Politics / 2015, Sina Kawonise For Governor Of Ogun State. by jboi06: 8:21pm On Nov 29, 2013

LEADERSHIP AS CONSTANT.

When SIA got elected in 2011, his pre-determined priority was to latch onto the juggler of his predecessor. He left no stone unturned as this misplaced policy of fishing-out where the dead bodies were buried wore a toga of urgency. So whilst we elected him to improve society, he quickly anchored a different agenda. A lot of mis-information & mis-representations were fed into the public domain. The issue of Ogun State debt portfolio took-on a frightening tone with the administration giving different figures to different audiences at different times.

In the midst of this confusion, a lone voice felt it was morally wrong to deliberately mis-inform the electorate on serious issues of governance with regards to the preceeding government. Not minding security risks to himself, his family & close associates; SK stepped forward to correct the erroneous impressions SIA administration was dishing out by reeling out facts & figures. When officials realized SK's logical explanations made sense; their attacks on the departed OGD regime was considerably scaled down.

It's often said that leaders are born not made. Leadership traits manifest themselves naturally no matter where you are & at all times as nobody prompts the leader-in-you & no-one cajoles you into usurping a leadership position. That is why all reluctant Nigerian leaders had been unmitigated disasters. In times of crisis, at times of uncertainty, when the ship of state is veering dangerously out-of-control: We all look towards a leader to synchronize events - salvage what we can, build where the foundation is secure, identify clear areas where we need to begin-again, sift the wheat from the chaff, make that clarion-call & we all fall in-line.

In Ogun State today, SIA has made a total mockery of leadership: He is in-charge but not in-control, sleepy at the wheels & snoring on the seat. The legitimate mandate handed to him is interpreted as licence to roam around in unco-ordinated circles aimlessly, licence to demolish our homes without compensation, licence to take-away our peoples sources of livelihoods, licence to run a lame-duck government always putting the cart before the horse on an after-thought strategy & licence to grow thick-skin to aspirations of the electorate. That lone voice that has constantly pilloried & consistently criticized this SIA administration is SK.

A true leader does not arbitrarily choose when to perform and when not to. The switch-on, switch-off mode is not in the dna. SK is the only candidate in this race whose leadership traits have been as constant as the Northern Star. A Labour government anchored by SK is thus best placed to replace SIA as all areas he is currently finding very hard nuts to crack, would translate into areas to flourish & transform the Gateway State. Remember, for Labour to make a ground-breaking performance in government at the first asking; we need experience, we need an achiever, we need a performer, we need talent, we need imagination, we need ideas that work, we need loyalty, Labour needs SK. Invest wisely, invest in SK dot com. SK is OK
