Hi, Everybody, I am a chinese left Naija 3 years ago and really miss the days in the country...and today, just feel I miss the taste of Suya. I don't know whether I can collect enough "native" seasonings in china, but have to try for my stomach. Can any body tell me the very DETAILED steps of cooking Suya...better with 3 bottles of STARS... grin thank you

agonbello: .

I will advice you build your own brand, your own online store, market it well and maintain a good reputation.

At first people did not trust konga.com and jumia.com, but now many people do.

Even alibaba.com and aliexpress.com was never trusted initially, but we now have many people patronising the sites.

Something like www.guo.ng will be a great idea.

It will cost you money to start-up, but the benefits will come in thousand folds later.

Thank you for your advice, Agonbello, my excuse is setting brand is a long way to go, I even had researched wordpress, zencart etc website builder tools and brand registration, but my plan is firstly make my b2c sites have a good sales and accumulate enough private credits and reputations, then lead my customers to my owned sites, you know, the commission on Amazon and Ebay is not a small percentage. For business in nigeria the same thing, I want to firstly use Jumia and Konga and then.....

Gladmama: JeffGuo, all I can say to you is to be careful, you are putting interesting ammunition on for discussion, telling pple how much you have to invest, I can see how pple are jumping up and down to answer you, anyway you are used to Nigerians by the sound of it. Just be careful.
Thank you, madam, I will pay attention to that...eshe

agonbello: Never used it. Works like amazon. Visit www.shopify.com its simple and self explanatory
but it looks too much simple than Amazon, (I am a pro seller in Amazon.com)
Business / Re: Can I Open Stores On Jumia Or Konga As A Foreigner? by JeffGuo(m): 9:52am On Jul 18, 2014
sseunth: do you know how to use that shopify.com
the problem is: is shopify.com a popular enough website? you know, brother, even jumia and konga are doubting by ppls, how shopify will be?
Business / Re: Can I Open Stores On Jumia Or Konga As A Foreigner? by JeffGuo(m): 8:45am On Jul 18, 2014
sseunth: u cant sell on jumia and konga. there are stores on their own.
oh...that is unfortunate, hope they can be like either Amazon (Amazon owned stores and third part store) or ebay (absolute individual stores), this is the trend....
Business / Can I Open Stores On Jumia Or Konga As A Foreigner? by JeffGuo(m): 7:48am On Jul 18, 2014
I now opened stores on Amazon, Ebay, Aliexpress, but all these sophisticated online markets are full of competition, so i am very interested with jumia and konga, I want to open stores on both of the platforms. But I don't know as I am a Chinese lives in china, can I do that?

And as Nigerian, do you like to buy things on the two online markets? Which one you think is better? By swiping bank card or pay after delivered to door?

If my products is both good on price and quality, would you prefer to wait for the international package?

How do I avoid of online fraud...

Appreciate for your kind heart replies...

Business / Re: Package Delivery Problems: USPS And NIPOST by JeffGuo(m): 1:50am On Jul 04, 2013
maco22: I am sorry all, but I have been using the services of NIPOST and they have never failed me, the letters come in after four weeks which is well known to UK universities (because I was told by them).

I believe NIPOST may not be 100% effecient but they have improved in the last 1 year.

Rome was not built in a day

Let us believe in Nigeria and see ourselves as one of those that will turn things around for the better of this country.

the question is how many of us woulc willingly desire to work for NIPOST

but yet we keep condemning them,

pls let us encourage the little efforts they have made to improve things

I like what you are saying, if our country people get more straightness and our country no get so much corruption, i believe 9ja will be one of the most richest countries in the world! God is our leader but hands is motivated by ourselves.

Business / Re: China Imports Business Advice by JeffGuo(m): 12:58pm On Mar 24, 2012
Hello, My brother, I am a chinese and running business on embroidery painting n furnitures in lagos. I suggest u doing something small since the 20K dollar is too small for running big business in 9ja. now what you need to find out is not travelling or logistic something. YOU MUST HAVE AN AIM! that means what business you want to do. Firstly you should do some marketing analysis to find out what is fast moving in nigeria and definitely think about your capital. Good luck my brother.

Business / Business On Artworks, Furniture N Remoted Toys. by JeffGuo(m): 5:45pm On Mar 23, 2012
I now opened a showroom in Ikeja selling traditional chinese artwork-embroidery painting (Suzhou Embroidery) different from the normal oil painting, we use silk in different colors to thread paintings, and all are hand make. In China this is for high class people who have the taste of art and I admit the price is high! I don't know how to make this product to be accepted by nigerian people. Any person who can give me any idea? tks.

By the way, I also do furnitures and remoted toy (helicopter can be controled fly!) for my friends. Any one intreasted about my these programms can contact me by jefferson.guo at gmail dot com.

And then who can tell me the price of glass shutter in nigeria market. dimension is 6'by 24'inches with thickness is 5mm.

thanks

Thank you so much Niiade, I will consider, but for this money, I can not open workshop, so that means all the cabinets will be fabricated in china, but it has another advantage that since the products are fabricated in china, there the factory has more advanced machines and technicians, we can make sure the quality-further more I have people watching the factory before they ship the goods. Since I worked in nigeria in cabinet area for two years, I found some of the producers' product are not the good ones. So I believe I can make good market in 9ja.
Business / Re: I Want To Open Kitchen Cabinet Shop by JeffGuo(m): 3:12am On Sep 27, 2011

Business / Re: I Want To Open Kitchen Cabinet Shop by JeffGuo(m): 3:55am On Sep 26, 2011
Thank you for your remind, gladmama. I really needed the shop, now I am registering a company in china, then after doing soncap, delivering the goods, I will be to Nigeria, this investment amount after calculation is not as what they think as you say. When everything paid off almost nothing left. For the showroom, my Nigeria friend who is a powerful man will rent for me in the form of investment. But I wanna have more choices. Mama

Yes, I'm familiar with Lagos and PH, comparing marland, I still prefer opebi, I now got two choices, one is around adebola house in opebi and the other one around st. Leo church. But I still not too satisfied with them, so I wonder if there is anybody can give more infos on to let.
