Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by jenny53(f): 10:42am On Aug 01, 2023
Goodmornung duchess and everyone here. Pls I had my tb test screening with IOM early July and I was asked to carryout a sputum test which I did. But I am tired of waiting on them for the 8- 10 weeks duration for my result. And I have gone for another xray with a different private hospital and my xray was normal which was initially abnormal in iom. The thing is am thinking of booking with Q life in other to carry out and another screening but, I don't know if this will be an issue because I personal feel the approved hospitals for uk screening will all be registering on the same site. So I am confused because I don't want them to raise any issue on it. So please duchess wat do u think and also any one that has been through this and scaled through could suggest to me, I mean if you have encountered this personally and scaled through. Please I am open to suggestions because time isnt on my side my course start date is 18th of Sept. I await your response

Hello mamas.. Hope the journey is going on fine...
I am 20 weeks gone.. But I have fibroids I want to get advice and also hear from people who have been in this condition.
Thanks

Am currently 37 weeks and 3 days, wen I did my first scan I was told I had 2 fibroids, at time I was distabilised but with time I got over the fear because I never knew abt it till I got pregnant. But all I can tell u is it all depends on the positioning and prayers, although i was only admitted at 20weeks due to pains but I cant say if it was the fibroid or something else that triggered the pain, but with prayers I recover and continued my pregnancy journey cos am also a FTM and after that experience the severe pain didn't reoccur, although i went for antenatal this week and my gynea told me that due to the fibroid I cant go through virginal delivery because its blocking my cervix he even said penetration was in possible due to this same fibroid, but my dear am grateful to God that I conceived so i have been booked for Cs next week immediately i clock 38wks am just depending on God to take control, no one is easy fibroid or no fibroid. Some people have excess bleeding cos of the same fibroid but to the glory of God I never bleed In the course of this journey, so i will advice u pray more and let God take charge of the remaining, he started the journey he will bring it to a fruitful end for all of us, so be strong.

Thank God for all Mama's that put to bed safely.
I am okay but am experiencing serious fibroid paid. I went to the hospital and was given only paracetamol to reduce the pain but it seems not to be working. I can hardly stand, sit or even touch the position of the fibroid. All is do is lay down in pains.

Please Mama's in the house, who has an idea of what I can do to relieve this pain without Having any negative effect on my lo.
Thank you

Sorry for the pains you are going through i can relate, you have to take total bed rest, like dont do anything at all just sufficient rest and for the paracetamol if seem not to be getting any relief i will advice u go back to the hospital and lay your complain again.

In my case I was admitted cos the pain was so unbearable but with Prayer and proper care I got better, I was discharge but am on bed rest at home now for abt 4weeks, am not even allow to cook that for u to know how important bed rest is wen dealing with fibroids.
So get enough rest and but it in prayer I even anoint the particular spot I felt the pain and kept on cursing it in the name of Jesus, but it depends on ur faith though. Be strong it will pass.

BS!! BS!! BS!!

I started having serious back pain in June 2020 and I couldn’t sit to type, it got so bad I would support myself with waist trainer then put a pillow behind me.

Told my fiancé and we went for X-ray, test ... nothing came up, prior to then I had several dreams of going for scan and seeing a baby and my dreams never lie so I confidently told him I was pregnant .

Bought strip ... nothing , then I started having feverish feeling and my mouth was bitter 2 weeks later my period didn’t come.... went for blood test still negative waited a week did another one still nothing I was confused.

My mom called to ask me how far the back ache and I said it was still there... she just said “you are pregnant” my response was they said “nothing o”.

Then towards the ending of July period came.
My fiancé wasn’t happy at all because he secretly wanted me to be pregnant.

August we moved houses , did our intro and in the midst of house hunting, intro planning and moving a full month passed again and still no period yet again....
Then when we finally settled in our new home it hit me that my period had disappeared.

This time I kept mute didn’t want to raise his hope again ... then my sense of smell heightened and one evening we went to chill at a lounge close to our house I ordered goat meat pepper soup...... they brought it and I couldn’t eat o! It just won’t pass my throat and instead I started feeling nauseous.

My fiancé was so shocked (I am proper foodie) he said you are stressed Oya we are going to the hospital.
Next day we went to the hospital and at the hospital I smelt anything and everything ...

I quietly told the doctor to please include a pregnancy test to whatever test they were running, result came out and guess what .... I was 14 weeks pregnant.

Doctor just said let’s just start you on Folic acid.
Now as I found out I was pregnant it seem all the symptoms came crashing down....
Morning sickness became my partner I puked so much and was dehydrated, couldn’t keep anything down.

Symptoms kicked in from 2nd trimester for me... and my registry was slated for November while Trad was December.
On Registry day, they give me chance at Ikoyi because I was weak and throwing up like crazy ... Hubby had to sort someone who gave me a spot to lie down... mehn I see shege!

Second week of December I got my groove back my trad was for the Saturday of that week and on that day people didn’t know I was 5 months gone already.

We got into third trimester and I began to have pregnancy induced hbp... doctor kept telling to rest but It kept fluctuating so I just zoned my mind that any way my baby will be born, either ways.... just kept praying to God to take charge.

By 36 weeks I was put on a drug for 7 days and told that if there’s no change we should settle for an elective CS at 38 weeks.
At 37 weeks I was back at the hospital and bp dropped and same drugs were given for the next 2 weeks also did bio physical profiling and results came out great.

At 38 weeks my father died and they were scared to tell me... I spoke to him on Friday , he died Saturday and I felt it , they refused to tell me but I knew.... at some point I told hubby after looking him straight in the eye, so m dad didn’t get to see my daughter.

Monday of the week after my dad’s death, I started having contraction from about 2pm .... I timed it after a while I feel asleep and woke up 6pm and the contractions kept increasing I kept thinking I didn’t want to go hospital and be told it was false so I held on but by midnight the contractions were crazy and we left for the hospital .. they checked and said I wasn’t dilated and water hasn’t broken.

I kept insisting I knew what I felt and the Dr kept saying madam if you are in labour the whole hospital will known so I said I will go back home but due to my bp issue she insisted they will admit me and monitor it..
By 2am I started throwing up and hmmm words cannot explain the pain.

My husband will rub my back and by 6am I kept feeling the urge to poo! Dr came in to check if I was dilated and got the shock of her life , I was 8cm dilated. I also told her I need to poop.... she rushed to delivery room, they ruptured my water , removed pee from my bladder and then did all the set up.

By exactly 07:55am I welcomed my princess.
PS: all the above I described is not for the faint hearted.... I see shege!! and yes Dr apologized to me and said I had a high threshold for pain as she was used to women screaming the roof down when in labour so she didn’t realize how serious the pains I felt were.

I must say however that the feeling of seeing your child is so rewarding at the end of it all.

B.S

On the 12th of April of April , In the morning my husband asked me while we were gisting when I will go for my pregnancy photo shoot but I wasn’t interested. He was like “I just dey laugh you....baby will come next week”. I was like are you a prophet? grin,Anyways I prepared my photoshoot dress on Wednesday (cos I am tailor) and we went for the shoot on Thursday. After the shoot I prepared and left for my parent’s cos of the proximity to the hospital (it a 10 minutes drive from their house to the hospital and a 40 /1 hour drive from my house). Fast forward to Tuesday night of the next week being 20th April, hubby and I spoke on phone and he kept repeating that I would give birth on Wednesday being 21st and I was laughing...I told him “it’s tomorrow I will know if God has called you or not”. He laughed!
In the mid night I had a rumbling stomach so I went to poo and I urinated frequently than normal. Early that morning as soon as day broke, I had the urgent feeling to pee, lo and behold as soon as I stood up from the bed to go to the bathroom I felt a gush of water coming out of my V when I checked the ground I saw that it was a bit slimy and I saw a spot of blood. My mum was preparing for work and I immediately looked at her and told her water is coming out...she was like pack your bags , get dressed let your dad drop you at the hospital. I went to my room to get dressed and I felt a hot rush of water coming again so I called my husband to meet me at the hospital.
Getting to the hospital at past 6am I waited for a Doctor ,he came checked me and told the nurses to admit me.I was admitted and in between every 30 minutes I was checked. At past 8, I was called to come first the theatre for VE...my God, I screamed my liver out cos the pain is unexplainable. The midwife inserted her hands and I was pushing upwards on the theatre bed to the extent that my head was no longer on it. I cried really bad, that was when the reality of child birth dawn on me.I was 2cm dilated as at that inspection. Around past 10 again I was called to the theatre for VE but this time around it was by the MD of the hospital, you needed to have seen how I almost jumped out of the bed when he inserted his hands , I thought the initial VE was painful but this second one was double painful one would think I was trying to give birth. I was 4-5 cm dilated.
The nurses came every 30 minutes to check my blood pressure and take read of the baby’s heartbeat. Towards 11pm the heart beat was till reading 150 which they said was normal. Later on into 12 to 1pm the heartbeat of my baby started fluctuating, the heart was beating so fast that they had to call a Doctor and when he checked he said he will give me some time and they will check again and if the heart beat rate still goes high I will have to be operated. Later on they checked again and it was still high, they prepared the theatre and I walked there before I entered the theatre, the Doctor had explained to my husband that I and the baby was at risk . While I was in the theatre, the Doctor asked the midwife of my husband had signed the consent for and she confirmed that my husband didn’t hesitate to sign it. The Doctor was like that is so fast!!! The midwife was like that is what happens when you have an understanding man as a husband.
I was asked to sit on the bed and cross both of my hands on my shoulders and I was given aesthetic injections (it was painful and I was so scared) I didn’t feel my body anymore . The 2 Doctors prayed and work started. I was cut open, the incision was small so they were struggling to pull out the baby. Another doctor entered and told the Doctor working on me these words “Cut her more” .. the male doctor working on me said “No, I can work with this cut” ...the intruding Doctor was like “If I was the one I will just cut it further and get it done with”. Come and see me praying at that moment (This was the kind of Doctor I prayed against).
The two Doctors working on me kept pulling and pulling until the Senior Doctor finally pulled out my baby at 2: 41pm he screamed that the baby was big . The baby was cleaned and weighed...my Prince Charming weighed 3.55kg and cried sweetly, The Doctor was like he thought there was going to be complications like bleeding and was very grateful to God for how smooth it was cos it took less than 10 minutes after tear to bring the baby out, I immediately forget my pains when they brought him to my chest and I kissed him. God is indeed wonderful, please praise him for me.

I have officially started my 4th trimester sleepless nights , continuous feeding (I am trying to do exclusive) Baby is just 1 week 5 days but he acts like 3months old. Very strong and active. EDD- 14th April, 1May 2021
Delivery Date-21 April 2021 at 38 weeks 5 days

Cappo, I have dropped my BS . I wish all other mothers safe delivery. CS or Vagina Delivery all na Delivery, the most important thing is holding your baby in your arms alive.

congratulations mama, may lo be all that u have ever wished for, thank God for you.
