Abject Poverty Defined
So what is abject poverty? To fully understand this term, it is best to define the word abject first. Abject is the lowest extreme imaginable and is associated with misery and humiliation. Therefore, abject poverty is the lowest, most hopeless form of poverty that exists. This often means looking for food in less than desirable conditions, such as in garbage cans, or sleeping on park benches or in cardboard boxes. Those in abject poverty often lack access to things that many of us take for granted, such as schools, electricity, and clean water.

Ha ha. 1st of all. I dey reply you late because i actually run my business and do things that matter. When i finish, wen i dey break, I go write you.

The difference between Richness and Poverty.

Richness is when you are happy doing wetin u luv and being satisfied and even contented by it, like I am.

Poverty, is when person claim say dem don build aeroplane finish, but dem sidon dey wait for 'common street hawker' to reply them, because na the only true thing wey dey make am happy.

Eryaa, a beg no cry o, i go try to dey reply you sooner okay?

Why are you harping on China? Are you do delusioned that China is the only country you think you can import from?

Please tell me the factory in Nigeria that the following components came from

Wheel hub
Wheel spokes
Engine
Transmission
Drive chain
Rim
Tire
Tube

So he took a regular low cc motorcycle and cobbled a bed in the back and you're hopping about.

Illiteracy is indeed a disease.

Again, I see someone assembling parts, definitely not manufacturing.

You have access to the Internet, go look at companies that manufacture even bicycle and see how they do it.

I hate this numb skulls that don't know the difference between manufactured and assembled sad

The thing was assembled in Nigeria and there's nothing wrong with that per se but be truthful.

I'll actually buy one for my site today as a run about of sorts but not sure about the price in this current economic context. Maybe they'll have a sale and I'll pick one up.

I'll love the color wink

I am an igbo guy and coming from the east, this thing is very innovative. I ve been to benue and this price is cheap because, those Bajaj and Simba ate selling it there for 500k unless you are lucky to get one from the government which subsidies it fir the farmers.

Also,

If you saw his previous updates showing how he was making this tricycle, i dont think you would say he Only assembled it. I have a feeling some lawyer must have advised him to take if off the website to avoid copying. From what i saw, he first of all, designed it multiple times on paper. Then he began building the machinery for pressing. The only thing i think he imported here was the engine but , even Airplane manufacturers like Airbus, Boeing dont build everything they use, its called contract manufacturing of some components. But the frame and chassis, from what i saw in the postings are 100% manufactured here in nigeria by himself. Something else i noticed from the site was how he converted the drum brakes on the back wheel to Hydraulic disc brakes.

We keep saying people in diaspora should bring something back. But when they do, we insult it and criticize it not because its not innovative, but simply because it made by a Nigerian. If na oyinbo make this thing now, we go all wan buy am.

I looked up this guy, he is only about 30yrs old and he clearly isnt a dummy. He runs other companies in California and is probably making a lot of money. Morw grease to his elbow.

Please lets celebrate one of our own.

A Benue indigene, Mr Stine Chenge, of Chinatown & Benue Valley Vehicle Manufacturing Co,. has designed, engineered, manufactured and assembled a vehicle for the first time in Benue State.

The product named ‘WAZOBIA’ keke is a copyright protected (NCC Certified) light weight portable multi-purpose cargo vehicle (pictured above) which has proven itself as a versatile companion for laborers (Plumbers, Electricians, Mechanics, Vulcanizers), Courier & delivery businesses, Farmers (Carrots, Maize, Potatoes, Beans, Groundnuts, Rice, Cassava, Onions, Tomatoes, Vegetables, Fruits, etc), commercial food vendors and general town services.

Unlike other manufacturers, the products are not built outside Benue or in China and only assembled in Benue, the vehicles are 100% designed, engineered, manufactured by Benue indigenes and assembled in Gboko and Makurdi.

Speaking to Benue.com.ng, Mr Chenge said, ”... Since our products are manufactured within Benue State, our prices are considerably cheaper at just N290,000 per units from 1-10, N250,000 for units from 11-50 and N210,000 for unit from 51-100. Our current production capacity per month is 50 units. This is cheaper than the Chinese or Indian products currently being sold for N450,000 and sometimes as high as N650,000.”

Mr Chenge added that the benefits and implications of this accomplishment are enormous. From employment, to tax revenues to the state, to reinforcing Benue State’s position as a major economic player at a national and global stage, as the company will also be selling the products to neighboring States and, export to neighboring countries like Republic of Benin, Cameroon, Togo, Chad, Ghana in the near future.

“It is our desire to continue to improve and make many models and call on Businesses, Government and the good citizens to patronise our products. Our products can be purchased directly from us by visiting our website www.wazobiakeke.com or via Konga, He concluded.
