This is not right chief, even if i am unable to pay back on time it still doesn't give them the right to defame me, i know quite a number of loan apps that don't defame customers that are unable to payback on time, i know the likes of Fairmoney, branch and some other big fish don't debt shame their customers
DriverX:
you're a fool

Facts!

Better to save in dollars than to save in Naira.

I have checked out these Xend Finance guys, I joined their telegram group. It seems okay. I have a question tho - How is their security? Because so many apps get hacked this days

Investment / What Is Your Savings Goal For 2022? by jerryidinoba: 8:37pm On Jan 11, 2022
In 2021, I saved a total of about N3m. This year I am going to save up to N5m by Gods grace and I am going to achieve this by saving on dollars.

How much did you save last year and how much is your target for next year?

Nairaland / General / Re: Is Lcredit Loan App Legit? (lcredit Loan App Review) by jerryidinoba: 9:07am On Dec 27, 2021
Thanks for this chief, I have been using Fair money for some months now and i have never had any issue whatsoever with them. I think fair money comes first others follow.

youngking89:
This is a lie...I will not recommend Lcredit to anyone. Their interest rate is very high. Pls to avoid stories that touch the heart don't use Lcredit. My neighbor defaulted for a day and they started calling his contacts and telling them that he is a fraud and note that it was his first time defaulting and it was his third time collecting a loan from them. A friend of mine works with Lcredit too. She said she feels sorry for people especially when they default and that they are instructed to do everything possible to get the money back because they are given targets. She said one day she called a client for their money. The client narrated how he almost committed suicide for a loan he collected and couldn't meet up because he had bills he had to pay at the hospital after his wife had lost the baby during child birth. So people felt he had bad luck after the series of calls and text they got of being a fraud. Most of the people who are giving the app five stars on playstore are their staffs. I see some of the text formats she has on her laptop that she sends to her customers and how they respond after she sends the messages. Sometimes she starts laughing after they respond because of the messages she sends to them on WhatsApp. The way they start begging and promising heaven on earth to pay back because they are scared. Sometimes I laugh too but it's not easy. I'm not in support of owing because I know Nigerians take things for granted and this is someone's business. But na person wey dey alive go fit pay him debt. I recommend renmoney,Fairmoney or carbon. Note that I recommended three different loan apps before someone will say I'm trying to promote another one and also note that these ones I recommended also have their own cons too

I have been using fair money for months and they have never called to harass or insult me
avalon7:
The only sane Money lending app right now is BRANCH. They will never call you to insult you. Even if you're late on repayment, they will only call you after few weeks of being late to encourage you and they don't do compounded interest on overdue payment.
You can also use their mobile app to make transfer and pay bills or recharge your phone absolutely free.
Their app no d ever get issues, i believed they are owned by an intentional firm.

Abeg if you decide to use branch loan app use my referral code as thank you for this Update i just give u. You will also get N1000 coupon to use when repaying your first loan .
Find referral code below

have a plan and follow your plan.

LEARN TO USE OSUSU, PIGGY BANK or AKANWO

People should also avoid borrowing and trying to escape with what they borrowed. And also people should use real life loan apps. There are a lot out there, Fair Money, carbon, dole, branch etc

grin grin i stan a king that knows the law!
drphantom:

Lucky you.

They have done at least 2 things which you can sue them for and make some money as well.

1. Breach of contract
2. Breach of data privacy laws

Talk to a good lawyer and find out your options.

Industry regulators fined one such company 10 million for exactly what they are doing to you. An MTN user also recently sued MTN over categorically similar circumstances around a N50 deduction and won N5 million plus legal fees.

It’s high time we start meeting madness with force.

Good luck, sir

I am baffled that people still use the loan companies that threaten them. Let them use FairMoney and any other licensed loan companies
Mosopzy23:
Is it really worth it, taking a loan from these so called loan apps. The high interest, short repayment time, fear of being blackmailed, the mental and emotional stress, just name it, and yet people still go ahead to get a loan from them . I'm baffled honestly
Nairaland / General / Re: Humongous Loan Apps Interest Rates by jerryidinoba: 6:53pm On Nov 29, 2021
The problem is with the government and regulators. I am a big fan of Fairmoney and other registered loan apps. But Fairmoney is is their baba
chaseblack:
Although I agree that an agreement is an agreement but I think loan apps are taking advantage of Nigerians.

The interest rate these apps fix on loans are absurd and sometimes I don't blame people for default.

What is more annoying is that when you apply to invest in that same company ,they offer peanuts as interests.

For instance, one loan app has an overinflated interest rate of 30% for borrowers but if you are an investor, you will be offered a paltry rate of 1.5-3 %. That's criminal!

To make it clearer, if you borrow 20000 you'll be required to pay back #28,000 - #30,000, which means an interest of #8000-#10000 for just 30 days.

But personal findings reveal that if you try to invest #20,000 in that same loan app, you will get an interest of just #150 - #250 after a month.

This is absurd, I have tried investing #40000 in these loan apps several times and all I received was #150 after 40 days. Just imagine!

I tried another one by investing #60000 for 80 days and all I got was a paltry sum of #2300 .

And the last term time I checked the loan app, you will be required to pay #4500 on a loan of #15000 after just 30 days.

That is greediness and the government needs to look into this and find a way to regulate the interest of online loan lenders.

Failure to do these will continue to increase the no of loan defaulters as these loan interest are outrageous.
