Whatever makes you sleep well at night...if you like post every seconds , it adds no value...it will not remove or add money to my bank account...some of you always sound like your life starts and ends on the internet......more than 10 monikers including me said the same thing concerning bitcoin reaching the bottom since last year and none of them are making noise about it because they believe the predictions is just a normal thing which is one of the major purpose why the thread was created in the first place.. I guess you expect a standing ovation for saying bitcoin have reached bottom?? And so when they told you to rest, it sounded like they ruined your ego...Funny......okay now that they know you once predicted the bottom of bitcoin , whats next ?? They have become billionaires by now I guess...shior...now login back to your majotr moniker and have fun.....

There are many monikers on this thread that consistently drop analysis and make predictions and you do not see them making noise about it because they have no other hidden intentions , they just make their analysis and predictions and go because they just want to add value to the thread.. but when you see someone that wants people to notice his or her predictions by fire by force , then something is up...are you posting the predictions for the purpose of the thread or for a different intention ?? If you are doing it for the thread , why is your ego ruined when there is no appraisal for you ??

Ahhh... yes we are finally making some progress, you didn't mention deflover in this post which tells me after all you might be coachable.

LOL you know you have no point so now you are just rambling and trying to summon others to come to your rescue. Maybe you didn't think I will reply to your silly comment but I'm a bit bored today and maybe I can use this as a teachable moment for you.

I made a prediction that came to pass and I bragged (which is what you called it so yes) about it because last time I checked it is a free world and I can do as I please. If anyone else here made the same predictions and didn't brag about it, that's their business. I don't have to conform to them or to anyone else. It is afterall a crypto currency investors thread, I can make my predictions however I see please and take a victory lap when it comes to fruition without caring what a butt hurt troll thinks about it.

This thread is littered with people posting analysis and then quoting or screenshoting it later on to show that their analysis was spot on. Financial news outlets host guests all the time who make bold predictions and when their price targets are hit, they replay clips of them making those predictions. It's a common thing, so you can whine from now till your fingers bend and it won't change anything. But I will still caution everyone to be wary of you because you remind me of the story of the boy and the wolf, except this time it is the wolf crying wolf.

yeah people like you keep making me to get obsessed with deflover the scammer and make me think you are just like him too , that was his same moderus operandi ...some strange monikers will just pop from no where and start doing self-appraisal , start praising himself or herself unnecessarily or when no one asked for shalaye... before you know they start claiming expert crypto trader and they start getting their victims who fall for their format .. undecided

Rest jare ...you must think everyone is dumb like you...The phrase means exactly what it meant.. we are not fools here. ..it is what it is..

Secondly what is the essence of telling us if you once called the bottom last year or if some other people once called the bottom last year ?? What exactly is the relevance of that particular post you made some hours ago?? And what is the benefit of the post ?? What value does it add to the thread??

And concerning the bolded , every tom and dick is aware that we are presently in a bull run for the bitcoin market and yeah everyone is right in a bull market...rest in Jesus name

Your incessant summoning of a known scammer on this thread actually makes you look suspicious.
You are trying so hard to act like you are protecting anyone from being scammed but you are only being a nuisance seeking validation. I've seen your type before, always labeling people as scammers to appear legit and gain people's trust right before scamming them.

In my post from last year, I also said others should start buying at that price and if they did, they would've 2X their investment by now. That's the relevance of the post. And seeing that it bothers you so much, I will make more predictions in the future when I see fit and when those predictions come to pass, I will bring it up again so you can have a heart attack or you can use it to form legit.

Several people on this thread called the bottom last year and that made a particular moniker "deflover" to keep arguing with them and the moniker kept claiming that bitcoin will touch 14k before the bull run will start.. so rest and leave the past undecided

Bro you seem to be obsessed with deflover, it seems you cannot make a post here without bringing up his name. Just think it's strange how you somehow brought up his name in response to my post that has nothing to do with him.

Nothing concerns me with anyone else's prediction, but I remember folks on this thread panicking and forecasting even more downside. All the news outlets were releasing one bad news after another to cause more selloff; that was all I needed to know, it's time to buy. Buying when others have panic sold in the midst of FUD and doomsday predictions have always served me well in different asset class. So when I ask the rhetoric question "who called the bottom?" I'm not saying I'm the only one who called it. That phrase is actually a popular expression e.g "who said Tinibu will win? This guy." Or "Who said Argentina will win the world cup? This guy" Do you get it now? It's doesn't indicate that I'm the only one who could've made that prediction. Maybe u should take your advice and rest, but buy bitcoin, we are heading up.

Family / Re: Leaving My Wife And Kids To Travel Abroad by JamParkMe: 3:12pm On Nov 10, 2023
Traveling overases with just a tourist visa is like voluntarily hopping into a slave ship during the times of slavery. If you were a young and single guy, I can understand the risk vs reward but as a married guy with children, I don't think it's very wise.

You will basically have to start afresh, working menial jobs for less than minimum wage because anyone hiring an illegal immigrant will exploit them as they have no legs to stand on and are desperate for work. Your best hope of eventually getting papers would be to do a fake marriage with a citizen but that comes with very high costs, abuse from the citizen and risk of the immigration services denying such marriage after all the money and years spent.

How about your wife and kids? How is your wife supposed to get intimacy when you are gone for years? Don't you realize, intimacy like food and shelter is a basic human need? You will likely be cheating on your wife but woe betide your wife if she sleeps around. How about your kids, who will be the father figure they need at such tender age? Most of these cultists and armed robbers you see today had no responsible fathers in their lives.

I will say you should sit down and think outside the box for ways to improve your business or for new business ideas. Don't let the pressure of japa syndrome make you make a move you will ultimately regret. I too have felt the urge to abandon it all and relocate overseas, but the risk vs reward doesn't make any sense and there are no guarantees in life.

Yes. This road is in the Orlu part of Imo state. We've had sidewalks and road drains for years. They just patched up this part of the sidewalk last week. So yes it's rare but they do exist.

If an offer is not worth accepting then hold unto your name because i like your spirit. Besides if you price cheap you never get high sales. But if you price high, you either get a high sale, or a no Thankyou. So keep up with what you want.

Thanks a lot, that makes me feel better.

Nobody can give an accurate advise on how much you should sell a domain they don't know. You didn't even give enough information like the keyword, potential use case by industries, desirability, etc. Only you knows the domain name which means only you can valuate it. Every other advise given here is just from a sales point of view.

However, the mail from Afternic's sales rep shows clearly that the domain in question isn't anywhere worth your asking price of $8k. In his word (let's assume the agent is male), "the client started with a much lower offer but was eventually jacked up to 1k after extensive domain education on similar sales in the current market." If the domain were that valuable, I think the agent would have advised the client that 1k is a low offer.

From your response, it looks like you would have happily sold it if you can net above $1k after commission but you decided to shoot for the moon by countering $7k. In my opinion, it doesn't look like a very good decision that can help close the sale.

If you are starting out in domaining, getting sales, irrespective of the amount, will greatly help to boost your confidence. You don't sit on a domain and say you know it's worth much more than you are being offered. You can upgrade your portfolio when there is cashflow.

Very good points. This particular domain is worth much more. It is in an industry that's blowing up exponentially. It is a 2 word, 7 letter domain that ends in "jobs". I can confidently sit this one out because there's a high demand for it. But, I get your point.

like you've been advised quickly accept the offer and moved on, cos 50/50 you might and might not be able to sell the name for the price again

Wishing you your first sale with the name!!!!

Too late bro, I countered with $7k. Similar domains sold between $7k and $22k. But If they counter with something higher than $1k I might accept it. If they don't reply back, I will keep it because I know this particular domain is worth much more.

Well, since it is your first sale, I will advise that you take the offer. I am assuming the domain name is also grossly overpriced.

Simply reply with:

Hello,
Kindly proceed with the sale for $1000. I will also adjust the nameserver to reflect afternic's nameserver. Thanks.

Adjust the nameserver to get your 850. Congrats in advance.

Thanks for the advice.

after commission, you'll get $800.
You should reply the email you received with the amount you wish to sell it!

Is there any template or important thing to include? It will be my first sale. In the email, the broker said if I change the server I will get $850 instead of $750.

Guys please help me. I listed a domain on afternic some time ago and today I received an email from one of their domain broker that someone is interested in the domain. My buy it now price on aftenic is over $8k with a $500 reserve. The interested buyer made an offer for $1000 and after commission, I will get $850.

How do I counter? I think this is a low offer.

If only people know how bad things could get, they will appreciate deflover's warnings. His trades may be wrong but unless someone is hiding under a rock, the current macroeconomic situation does not bode well for anything investment- gold, commodities, stocks, crypto.
Mind you, HODLERS of stocks or crypto will always say that everything bounces back to its highs if the product is good but that is not always true. Japan's Nikkei 225, which measures strength of biggest companies in Japan has not returned to its highest point since the crash of 1989. How many years have passed since then? Can you say that Japan is not a big economy?
Let's see how things play out - just switch hope indicator on and pray that we don't see a depression as bad as 1929 or 2000.

I just need more retail investors like you and main stream media to start forecasting a 1929 Great Depression or 2000 tech bubble burst before I decide to go all in crypto and stocks. When the market makers, insiders, hedge funds etc start forecasting the worst, that is literally the best time to buy because they are causing investors to panic sell while they are buying at dirt cheap prices.

The market is highly manipulated. When a majority of retail investors are expecting one outcome, the opposite occurs. It's like a casino, the house always wins because they have the capital to move the market however they please, retail is nothing but a drop in the bucket. Classic example was the V-shapped recovery we witnessed in 2020 after the the coronavirus became a pandemic and lockdowns were announced all over the world. Did anyone expect the market to recover so quickly? People panicked and sold stocks, only to see them quickly recover.

Funny how you gave the example of the Japanese NIKKEI never reclaiming its high from 1989, but the majority of markets In developed countries have far exceeded the 1929 Great depression or the 2000 tech bubble burst.

So please continue with the fear mongering as it helps me decide when to actually put cash to work. I'm waiting for more doom and gloom from social media and the news media before going all in, for now I'm slowly adding to long term positions.

GeneralOjukwu:

Don't be shameless.

Why blame the OP for your kinsmen committing 99% of the crimes Nigerians do abroad?

You are not even ashamed to still deny the fact that Yorubas undoubtedly lead in intellectual achievements inside and outside Nigeria.

There's a reason why your people all run from their homelands. There's a reason why the best amongst them must have lived in South West.

Stop complaining about the OPs honesty and worry more about how Igbo language is fast becoming the lingua franca in most jails in Asia.

You are obviously a troll hiding behind a moniker on nairaland. You will never spew such silly sentiments on a platform with your real picture and name so for that reason I wouldn't take you seriously. However, you are a confirmed idiot if you somehow believe Yorubas don't commit as much crimes as igbos or Igbos aren't high achievers abroad. It will be silly to sit here and list the multitude of crimes committed by yorubas today alone nor would it benefit anyone if I were to list accomplishments by igbos as that will not only be childish, I wouldn't be able to complete the task in a finite time.

Silly trolls like you and many others on this platform will always exist just like they do on other Internet platforms. But it's rather appalling that mods are also in on this divisive tactics. They are supposed to set the standard here. While they cannot completely rid this place of tribalists, they shouldn't encourage it either. Pushing threads from people who's main objective is to slander a whole tribe, doesn't help anyone.

Philipponzaghi:

If you check my post timeline, you’ll see I’ve desist from posting lot of drug arrest by Nigerians abroad daily because people like you paint me a tribalist for doing so.

I’m an independent reporter of drug crimes, they are majorly done in Asia and unfortunately almost 99% of the drug traffickers caught are from one single tribe.

I backpedaled a bit from reporting it because trust me, the Indians are arresting Nigerians almost everyday for drug crimes and if I keep reporting it daily it will be too hard for the tribe majorly doing this to swallow.

For calling me a tribalist, I am now volunteering to make sure I report the arrest of drug traffickers daily as they happen and not try to be lenient. So that the tribalist tag can eventually stick.

Just watch for my threads from now on!

You are a shameless tribalist. Anyone with just one 1 brain cell can quickly notice the pattern of your threads. You post crimes committed by igbos and then post topics highlighting yoruba accomplishments. I could care less what you post as there will always be shameless tribalists like you hiding behind the anonymity of the Internet to slander a whole tribe. Where I have issue is with the moderators who are supposed to maintain a certain standard on this platform pushing such divisive threads to the front page. When you know a person only posts crimes by a certain tribe while praising another tribe, you need to question their motive before pushing their threads to the front page.
I really wonder if seun approves of this.

This Op (Philipponzaghi) is a confirmed tribalist and it's quite appalling ng that Nairaland pushes these divisive news to front page just to get more eyeballs and engagement. If you scan through this OP's topics, he only reports crimes committed by Igbos and 99% of those threads make it to front page. While on the other hand, he reports achievements by yorubas ex:

"Victory Yinka Banjo gets 19 scholarships worth $5 from US and canada"

"David Odekunle Accepted into 7 Ivy League Colleges"

"Foluke Oyedeji-Laosebikan promoted to Queens Council in Canada"

But all the news pertaining Igbos are all crime related and they are immediately pushed to the front page. It's quite unfortunate that this platform all Nigerians see as a safe space to air opinions and get unbiased news has been turned into one that promotes and invokes tribalism.

Is it just me, or does it seem like today's dip is the usual 'buy the rumour, sell the news' pattern we've been witnesing all year round? Remember Elon Musk's highly anticipated appearance on SNL, remember Ethreuem's hard fork last month and now Elsavador finally making bitcoin legal tender. The said crypto sold off when the event took place. So I'm guessing this may be a temporary dip, but what do I know, I'm just a guy who drives taxi for a living.

Me and my household will not take any covid vaccine even if we are forced at gun point.
