in the state to co-operate with security agents to ensure continued maintenance of the law and order within the commercial city.

He called on the security agents and all concerned to ensure that such acts and other forms of barbaric treatment be discontinued immediately.

Recall, following security concerns and the possibility that there would be a breakdown of the law and order, the governor had announced the imposition of three days dusk to dawn curfew on Aba from Tuesday, September 12 to Thursday, September 14, 2017.
