Nigerian rapper and actor Falz has opened up on one if his biggest fear since hitting spotlight. The rapper whose real name is Folarin Falana in an episode at MTN project fame in his discussion/coaching of the contestants revealed his biggest fear.

“The fear I had about coming into the limelight was that I would always be in my father’s shadow because he was out there already as a renowned activist and lawyer.

“Being an upcoming artist, headlines, newspapers, magazine and online publications tagged me as Femi Falana’s son and I would say “Hello, is that my stage name?”

“My fear was that how long is this going to last? How long will people continue to refer to me as his son. But after so much effort and hard work, I arrived at a place where they now refer to my dad as Falz’s dad.”

The lawyer-turned-artiste also revealed that he accidentally discovered that his faux Yoruba accent could be popular among fans.

“I think I will say that I stumbled on it because initially, it was always the music,” Falz said.

“In early 2014, I was away on holiday with the family and I decided to make a short clip. I just decided to be stupid and the views I got were ridiculous.

“I was surprised because I was just enjoying myself and from that point, I picked out what it was about me, what it was that made me stand out and it was because I tried to be original.”

Celebrities / Is Reekado Banks Redeeming His Headies Next Rated Status? by jessijazzy1111: 11:33pm On Sep 11, 2016
jessijazzy1111:
Much ado was made when the “Oluwa Ni” crooner was declared the winner of the Next Rated category of the Headies Awards. Then came a bit of fracas between the handlers of Reekado Banks and Lil Kesh, who was also nominated in the same category. Critics of Ayoleyi Solomon believed he has not done enough to clinch the award. Some would have preferred Lil Kesh as winner. Even more pitiable was the fact that nobody did much then in agitating for another talented nominee Kiss Daniel, poor him. You don’t want to know who I tipped to pick up the award. The next rated category is a voting category, as explained by the award organisers in an attempt to justify the winner.
Months have elapsed since the event, and as a music conscious person you can’t help but ask yourself was Reekado Banks worth it? Reeky must have been happy to have won the award but I can stake a fortune that winning it put him under pressure to live out the name Headies Next Rated. Such a small box to live in.
On that stage Reeky promised both fans and critics alike that he will be dropping new music soon in a fortnight. If winning the award boxed him up. I imagine Mavin Records signed music producer Altims, held the keys to unleash Reeky Tom Tom, not DJ Khaled this time.
Midway into January 2016, Reekado Banks dropped a tune dubbed “Oluwa Ni” produced by Altims, not revered label head Don Jazzy.
“Oluwa Ni”, a mid-tempo afropop song, became an instant appeal to music lovers. The song did not come out lame, which explains why it climbed various music charts across the country on both TV and radio. A music video was also dropped to capture TV airplay. At this point, I’m sure some critics may have just for a second thought to themselves “maybe the boy is not that bad”. Yes Reekado Banks just started desensitizing his haters. “Oluwa Ni” has peaked and also remained on the charts for majority of past months.
Some critics may not be so easily sold on “Oluwa Ni”. “What else?” like Sarkodie would say. It is only wise to try the magic portion of Altims again. Since the first chemistry was great they both went back to the lab to conjure something new called “Standard”. From the go you hear “another gbedu way the burst brain” and you are sold already on the song. Reeky’s delivery on this afrobeats is very energetic and catchy. Another bouncy track that has also ascended the charts recently.
ReekyStandard has assisted his collaborators score decent hits when featured. To whom much is given much is expected. A brand new Hyundai SUV, Headies gold plague and maybe cash price is much, if you think otherwise you can located the author of this piece bequeath them.
And now his long awaited album is out ..What do you think of the album?

Health / This Is The Reason Why You Shouldn't Urinate Right Before Having S*x by jessijazzy1111: 11:24pm On Sep 11, 2016
1-Urinating before s*x can increase the risk of getting a bacterial infection.

2-The urethra is shorter in women than in men, and when women urinate, the bacteria will come out. Not doing it will allow the bacteria to keep going up towards the bladder and produce an infection.

3-Dr. David Kaufman is a urologist who recommends not urinating before intercourse.

4-He also reminds his female patients to wipe their private parts from the front to the back, making sure to always do it in that direction. Washing your genitals properly is a must as well.

So make sure you never piss before s*x, as it isn't good for your health.Try to urinate after s*x instead, if you feel some pressure on your bladder. Also make sure to drink enough water to stay hydrated.

Health / These Scientific Studies Were Deemed Silly Or Obscure, But Led To Major Breaktru by jessijazzy1111: 8:12am On Sep 10, 2016
In a segment of the Fox News program Huckabee, the former GOP presidential candidate rails off on how a scientific study that watches how shrimp function on treadmills is “not the only stupid thing that my tax dollar pays for, but it may be the most outrageous.”

“I don’t want my shrimp going to the gym,” he says. “I want them going to the grill or the oven, and then to the table. … I say, let’s send Forrest Gump to Congress. He knows what to do with a shrimp.”

The thing is, Huckabee—researchers weren’t trying to see whether the crustaceans could work off their midsections, but were analyzing how recent changes in the oceans could potentially affect the ability of marine organisms to fight infections, which can have a tremendous impact public health.

Such scoffing of frivolous-sounding federally funded scientific research helped fuel the creation of the Golden Goose Award, which recognizes the achievements of work that “may have been considered silly, odd, or obscure when first conducted but has resulted in significant benefits to society.” The brainchild of Congressman Jim Cooper, the award was launched in 2012 was a way to illustrate the value of funding for basic science, and was the topic of a recent discussion in Reddit’s Today I Learned community.

Reddit user jhshiode is one of the current primary staffers working on the award, and showed up to the discussion to share some insight and dispel some myths about federally funded scientific research—one being that money is distributed recklessly.

“Most federal science funding agencies give funding to fewer than 1 in 4, and in some cases more like 1 in 10 proposals for research projects,” the redditor writes. “The process is incredibly rigorous and competitive. For example, average success rate for proposals at the National Institutes of Health last year was 18%, with some large programs below 10%.”

Science is weird. But you don’t discover new things by doing the same old thing.

1.Massaging Rat Babies to Help Human Babies

The study: Scientists rubbed the backs of infant rats with a tiny brush.

The impact: The work led to the finding that massage could promote the survival and growth of premature human infants. Infant massage therapy is now used by nearly 40 percent of NICU’s nationwide, helping thousands of preemies survive, thrive and go on to live healthy lives.

Using Poisonous Lizard Spit to Treat Diabetes

The study: In 1992, Dr. John Eng discovered a new compound in the Gila monster’s venom, which he named Exendin-4. The compound stimulates insulin-producing cells in the pancreas to produce more insulin when glucose levels are high, keeping the body’s blood sugar levels at a steady, normal level while minimizing the risk of levels going too low, compared to an insulin shot.

The impact: The medication, now marketed as Byetta, has been prescribed to millions of people with diabetes, helping them manage their chronic condition.

Studying the Color of Jellyfish to Make Discoveries About Human Genetics

The study: In 1962, researchers gathered thousands of jellyfish known as Aequorea victoria off the coast of Washington to study their luminescence and isolate a protein that glowed light green in daylight and fluorescent green in UV light.

The impact: The research has led to advances in genetics, cell biology, developmental biology, and neurobiology, and has given scientists a better understanding of cancer, brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s, and other human diseases.

Car Talk / Terrifying Moment Man Narrowly Avoids Deadly Fall After Car Dangles Off Nine-sto by jessijazzy1111: 7:47am On Sep 10, 2016
jessijazzy1111:
A man who failed to stop when pulling into a rooftop spot of a nine-storey parking garage in Texas rammed through protection wires and avoided a deadly fall when one wire wrapped around an axle, leaving the
car dangling on the building's side on Friday.
The 24-year-old man, who was not identified by police, was pulled to safety back into the car garage.
He said he was unable to stop the vehicle that went off the top of the building and flipped over until it was caught by a wire, police said.
Firefighters lower a car from a nine-storey parking lot after the driver broke through protective wires while parking on the roof and the vehicle avoided crashing to the ground when one of the wires attached itself to the axle.
“The driver was (miraculously) able to climb out of the sunroof and make his way safely back into the garage,” the Austin Fire Department wrote on its Facebook page.
The man was not injured.
“I have a strong feeling the driver is going to have a great appreciation of what it means to be alive from this point forward,” said James Davis, 29, a cellphone software developer who was one of about 100 people watching the car dangling.
The car was eventually lowered to street level by firefighters who used a wiring system to slowly move it.
“From what we understand, the driver accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake,” the department said.
