shege45:You are right putting it in your account is a no go area because need will arise and you will spend it, but like I said earlier you can set a target for yourself let say you want to open a barbing saloon for someone to be giving you a certain amount every month you can start with the estimate of what you need then you will be buying it gradually till you finish buying the materials needed for the business doing so will keep the money out of your account or you can do a feasibility studies and see what is cheap now in your environment which might shoot up in price in two to three months, you can buy an store them then you resell later, mind you buy items that cannot spoil easily. the above epistle is just an analysis you know what you want just set a target and savings become easy. |

shege45: If transportation is not the one draining your money then you need to work on your savings, set a saving target for yourself and have a purpose for saving, let say you want to buy a bag of soyabean at the rate of 25,000 naira and resell later all you have to do is deprive yourself of somethings, you can buy half bag this month then half bag next month, because it's hard at times to save money in one's account without spending but buying and reselling of most agricultural products has been helping me save my money. |
Education / Breaking:ASUU Strike: Lecturers Reach Agreement With Nigerian Government by jay7(m): 7:38am On Sep 08, 2017 |
BREAKING:ASUU Strike: Lecturers reach agreement with Nigerian govt ASUU Strike: Lecturers meet Nigerian govt delegation The striking university lecturers, ASUU, have agreed to consider the federal government’s offer and suspend their strike. The agreement comes after 12 hours, 30 minutes of a closed door meeting between ASUU and a government delegation in Abuja. The leadership of ASUU, however, said though it accepted the proposal presented by the government, it will take the proposal to its members and get back to the government in a week. Biodun Ogunyemi, the national president of ASUU, told journalists after the meeting that the union will come back after one week to take its final decisions. “Now we have some concrete proposal that we will take back to our members for consideration,” he said. On his part, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, said ASUU’s demands have been addressed and the union will get back to the government in a week after consulting with its principals. The meeting started 1:38pm on Thursday and ended 2:15 a.m. on Friday. Details later… Source: Premiumtimesng CC: Richiez, olawalebabs, Fynestboi

mightyhazell: You don't buy tire every month and moreover one has to cut his/her cloth according to the available material, a man using Golf 3 with A.C in good condition and a man using Camry Muzzle with A.C in good condition will spend differently on maintenance, what i have promise myself is that I will not buy things I don't need now just because my friends are buying it because what works for Taiwo might not Work for Kenny. And there is a saying that if you buy what you don't need now you will sell it to buy what you need later. 2 Likes |

ideologies: Waoh nice post "investment can be as little as 10,000" many people want to start with thousands before investing into something, I started mine back then with less than 50,000 and today it's feltching me more than the startup capital, just dedicate your time to what you believe in, pray and be good to people around you especially your workers, before i round up my post i know of a pop corn seller here on campus who buy and resell and he is making a living from it, start somewhere, save the little you earn to start your dream business. 1 Like |

Sard: Your response is short and catchy there are things you don't pretend to be when your income is still struggling, like the subscription he mentioned why pay 10,000 on subscription when we have dstv 1800 subscription a month which have basic channels, feeding is something you eat when you are hungry if not for the hike in foodstuffs a family of 3 cannot eat/finsh a half bag of rice in 2 months and half bag is around 8500 to 9500. all am saying is one should not try to play i gats to belong when you are still struggling to grow, I am not from a wealthy home neither am i from a poor background but i have friends who are struggling with life serving along side with them really thought me so many things about life. |

ndividual: At times I wonder how people reason, must everyone in life be rich as Dangote or Otedola before they can claim to be ok, I read from your post that house rent = 800,000 is it a must he rent an apartment as high as that? I have a friend staying at Maraba/Yanya Abuja and he is not paying upto 130,000 for his 2 bedroom apartment and moreover most people that work in Abuja stay/reside in the said area. What matters in life is planning and contentment, we can not all go to private schools and Infact there are still private schools that pay less than 50,000 per term and remember we have 3 term in a year which the Op one month salary can handle and if he is staying in a house not more than 150,000 per year he is left with 10 months salary plus his side business to plan, eat, save and do other things. 8 Likes |

iamrealdeji: From your write-up you said something about preparation, I will like to say something about that, there is a popular saying that failure to plan is planning to fail, if you want to succeed make a plan and be deligent with what you are doing, work with the right people and you will be surprise at how fast you will be successful, know matter how local your environment is there are people who are making it real big legally there, why not study them and take a clue from what they are doing, like I always say been a graduate is not a guarantee that one will be successful because we overate certificate in this part of the world 80% of graduates want to work in a multi-national company forgetting that the said company started from the scratch by someone and again we graduates claim too big to do some menier jobs which gives high return because the said job will not make you look clean, take a look at the Northern part of the country life is a bit cheaper there compared to the other parts especially agricultural produce, there was a time a bag of onions is 2,500 naira where as the same bag sells for as high as 6000 to 10000 in Lagos and some other part of the country and the cost of transporting it to anywhere is not more than 1000 to 2000 naira, let's say you are making 1000 naira on a bag and you are able to sell 25 bags in a month as an wholesaler that is 25000 add that to your monthly income and you will see the difference, I am saying this not because I am better or because I am wise but most people will stop huzzling after marriage trying to measure up or compete with an already established man, my own take on the issue is marriage will not make you rich or poor what will make you rich or poor is your mentality and the ability to see opportunity wherever you find yourself but most importantly have a projected plan and a source of income before going into marriage. |
