Hello All,

Can anyone please recommend a very good Mazda mechanic in Lagos? My Mazda CX-7 2008 model is having some mechanical issues.

Thank you.

I'm new on this thread and find it interesting. Thanks for all the info shared. Based on what I've read, looks like it's common to have more than one MMF manager.

Stanbic looks like my option 2. Anyone has an idea of their USD MMF? Please advise process to subscribe, rates, and experience.

BTW, I find it strange that you send proof of subscription to account officers or customer service team. I use Investment One and I've never had to notify them of subscription. I simply include my I.D in my transfers and I get email notifications of all details, reflecting in my account at the same time, usually same day or next.

Scanned copies of:
International passport
Passport photo
IELTS TRF/PTE-A
Degree Certificate (s)
Transcripts
Reference letter from employer
Tax certificate
Pension summary
Pay slips (not compulsory if u have tax cert)
CV

I hope I captured the main docs, if not all.

MurphyG1:
Hello house,

Please help.

I have been reading the Engineers Australia MSA booklet (on their website) on how to get assessed but I'm getting confused now.

1) I have B.Eng Electrical Eng from Nigeria and MSc Electronic and Electrical Eng from UK. Which do I apply for assessment? The highest qualification which is the MSc or both? Will my schools need to send my transcript directly to EA?

2) If I have to do assessment for B.Eng, which pathway do I apply through? I know that of Msc is Washington Accord.

3. Will my CV and reference letters from previous employers suffice for the work experience?

Please I need a brief summary of documents to provide to get assessed.

Thanks all.

Yes. Just make sure it is very clear (300 dpi if u can). They may ask u to send through your school to them if they smell anything.

flyca:
Please I have a problem with the transcript part.
Engineers Australia request that transcript be uplaoded along with other documents when applying. My problem is that my university can only offer a jard copy delivery.

Please is it okay to request the hard copy of my transcript, then scan and upload to Engineers Australia. Is this acceptable? Is scaned transcript acceptable?

I was asked for the same tax clearance card. I simply sent to them e-mail exchanged with my HR stating that even the crude tax certificate was not ready company-wide.
But I attached pay slips and bank statement showing tax deductions for 14 months.

University report was also requested for my 3rd CE, which I sent to them.

Thanks @ jayooh, Michaelamo, tomimy1, catchdwind4rmkd.

I honestly don't see the stunt in this. These are statements of fact:

- Nigerian Youth corpers don't pay tax and make pension remittance. Even though I wasn't keen on this 1 year experience.

- My state does not issue Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate Card (only Lagos state issues this card in Nigeria and I stand to be corrected on this). I provided my tax clearance certificate and pension remittance statements for the assessment period.

Should DIBP request for "Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate card", I will still give them the same explanation (I can't provide what is not available).

This post was mainly to help others still awaiting their assessment outcome. Whenever they get requests for documents that are not applicable to them, all they need to do is to inform the assessor that such document is not applicable to them and also state why it is not. However, they need to do research and be sure it's not applicable to them.

House,

Having gathered adequate information from this thread which I used for my EA assessment, I just got a positive outcome from EA (after 36 working days) as a Mechanical Engineer. I assessed experience as well.

Many thanks for your support. Next is EOI submission.

I want to submit my EOI but considering 190 as I will have a total 70 points with state nomination.
Can anyone guide me through the documentations for NT, sample docs that address the following:
1. Evidence of detailed research into living and working in the NT
2. Copies of documents evidencing the main applicant’s employability in the NT
3. A statement documenting the main applicant’s commitment to the NT.
4. If anyone's willing, someone I can call a friend in NT (I heard this helps one's application) - not a must though.

Thanks Veterans.

@Michaelamo.

Thanks for this update.

I guess I have to focus on PTE for additional 10 pts.

For POF, I meant Victoria.

Can anyone please help clarify if shares, Pension and properties are acceptable as POF, and a sure way to submit EOI without other states knowing?

Michaelamo:

1) with 65 points, your chances for 189 are very slim right now. 70 points are waiting for the past 4 months. With 70 for 190, it's still slimmer for NSW, go check and see that they have not nominated anybody in that occupation since February abi March last year. However, you can aim for 20 on English and breeze pass all these, with that 189 will come in a week.

2) If you are talking about NSW, there is nothing like proof of funds for their 190. I think Victoria has, but some said it's only a mention abi declaration.

3) Then create separate EOI, I'm nor sure if they will still see it or not. But the truth is, if your occupation is in demand in the state, they will nominate you irrespective of your interest in other states.

Veterans in the house, I hail you all.

I am a Mechanical Engineer with 65 points (10 pts from English + age + work experience). I am considering 190 with NSW and Victoria (as I want to submit EOI before the new year) but the POF no be here o.

I need your guidance please.

1. What are my chances of 189 and 190? Although I plan to get max points from English.

2. Can I use Pension, sharrs and properties as POF? If yes, how?

3. How do I nominate a state without being visible to the states (I wish to select multiple states without being seen)

Thanks in advance.
