Hello guys, any idea on genuity of Masuma parts being sold in Nigeria?

I have changed my brake discs to tokunbo and then to a brand new one but I'm still getting steering judder when braking on highway speeds (100-140KMh).

I'm thinking on buying an 'oem' or at least legitimate quality as I've changed almost everything (discs, pads, calipers, tierod ends, ball joints, control arm and stabilizer bar bushings, wheel bearings, shaft, tokunbo tires, shock absorbers, even rotated tires) on my front end except the hub itself but I keep, getting the ridiculous vibrations when I dare brake.

Or is there anything I should be looking at? What's the possibility of a tokunbo and brand new brake discs being out of round?
What car is that?
Your complain shouldn't be difficult to diagnose and fix

Good evening great minds,
Pls I drive a 2005 lexus es330, I recently changed the water pump and since then I observed that
1.There is a water flowing sound (like water running through holes from the dashboard) that the car makes whenever I start the car, very strange sounds o.
2. Each time I brake at a bump or speed breaker, it sluggishly picks up and jacks as well before driving smoothly.
Kindly advise me on what to do pls.

Good evening house,

Please my steering is always very hard to turn when I am stationary while pressing break, until I lift my foot from the break or throttle a little before if functions normally again. It makes it really difficult to come turn or come out of very small space.

Please advise

Thanks
Check power steering pressure hose or pump connection and ensure the socket is well fitted in.
Your ECU is not getting command to increase idle when you turn the steering.

Hey there, folks in the Car Talk Chat Room! I've been tinkering under the hood of my old clunker lately, and I could sure use some advice. It's making this weird clunking sound when I hit the gas, and it's got me scratching my head. Any of you experienced gearheads have a suggestion on what might be causing this ruckus? I'd appreciate any insights you can throw my way! Thanks a million. 🚗💨

Engine and transmission mount should be inspected.
Also check you inner CV axle to know if it's okay then replace

Good evening professionals in the house.
Please i need your help and i would try to make it as short as possible.
My car has been having a series of issues after i got into a pothole that broke 1 of the front hub of the front tyre. The hub was resting on the fan belt when it broke but i changed that though when i took it to the mechanic to repair because i was perceiving the smell of burnt tyre, but ever since then, my front shraft hasn't been the same again. Each time i turn the steering wheel it makes a lost of cracking noise now on both legs mostly when I'm on lets say 25 to 40kmp but above i hardly hear it. When i try to reverse or do cornering, even dangote truck steering wheel isn't as hard to steer as mine. 1 thing i noticed is that, steering wheel is soft in the morning when car is cool but cracking noise is still there and it gets hard when engine is hot. Changed shraft already on Wednesday, had the mechanic review it again on Friday because it still keeps making the same noise. Please what should i do, thinking of carrying it back tomorrow to check if it something else that's 60k drown the drain already and also, i changed the steering oil and put a new 1 on Friday but still same stiffness, i feel something else is wrong. My ogas abeg come to my aid.
2007 sienna and location is lagos.
Any impact that broke your hub would most likely affect other suspension components.
Check all your suspension components (lower arm, spring, shock, ball joint, thyroid, tyre, rim) if bent, bad, or out of alignment and fix.
Also check to see if the impact affected your beam.
For worst case scenario, you might need to also inspect your differential in your transmission.
For the stiff steering, your pump, rack or both needs to be replaced with new ones

I filled my car from one popular Filling station in Abuja, I didn't drove for 6 minutes before my car stopped. I called my mechanic, he said it's fuel pump related issue. I was surprised cos how can a fuel pump just developed issue like that.

He said I should just come. So, I managed and drove to his workshop, he said let him first check to see if there's no water in the fuel that I bought.

Brethren, to my surprised, water contains some reasonable part of the fuel. I was so angry, he said I shouldn't worry that it mostly happens during the rainy season.

That he will separate the water from fuel. He did exactly that, and my car isn't stopping on the road again.

But the challenge currently is, i need to start my car like twice before it ON. And sometimes, the way it sound is as if my car plugs is dead.

Buy complete fuel pump assembly and experience peace of mind.
Your pressure regulator is likely gone

Hello house
Please I wanted to ask why AC fault is so common in Honda Civic 06-09. I’m trying to get one but I’ve noticed most of them have AC issue. Also, what are the general things to look out for when buying a Nigerian used Honda civic? I’m planning to take a mechanic with scanner though(I’m a car novice)
You've probably been checking ones with faulty AC's.
There are lots of things to check apart from just pulling scan codes when going for inspection.

Good evening everyone, I bought TotalEnergies 5w30 oil to service my Honda Civic LX 2001. I hope I am safe?
I also read somewhere here that I can use this same 5w30 for my power steering. I have sorted for the Honda PSF here in Ibadan but couldn't get. Pls can I go ahead?

Note: I need Honda Genuine ATF DW-1. Please someone should hook me up with a sure link for the original. Thank you.
The only time you're allowed to use thicker oil in a PS pump is if the pump is dead and can't pump thinner oil. The thicker viscosity will help improve the PS operation fair enough till it takes you to the workshop.
Just know you will have to change your rack when replacing the pump.

They've checked the timing , in fact the car sound is okay, the only issues is the accelerating part, if you don't hard press the accelerating pedal, you won't have issues, but the moment you hit hard the accelerating pedal, it will stop responding
That's because your car is running rich and flooding the combustion chamber with petrol.
Remote diagnosis would be difficult. If in Lagos, kindly call 07089030689 for further diagnosis.

My Kia Optima Turbo GDI has recently developed a knocking sound. I took it to a mechanic for inspection, and it was confirmed that the filter leading to the cylinder was blocked. Consequently, I had the cylinder and camshaft replaced. However, since then, my car has not been functioning properly. It can't accelerate beyond 40, and I have to turn off the car and restart it to get it moving again. Additionally, if I go beyond 30, the car stops. The car has been scanned, and the turbo has been checked. I was told the turbo is okay, but the car still won't accelerate beyond that limit. This issue has persisted for the past week.
Your mechanic needs to check the timing again and be sure it's correct.
You also have a turbo charger boost circuit code, so you might need to check the electrical side of your turbo charger.
I believe when you get those 2 right, it will resolve your rich mixture code.
You're technician will need more than just scan codes here. He needs to know what parameter triggers those codes from the freeze frame and work more with live data stream for direction.

There are ways to bench test oxygen sensors before installation. If you've been testing with bad or incompatible sensors, you don't expect the code to go.

How did your friend find for leaks? - Spraying Carb cleaner on the hoses and he used a smoker too, we also did physical inspection. we DIY ourself.

How did you check the sensors before replacing them? - You know how difficult it is to get an O2 sensor that fits,so we were just trying all the sensors he had, since he is the only person that has the sensor in that APO mechanic. i am beginning to think that is the issue sef.
About benchtesting it, I saw some resources online on how to test it with a multi-meter.

Are you in Abuja??

I haven't starter throwing parts yet. What we did was try other sensors, and he thought the ECU needed a reflash. My friend and Mechanic has serviced the engine , check for leaks etc.. And the same issue persists.
The code you have is an oxygen sensor code, I don't understand where the need to “flash the ECU" comes from.

Hi guys,
I checked my car wheels this morning and I noticed there was a lot of oil deposit on the metals and joints by the front right tyre which was the opposite of the left front tyre as that was quite dry.

Also I hear clanking noises from the front wheel when I drive on rough roads and gallops .

All sensors tested are Denso plus my sensor that has been working is also throwing this code. I want my mechanic to service the fuel nozzles and look thoroughly for any air leaks on the engine intake.
You're throwing parts at the car and running in circles sir/ma.
You mind explaining how your technician runs those tests?
I'd suggest you try someone else.
