Print your Transcript in colored ( that would serve as original), then make two copies ( photocopy)
Then for your enrollment, i think it depends on the University. Ask Nigerians in your school to know what’s obtainable or rather mail your university for clarification...
My school unilag transcript Na wahala but they gave us softcopy which is student transcript which is what I used to apply and got my admission at Münster .

Ok, so if I add my dad as my sponsor submit his statement of account , and the guy in the US funds it, will it be a problem?

Or can I make the guy in the US my sponsor and use his statement of account and he will still fund it?

Pls advise
hallo
I have heard of peeps that used their dad or mom as sponsor and later funded through another not stated in the application, and there was no problem however, according to deutsche-bank Facebook page, one is supposed to fund his blocked account from the acct/accts stated in his or her application.

for the second option as stated, u can use the guy in d States as your sponsor( u need his statement of account not older than 3 months) meanwhile at the embassy on the day of certifying ur signature u will be asked to present a document from your sponsor stating that he is so so and so and will be sponsoring you. but if it where to be ur dad or mom, based on ur surname been same, they just need d statement that shows at least the required funds
cheers

Thanks bro

Pls the account statement am to take with me for the db opening, must it be from same account that I will fund my block account?
I want to use my dad's statement of account, but the person to fund d account is based in the US because of FORM A issues.
I was told that on the last page of the block account form, that I and the person depositing the money have to sign, does this really matter if my dad signs and the guy in the US funds it.

Pls advise..thanks
Hallo,
deutsche-bank is no joke oh.
please the statement of account they expect to see should be that of the sponsor (s) u filled in the application.
if not, thats a REJECTION.
maybe d best bet should be( ur uncle in d us do a transfer
to ur dad's account or rather ur dad's account should hold a sum of about 4.5million naira to enable u open the account successfully. there after, u tink of hw u can fund

Pls house

am confused with the block account thing, I just got my admission letter last week and I haven't opened a block account yet. I heard the block account opening takes up to 3wks or more.
I need your advise, if I book an appointment for the signature certification and when am done with the certification at the embassy, should I book for my visa interview immediately or wait for wks for the account to be opened before booking for visa interview?

Pls advise..
respect
pls as soon as u certify ur signature at the embassy and they tell u that they will send ur application to Deutsche Bank, u will be given a slip. with that slip and other docs apply for interview ASAP. because u don't need to present ur acct details on the d day of ur interview. that same slip would do. cheers

Had my interview 2nd week of Nov. U can buy the prepaid envelope at any DHL or FedEx office around you(it is cheaper, u can also buy it wen u get to the embassy environ on the day of ur interview(mind u it will be damn expensive). While purchasing it, tell them purpose of buying it and they will direct u on other procedures.
Secondly, fill the questionnaire with ur computer, print it and sign with a pen. There is no much protocol abt that questionaire, download d one online (if it is black and white online, print it like that). Mine was black and white and It was not rejected.(am saying this because u will surely meet crazy pple that will scare the hell out of you, telling u it must be coloured). In fact the questionnaire online is black and white, unless it has been changed just recently.
Be at the embassy as early as possible, depending on ur appointment time. Mine was 7.00am and I was there by 5.30am.as at 6.40am they had started attending to us.
All the best.
Thanks Evachi, once again please when u said I can buy the prepaid envelope anywhere, I stay in pH, can I buy it here or can someone purchase it for me in Lagos. please sorry for my many many questions. Danke

KamsarJoseph:

Thank you "iyke24all".

Well , these are what I need to know:

1. Certificate authentication: Apparently, before my degree certificate and WASSC can be forwarded to my school of choice via uni-assist, they have to be authenticated. I have made some enquiries and I have received different answers; it's either a high court, the Ministry of Education or the issuing bodies (in my case, my alma mater and WAEC). So, which of these options should I go for? Which is accepted by uni-assist?

2. Admission requirements: I want to apply to Otto-von-Guericke University, Magdeburg for a Master's degree programme (Engineering). A minimum of 2,3 GPA on the German scale alongside a minimum of 80 on the TOEFL iBT are required. My undergraduate CGPA is 3.19/5.00 and I made a total score of 107 on the TOEFL iBT. Do I have a chance of being admitted into this school? If no, what other German univerisities can I apply to with these grades?

3. Application fees: What is the exact cost of applying via uni-assist? On "http://www.uni-assist.de/regulation-fees.html", 75 euros is mentioned while on "http://languages.uni-assist.de/fees.html", 68 euros is mentioned.

4. Application form: How many application forms should accompany my application via uni-assist? Is the "Application Form for Admission to Studies for Foreign Applicants" one of them?

I really hope I get answers to these.

No worries Bro, we are here to help

1.`When i wanted to apply, i was also told about High Court and federal ministry, but the one i did was that of a Notary Public.( Though it is more expensive compared to the other ones, but maybe if you know someone who knows a Notary Public that would Notarize at a fairer price that would be fine.

2. Well, for your Toefl score, you are on point, also when Uni- assist converts your Nigerian Cgpa you would have a German Cgpa of 2.3575.
There was post i read on this Thread, i think in the first thread that in Germany any figure after the first decimal is inconsequencial ( ie that means, 2.3009, 2.3999 can be taken as 2.3). However, if Uni-Assist after reviewing your documents, and tell your that you dont meet the requirements, you can always mail the school for Consideration.
Bottomline, You have a chance, because OVGU offers non restricted admission, however you can still try other options by using www.daad.de
meanwhile what Engineering are you looking at.

3. For Uni-Assist, you can apply to as many school as you want. for the first school, you would be charged 75 Euros, then on subsequent ones an additional 15 Euros. ( ie for 1 application=75Euros 2 applications = 90Euros, 3 applications 105Euros and so on.)

4. It depends on the School, some schools requires you to fill their application which can be downloaded for the school website and also fill an Online Application on Uni assist portal. you need to find out from the school by mailing probably your dept or student admission section.

Hpoe you find this helpful. Cheers

Good evening nice people,

pls any idea of the current visa fee (€60) in Naira?
I was at Abuja embassy on the Ist of Sept for DB opening. The fee been 20euros and they took 6400 from me, which is #320 to one euro. so, 60euros in Abuja should be about #19200. but I have seen peeps say they took 21500 naira. so u can budget within this range, or better still @sd39 should enlighten us better. Bottom line, it depends on the exchange rate. Danke.

Hello Fam, I opened my DB account or rather sent my application for DB account opening at the ABUJA EMBASSY Today and it was a success.
Documents needed are stated in the new DB Form requirements. Because my sponsor is my Parent and as such share same surname, a letter addressed by the sponsor stating that he or she is my sponsor was not needed. But if your Sponsor no be your PAPA or MAMA, mbok do the needful. The Amount i Paid was 6400 Naira. less i forget, the statement of account was in naira. ( between 3-4 M).
b]NOTE LATEST UPDATE
Due to the unusual high demand the Consulate General can currently only offer a very limited number of appointments for student visa applications. To increase the appointment capacities the German Embassy Abuja will temporarily accept student visa applications upon appointment. Please continue to send your appointment request to student@lago.diplo.de. Your request will be forwarded to Abuja if necessary and you will receive the appointment confirmation directly from there.

Important Notice: The regular processing time for student visas is at least four weeks. So only students with a realistic chance of admission, i.e. with an admission deadline later than four weeks from the appointment date onwards, will receive an appointment. Thank you very much for your kind understanding and cooperation.
