No master.

Please, read the post, then share your opinion grin

The question is:
By law, can a man claim to be raped?
Crime / Re: Can A Man Be Raped? by JimmySmilez: 2:19pm On Jun 07, 2020
SenorFax:
Reserved guys and Christian brothers in universities are known to be raped mostly by female cultists, especially if you are fine and you no dey give them face.

They will drug you at gun point and each will have sex with you till they are satisfied. According to victims, once the substance begins to wear out, you loose consciousness and drained due to the effect and may likely die if you are not lucky enough. It's the same effect sex enhancing drugs have on guys when they overdose.

So to answer your question, guys are raped and killed too, in more horrible manner sef.

True.
Men, sometimes, become victims of sexual abuse.
However, should you take the matter to Court, the Court wouldn't call it "Rape".
By Nigerian law, A MAN CANNOT BE RAPED!
Crime / Re: Can A Man Be Raped? by JimmySmilez: 2:16pm On Jun 07, 2020
cucumbae:
Yes.A man can be rape through drug and charm hypnotism.A lady will go to babalawo and collect love charm to manipulate a man who doesn't admire her before to start admiring her.
A lady can also sprinkle drug inside a man's drink to make him lose his senses and rape him. They do these if they want to blackmail him or force him to marry them.

Did you read the post at all?
Crime / Can A Man Be Raped? by JimmySmilez: 12:41pm On Jun 07, 2020
The short answer is NO!

The definitions of rape by both the Nigerian Criminal Code (CC) and the Penal Code (PC) makes no provision for male victims.
Only women are capable of being raped!!

Section 357 of the CC states:
Rape occurs when a person has unlawful carnal knowledge of a woman without her consent, if with her consent by means of threats or intimidation, by means of fraudulent misrepresentation as to the act or by impersonating her husband

Section 282 of the PC defines rape thus:
A man is said to commit rape who has sexual intercourse with a woman against her will, without her consent, with her consent, when consent has been obtained by putting her in fear of death or hurt, with or without her consent when she is under fourteen years of age or of unsound mind

Clearly, only a woman or a girl may be raped as far as the wordings of both code suggest.

Look no further!
DM me.
I'm available for hire.

I would not only provide the results of the analysis but also interpret it and if necessary write the entire Chapter 4.

Here are the Statistics...

Health / Re: MALARIA : The Most Underestimated Killer-disease In Nigeria. by JimmySmilez: 8:10pm On Aug 07, 2019
Malaria is endemic in sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2017 alone, malaria killed over 400,000 persons, 66% of these individuals were children under the age of 5, 93% of these children are from sub-Saharan Africa (WHO, 2018).

Nigeria has the largest burden of the disease in the world. Ironically, the average Nigerian doesn't see the disease as life threatening!!
Health / MALARIA : The Most Underestimated Killer-disease In Nigeria. by JimmySmilez: 7:56pm On Aug 07, 2019
This thread is meant to raise awareness about the seriousness of malaria and the need to step up and take small, individual actions towards its elimination in Nigeria.

There would be periodic updates, room for questions and expert opinions.

Thank you as you come along for the ride, it promises to be educative and fun.

that shows that one has been short listed for the scholarship right? Are u for ug or graduate program?
I applied for a graduate program.

No, I don't think they've made a short list for the interview yet. Here's the mail I received;

Hello,

Thank you for submitting your application for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, it is now part of our review process.

A University of Edinburgh Selection Committee will meet in February-March 2018 with an aim to interview shortlisted candidates in March 2018.

If you are shortlisted for an interview, you will be contacted to arrange a suitable interview time. Interviews will take place either in person, one of us will be in your country, through Skype or phone.

If you are not shortlisted for an interview, you will receive an email to inform you that your application has not been successful.

The scholarship winners will be announced in March-April 2018.

Please do not apply for admission to the University before the scholarship decisions are announced, unless you are applying for other scholarships in the University of Edinburgh.

The successful Mastercard Foundation scholarship applicants will be supported by the MCF Team through the process of admission and will not need to pay any fees.

Kind Regards,

MCF Team
University of Edinburgh

Thanks for this.
I'd want some other materials to prepare properly just in case you have.
Any need to pay for tutorial in addition.
I intend writing this exam early next year.
No, you do not need extra tutorials.
The test isn't as tough as people feel it is.
You just need to prepare well for it, get familiar with the nature of the test, and you will ace it.

The materials on the link I shared was all I used. I think they'll serve you well.

I would also recommend 'Ieltsliz'. I suggest you spend enough time on her blog and watch as many of her YouTube videos as you can. I found her tips and approach very effective.

Wish you success as you prepare.
Cheers!!!

you are right. While we wait, I want us all to be prayerful and optimistic.

That's true.

However, despite being optimistic, I am also realistic!

I have alternative plans, not putting all my eggs in one basket! (if you know what I mean).

Please has anyone here been nominated for the McGill MasterCard foundation scholarship, the person should send a pm.
I can relate to this.

Few days ago, my impatience got the better of me. I mailed the coordinator of my prospective program asking for the status of my application for a nomination.
She replied and told me the that results of the nomination exercise will be out in early December.
Just a few weeks from now.
So, let's keep our fingers crossed!

In addition, remember to tell a story.
Essays that tell a story are usually more captivating. Don't just list your achievements or answer the questions. Tell stories on how you accomplish certain task, the challenges you faced, how you've become better from such experience and how these experiences makes you a perfect fit for this scholarship.

You're not missing anything, you will have to wait for their decision.

Although, the nomination of a thing seems somehow to me. I doubt the credibility of such process

Yeah. I'm beginning to feel that way too.
How do you choose from a pool of applications who to nominate with just their transcripts and curriculum vitae?

I did not think the nomination would take this long or undergo such scrutiny, I would've beefed up my CV some more. I was only gunning for the actual application for scholarship and essays.

Any which way, let's see how it goes!

Steps for McGill is closely similar but not the same.

For McGill (Masters)

You contact the department you intend to apply to and seek nomination for MCF scholarship.

They will request for your credentials and forward it to department.

After review, department will contact you as whether you have been nominated for MCF or not.

If you have been nominated, MCF will confirm your eligibility and guide you to apply to McGill with fee waived.

Note: The nomination is done by a professor in the department you're applying to. Hence you don't have to contact them yourself.

I attached list of Program eligible for funding by MCF.

This was the message I got from McGill.

Cheers.

So, I followed this procedure and was told that my application for nomination has been forwarded to the appropriate department and that I'll be contacted shortly when they reach a decision concerning the application.

I'm yet to receive a response and they seem to have a December 1st deadline.

Am I missing something here?

Undergraduate program. Today is the third day and they have not reply me.
I don't know about undergraduate applications, but for postgraduate applications, the eligibility assessment is automatic.

Once you answer those questions correctly, you become eligible to move to the next stage of the application process.

Congrats my own no enter as much as I needed, Got 8,7,7,6.5, 6.5 was in reading. How do I improve my reading. Thanks.
Tips from Ieltsliz helped me a great deal.
I watched her videos on YouTube and read her blog.
I found the video on True, False and Not Given especially helpful. As questions of that nature are the easiest to fail, the video contains valuable tips on how to answer such questions.

In addition, a tip that came very handy during my test was :
Don't try to read the entire passage before answering the questions, the time will be insufficient. Instead, skim through for a few minutes to get the general overview and then go straight to the questions. After reading a question, use the key word(s) from the question to locate the answer from the passage.
It is also important not to try to understand everything in the passage, your duty is only to find the answers.

Repeated practice helped me perfect this technique.
