@Godtemi thank you for all you're doing here and others too. Please I also need helpful information for a 17 year old who wants to study Social Work. A good school with reasonable tuition, possibility of scholarship, and any other useful information. Thank you.

Reference letters written by two of my superiors at work, one of them was my former HOD.
Authorship of publications : both ways...first author and second author
Publications: i have in both local and international journals. But you can just send your best.
Assessment took about three months.
Thanks

This is great! Quickly, who wrote your reference letters? Superiors at work or supervisors in uni? Were you the first author of your publications? Local or intetnational journals? How long did the assessment take? I apologise for intruding and for more to come. Been dragging my feet to start the process and was waiting for July.
Thanks

I think I sent just two publications. Vetassess does not require IELTS, therefore general training is ok for Dept of Home Affairs.

Thanks. This really helps as I have been trying to get the same info.

Please did you include publications? What's the maximum number of publications that can be included?

Lastly, what IELTS exam is needed for Lecturers? Academic or General?

I applied, paid and submitted certified true copies of the following:
All certificates
Appointment letter
Promotion letter
2 reference letters
Pay slips
I also applied for my transcripts to be sent to VETASSESS directly by the universities I attended.
Take note that my 1st degree was graded associate degree and my Masters graded as bachelors. But I got a positive assessment and my first year at work was not counted for me. However I still had sufficient number of years to claim the maximum points for work experience.
I wish you the best.

Please would you like to share the process for your positive assessment?

I have a positive assessment for University lecturer. No PGDE no PhD.
M.A. plus 9.5 years as at the time of assessment. One year was deducted and I have over 8 years according to them.

Hope this helps

Thanks!!

I have taken IELTS: RWSL/ 8,7.5,7.5,7.5 (5points to him) and think a positive assessment will give him an additional 5points.

I wouldn't want to waste resources at this point. Is there any one who has assessed with vetassess for lecturing? Can you please share your experience?

I checked on expertforum and was made to understand, invitations are once a month and goes mostly to people with 90 points and superior English

Thanks. But on the NSW website, it is said that 491 applications will open shortly...could it be that what you saw on Expat forum refers to 190 visa? I wonder what's really happening.

Please can anybody just confirm that NSW has not opened application for 491? I really need to be sure that I'm not missing something. Thanks.

Good morning everyone. I pray for success in our Aussie pursuit and specially praying for NSW to open 491 application as that seems to be the only hope for some of us? Have a great day all.

Hi everyone, happy to be a part of this great forum. I just joined today although I have been following as a guest for several months. It is amazing how people help one another here to actualize their dreams. Indeed everyone here is great.
I congratulate all those who got their ITA and those who made the great move in the month of may. We all will come back here with testimonies by the grace of God.
