Saudi Arabia will test what it is billing as the world's largest clock in the holy city of Mecca during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
The four-faced clock tower will top a massive skyscraper that when completed will be around 1,970 feet (600 metres) tall, the second tallest in the world after Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
The clock will dwarf London's Big Ben, once the largest four-faced clock in the world, with dials more than five times greater in area.
The around 130 foot (40 metre) diameter Saudi clock dials are also bigger than the current world champion at the Cevahir Mall clock in Istanbul, which has a 36 metre face set in the transparent roof of the shopping complex.

Christ the King ( Polish : Pomnik Chrystusa Króla ) is a statue of Jesus Christ in Świebodzin , Poland , completed on 6 November 2010.

The statue is 33 metres (108 ft) tall, the crown is 3 metres (9.8 ft) tall, and along with its mound, it reaches 52.5 metres (172 ft) overall. It weighs 440 tonnes.


The project was conceived and led by Sylwester Zawadzki, a retired Polish priest. It is the tallest statue ofJesus in the world.

Chinese residents were left terrified after mistaking a pink-skinned stray dog for either an escaped genetically modified pig or a strangely coloured mini-horse.

The bizarre breed of dog was spotted roaming around the streets Xinxiang in the Henan province, central China, sparking fears it has escaped from a nearby medical research centre. With its strange-coloured skin and hairless body,many observers speculated the rare breed could have been some sort of strange mutant pig.

However given its white tufts of hair, unusual stance and wispy tail, the strange canine could even pass for a mini horse. One witness said: 'Thepink skin makes it look just like pig gone wrong in some sort of genetic experiment.'

However police have denied the animal is the subject of a genetic experiment - confirming it is actually a breed known as a Chinese crested hairless dog. 'It is definitely a dog, and quite an expensive one at that,' said a spokesman.

I'm sure at one point all of us have tried to do a Michael Jackson dance... more than once. I remember even wanting that iconic red jacket that he wore in his Thriller music video.


Well, today marks the 30th anniversary since Michael Jackson's Thriller album was released. Thriller - Michael's sixth studio album - was released on November 30, 1982.

Michael was only 24-years-old as he was recording songs from the historic album with histhen producer Quincy Jones. Michael also wrote the first four singles of the album, hits that we still jam to today: "The Girl Is Mine," "Billie Jean," "Beat It" and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'."

This was 1983's best-selling album worldwide and The Making of Michael Jackson's Thriller even won a Grammy in 1985 for 'Best Music Video, Longform.'

Michael's performance of "Billie Jean" was the highlight of the 1983 TV special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever which gave us the debut of Michael's first recorded "Moonwalk" (a dance I still can't manage to do!) as he sang the classic song "Billie Jean."

In 2008, the album was voted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and that same year, a 25th anniversary edition became the second best-selling album in the U.S. for two weeks!

Thriller is a classic album, one of those albums that will never get old and the songs will never be played out.

Michael has forever changed the music business and he is by far the greatest entertainer ever - amusical genius indeed.

There will never be another one like him.

Peru's army has captured something truly awful this animal as you can see in the photograph appears to be a giant bat, an animal is too weird. Apparently this animal usually frighten many people walking through areas of Peru and elsewhere in Latin America, is said to be the Chupa Cabras.


Reports say this animal has been frightening locals near the amazon jungle bordering Peru.

Recent reports state that this animal attacked several people walking through the jungle and elsewhere in Latin America. It is likely a giant golden-crowned Flying Fox, one of the largest species of bats in the world with a wingspan over 5 feet.
