Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Many Interviews Will Uba Carry Out Before Employment by jaylo2(f): 4:39pm On Sep 20, 2006
Hello fosa,

well i just completed my Training in UBA and work starts on 25 Sept by God's grace.

The target is to recruit about 1000 graduates nationwide since new buisness offices(branches) are to be opened.

Fact: Screening is done until the end of the training period and people are dropped. this means more open spaces and thats why training is in batches until the req number is gotten.

Fact:Tribe has nothing to do with it. Pray 4 God's favour,it worked for me.I pray u are called soon.

Best wishes

ESTYLD,
thanks for the encouragement, sometimes not getting what u desire (job) at your own timing can be quite disturbing. So thank God for people like u who offer words of encouragement just when all hope seems to be lost. smiley

KITAUN,
've read several of your post and u seem to have a way with words. Imagine this scenario;

I am worried about not receiving any invitations for interviews,then frustration sets in,then am angry at no one in particular, just then i read a post from you and am laughing my lungs out. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
Thanks for being you but please lighten up on estyld.

Hi All,
I wrote their test sometime in May, needless to say that i wasnt called back cos i didnt pass cry, but the deal is that i had to give my cv to a staff who works there and he specifically asked if i attended a federal university and obtained a 2.1. But all the same i'll advise holders of state university degress and HND to apply all the same cos you never know! Afterall na naija we dey, besides God may decide to give you a surprise! Hello Donbassey,
Congrats on passing the test. cheesy.The next interview stage is in 2 phases. 1st u will be given a topic to discuss in 1minute.At this point the interviewer watches out for your strengths and weaknesses such as composure,confidence,clarity of expression,vocabulary,dressing , ,If u make it through this stage u'll be given a 10minute objective test on customer service.( Note that u should pass this test even though the interviewers give the impression that its a no pass or fail test). By God's grace you'll later receive an invitation for a chat. Here u'll face a screening panel where ur certificates are checked and ur probed on your field of study.
After this, u're in the stage am in and believing God for a miracle.Best wishes smiley

Poems For Review / Re: Keeping Your Hope Alive (Inspirational Message) by jaylo2(f): 5:29pm On Jun 15, 2006
Inspiring indeed! . With an unceremonious end of a 5yr relationship to a cheating partner , a seemingly endless job search despite having a 2.1 and a dwindling financial standing, i must confess that i was about giving up. Thank you and G.B.U
