Health / Is Watery Sperm Normal? by jnistrick(m): 5:59am On Jul 03, 2015 |
Most men worry a lot about whether the semen is thin or thick. Interestingly, there is no research to back the idea that the thickness or thinness of semen has something to do with fertility or anything. The standard mean ejaculate volume for testing is 3.7ml, and it's considered normal even if it's below 1.5ml. It means that even a teaspoon of semen is normal in most cases. It is important to understand that you may notice a substance coming out of your penis when you're sexually excited – it's right at the tip of your penis. This is not semen – it's pre-ejaculate (or precum) produced by the Cowper's gland. The fluid provides lubrication during sexual intercourse. Many people take it as watery semen, but it doesn't always contain sperm. Which factors influence the consistency of sperm? What you eat will also have an impact on the consistency of semen. It means that you will notice watery semen if your diet doesn't contain enough protein or lacks other important nutrients. Protein will help make your semen thick. Moreover, you may notice a change in the thickness of your semen if you ejaculate often. It usually takes a few months for sperms to mature in the testicles, which means that your testicles will not have enough sperms if you masturbate and ejaculate several times each day. The lack of sperm in this case may lead to watery semen. Although it is not always true, a low sperm count may also be the reason behind your watery semen. You need to understand though that several factors can have an impact on your sperm count. If your testicles are being exposed to high temperatures, it will keep your sperms from developing completely. The rise in temperature could be due to your tight clothing. Overall, there's no real need to worry about anything if you notice watery sperm or semen. However, you may seek medical advice if your semen is watery and you experience pain when ejaculating. You may consider going to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic to find assistance. What Changes in sperm to Worry About? Like mentioned, watery semen is not always a cause of concern, but there are certain situations when it is a good idea to get in touch with your physician to ensure it's nothing serious. 1. A change in smell may indicate problems as well. You will notice a chlorine type smell when you ejaculate, but you may have an infection if the semen smells bad. 2. How much semen a person ejaculates varies greatly, but you should have an idea about the volume of semen you usually ejaculate. If you see a decrease in its normal volume, this may be due to a blockage in ejaculatory duct or seminal vesicle. 3. If you are noticing a low volume of seminal fluid, this could be due to a condition called retrograde ejaculation. In this condition, your semen flows back into the bladder instead of coming out of your penis. This may happen due to a prostatic infection, diabetes, and certain medications. 4. Your semen may become thick if you're feeling dehydrated. It is only a temporary condition though. You may have to worry about thick seminal fluid if it's clumpy as well. It usually happens due to abnormally low testosterone levels. If the condition persists for a couple of weeks, you may consider seeing your doctor. Why the Color of sperm Matters More than Thickness? You need to understand that semen is off white or white in color. It should turn runny and clear in no more than 30 minutes. If you notice a change in its color, there may be something serious going on here. If your semen is red in color, it usually happens due to prostate problems. Sometimes, you will notice brown or bright red semen. It is mainly due to a burst blood vessel in your prostate. Your semen color should return to normal within a couple of days, but if that's not the case, you should visit your doctor because persistent blood in seminal fluid may result from trauma, infection, and even cancer. Green or yellow tinged semen usually indicate infections. If you notice a pronounced green or yellow color, it could be due to an STD called gonorrhea. You may need to take antibiotics to treat this infection, so it is important to see your doctor as soon as you can. http://www.enkivillage.com/watery-semen.html |

Romance / Some People Are Just Bad At Monogamy by jnistrick(m): 9:31am On May 16, 2015 |
She didn’t mean to. It was just a simple friendly dinner with a friend from work when they were out of town closing the sale. But after the third glass of wine his hand was resting on her knee but it was totally harmless, so she just left it there. And yeah, they were snuggled up in the cab back to the hotel. And ok, maybe she did go back to his room with him, but it was just for a quick nightcap. One thing lead to another and… well, look, she’s really sorry , ok? This doesn’t mean that she doesn’t care about you. She honestly does. But the fact remains that she is not the sort of person who can make and keep a monogamous commitment to someone, even someone she loves. Maybe you thought you could change her. Maybe she honestly thought things would be different this time. But they weren’t, and now you have a lot of questions that you need to ask yourself. How You Can Stop It? |

i have read about and seen on TV how women choose commercial driving as a line of business but I was shocked to see a lady of this age picking up the courage to be a keke driver rather than waiting for a guy to meet her needs or going into prostitution. honestly i respect and adore this lady. I felt this is worth sharing with our ladies out there, instead of selling your body to earn a living, you can engaged yourself in something meaningful. I'm not asking you guys to be keke drivers o.

Fashion / Bra Mistakes (and How To Fix Them) by jnistrick(m): 7:00am On Jan 29, 2015 |
While browsing I came across this and I felt it would help our ladies in their choice of bras. Can you imagine that 80% of women fail in choosing the right bra? From buying a bra to matching it with your outfit – this seems a very big problem for most of women. Admit it, it’s almost impossible to find the one that fits, supports and perfectly separates. If your bra fits incorrectly, it makes you feel extremely uncomfortable. Wearing the wrong size bra will limit what you can wear while a good fitting bra will make your outfit look better. These essential tips will help you make your bra shopping easier. Also, learn here how to take care of this important piece in your wardrobe. 1. Check the band. This picture will help you to understand if everything is OK with your bra. The band should not ride up your back. It shouldn’t be higher than the underwire and lay horizontal across your back. If it is, try a smaller bra size. The band should be snug around your rib cage but not too tight. You must realize that it can stretch a bit later, about three inches in its lifetime. So buying a bra with a bigger band size makes no sense. http://herbeauty.co/fashion/bra-mistakes-fix/?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=herbeauty.co_mob_premium_bad&utm_campaign=herbeauty.co_mob_premium_bad&utm_term=31313&utm_content=1297980&mgd_src=31313

Politics / The Cameroonian Soldier Killed 143 Boko Haram Militants by jnistrick(m): 1:50pm On Jan 13, 2015 |
The Cameroonian army killed 143 Boko Haram fighters who attacked a military base in the northern town of Kolofata on Monday, in what the government said was the militants' heaviest loss yet on its territory. One Cameroonian soldier also lost his life in the clashes, Communications Minister and government spokesman Issa Tchiroma Bakary said in a statement read out on television and radio. The toll was "the heaviest loss yet" suffered by Boko Haram on Cameroonian soil, he said, and comes at a time of fears of increased cross-border raids by the Nigeria-based group into Cameroon, Chad and Niger. The spokesperson said the attack began in the early hours when "several hundred" Islamist fighters took advantage of thick fog to cross over from Nigeria and tried to storm the town's military base, where an elite army unit is stationed. Intense fighting Intense fighting erupted near the base, lasting for more than five hours before the attackers fled back towards the border, the spokesman said, adding that the army had seized a significant arsenal of heavy weaponry from the militants. A local source said residents fled "as soon as people heard the first gunfire" in the town. The attack on Kolofata comes after the group's leader Abubakar Shekau vowed last week in a YouTube message to hit back at Cameroon for sending warplanes into action against the fighters in December after they seized a military camp. Monday's offensive was the first by Boko Haram on the town since the army's elite Rapid Intervention Battalion was deployed to defend the area after deadly attacks in 2014. Several people were killed in an attack on Kolofata in July and 27 people, including the wife of a deputy prime minister, were held hostage for several weeks by the militants. Politics / FG Spends N471bn To Service Debts by jnistrick(m): 11:52am On Jan 04, 2015 |
The Federal Government spent a total of N471bn to service its domestic and external debts in the first half of the 2014 fiscal year, figures obtained from the Budget Office of the Federation have shown. The figure, contained in the Budget Monitoring and Implementation report for the first and second quarters of 2014, was approved by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. In the two-part report, a copy of which was obtained by our correspondent on Friday in Abuja, showed that the sum of N299.36bn was utilised to service debts in the first quarter while the second quarter had N171.6bn, making a total of N471.3bn. A further breakdown of the quarterly figure indicated that for the first quarter, the servicing of domestic debt obligation gulped a huge chunk of the N279.64bn while the balance of $119.48m (N20.07bn) was used to service external debt. For the second quarter of 2014, the report said while the sum of N161.8bn was spent to maintain domestic debts, external debt servicing gulped $58.7m (N9.8bn). It said, “As of 30th June, 2014, a total of N161.80bn was released for domestic debt servicing while the actual domestic debt payment was N224.51bn. “The difference of N58.61bn (or 35.33 per cent) between the quarterly budgeted estimate of N165.9bn for domestic debt services and the actual domestic debt service was mainly due to additional issues of FGN Bonds above the amount projected to be issued, due to changes in the issuance calendar and the rising cost of rolling over Nigeria Treasury Bills. “The actual external debt service payment in the second quarter of the year amounted to $58.7m. A breakdown of the payments indicated that $31.39m (or 53.48 per cent) was to multilateral creditors; $0.37m (or 0.63 per cent) was to non-Paris bilateral creditors, $6.08m (or 10.36 per cent) was to commercial (Euro-bond) creditor and $20.86m (or 35.54 per cent) was to others.” Nigeria’s overall public debt stock, according to Okonjo-Iweala, stood at $69.6bn or about 13 per cent Gross Domestic Product made up of external debt of $9.5bn and domestic debt of $60.1bn. As of September 2014, the total debt of the Federal Government and the 36 states of the federation as well as the Federal Capital Territory was N10.84tn, according to statistics from the DMO. Details of the debt status of the country showed that the external debts of both the Federal and state governments then amounted to $9.52bn or N1.48tn. As of September 30, the domestic debt stock of the Federal Government alone stood at $49.12bn or N7.65tn. The domestic debt of states, on the other hand, stood at $10.97bn or N1.71tn. While financial analysts described the nation’s debt stock as worrisome, the finance minister blamed the increase in domestic debt on the 53.7 per cent rise in the 2010 wage bill. She, however, noted that since then, the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan had been cautious about the issue of debt and borrowing. She said, “We have focused on more long-term concessional debt financing to finance infrastructure such as power, rail, road and water. “For the first time in our nation’s history, we even managed to retire N75bn of domestic bonds in 2013. Our efforts had helped to drive down domestic borrowing from N852bn in 2011 to N642bn in 2014. “Despite the present tough situation, we do not plan to go on a borrowing spree but instead further take down domestic borrowing to N570bn in the 2015 budget.” She said the government was conscious of the need to watch the debt service to revenue ratio, which climbed from 17 per cent in 2011 to 19 per cent in 2014 and projected at 22 per cent in the 2015 budget. http://www.punchng.com/business/fg-spends-n471bn-to-service-debts/ |
Religion / T.B Joshua Takes Victims’ Families Shopping by jnistrick(m): 11:37am On Jan 04, 2015 |
The pastor of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, TB (Temitope Balogun) Joshua, took some of the relatives of the 85 South Africans killed in the church’s guesthouse that collapsed on September 12 on a shopping spree on Christmas day. Joshua was also reported to have showered the relatives with cash and gifts, a South African newspaper, Daily News reported. One of the bereaved, 47-year-old Wonder Ndlovu, whose husband was killed in the building collapse, was among the first group to spend time with the pastor after the tragedy. She was quoted by the newspaper as saying that she and others who visited Nigeria had a “nice time, went shopping and stayed in beautiful hotels.” Ndlovu stated that before they went out shopping, they were taken to the building collapse site where the televangelist was said to have laid his hands on and prayed for the relatives. “We met with the man of God (Joshua) and he briefed us about the site visit. Wiseman Harry and other evangelists took us there; it was very emotional for me, but others were strong and comforting. I brought flowers from South Africa and laid them with my son. It is ugly. Looking at the building foundations we are convinced it was an attack,” the widow said. She added, “The prophet is full of surprises. After weeping, he took us to the city to see places. To our surprise, we shopped till we dropped and the bill was on him. We were having the time of our lives, forgetting the pain of the past and looking forward to picking up the pieces and moving on. Yesterday has gone by, but tomorrow is forever. “He (Joshua) took us to a five-star posh hotel for dinner, fine food and drinks. The hotel is in Victoria Island. After chilling, we came back in his luxurious kombis. (There were) more surprises while (we were) preparing to sleep. The mamas who took us shopping knocked and presented us with N50, 000 each and they said we (must not) use all our (own) shopping money… I just sang A huna ya tshwana le yena (there’s no one like him).” According to the South African newspaper, the popular televangelist invited 44 family members of the deceased for Christmas dinner and many of them accepted. Speaking from Nigeria, Kirsten Nematandani, a spokesman for the church based in South Africa, confirmed to Daily News that a second group would visit this month. Meanwhile, some of the KZN families who have received invitations to meet Joshua this month said they would gladly go. Another South African, 29-year-old Simphiwe Ngcobo, said the trip to the Nigeria would help him connect “spiritually” with his parents, Dickie and Dennis Ngcobo. He said he was excited about the trip and would travel with a relative this month. “It is important for us to go to the site and pay our respects to our loved ones. We have accepted their death and we are moving on. We could have gone with the first group of families but we decided to be with the family over Christmas. We have no qualms against anyone, which is why we have gladly accepted this wonderful gesture from the man of God,” he said. Reverend Eric Myeni, whose 29-year-old son, Sabelo, died in the September 12 collapse, also accepted Joshua’s invitation. “We need to overcome what has happened by showing our faith in Christ. We can never reverse our adversity. But with hope in the lord we can overcome the pain suffered,” he said. When our correspondent contacted the church through one of the phone numbers provided on SCOAN website, to confirm the report of the relatives’ visit and the shopping spree paid for by Joshua, a lady who picked the phone said “yes.” http:://www.punchng.com/news/synagogue-tragedy-t-b-joshua-takes-victims-families-shopping/

The Federal Government has proposed the sum of N815.4m in this year’s budget for the purchase of fuel and lubricants for cars and generators for the Presidency, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and their parastatals. Politics / Military Urges Politicians To Refrain From Using Its Operations As Campaign by jnistrick(m): 12:30pm On Dec 27, 2014 |
The Military on Friday in Abuja called on politicians in the country to refrain from using political campaigns to undermine its operations. A statement issued by the Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, said this call was as a result of some distortions. "In view of the series of insinuations, allegations and false claims being made by certain activists and politicians on the legal and disciplinary process in the Nigerian military, the Defence Headquarters finds it necessary to make this call. “Politicians should avoid using the forum or medium of their political campaigns to incite or endorse acts of indiscipline in the nation’s military establishments. “This call has become necessary as the trend got to another level on Tuesday when a prominent politician declared that soldiers have the right to protest Federal Government’s failure to fully equip them. “It was expected that the fellow quoted or his party would have made immediate moves to correct this fallacy or erroneous impression being propagated, especially in view of the level of knowledge of his principal and candidate in the forthcoming elections,” it said. The statement said since no such gesture was forthcoming there was the need to caution against “the propagation of this dangerous idea before it causes more problems”. It further said “the military institution, for the avoidance of any doubt, rejects this declaration and its intention in all ramifications”. The statement said the military law, as recognized by the Constitution of the Federation, is an appropriate legal document for the management of affairs of the military. “The processes it outlines for handling military offences remain legal and will continue to be applied in the interest of the nation’s security and democracy. “Individuals and interest groups seeking to play to the gallery by being meddlesome, sensational or mischievous in interpreting developments in the military are advised to moderate their activities with some decorum. “It is clear that the false accusations which depend on unsubstantiated allegations being peddled about the military operations in Nigeria are intended to tarnish the reputation of the military and its leadership. “The campaign apparently aimed at undermining constituted authority in the military must not be encouraged,” it said. The statement said it was apparent that most of the comments in the media had been oblivious of the fact that the processes were still ongoing and yet to be concluded. “The war on terror is not all about equipment, but mindset of both the military and the public, and inciting remarks can only compound the situation for all involved. “The military is resolved to prosecute the counter-terrorism campaign with all sense of commitment by the rank and file. “The tendency to suggest or encourage dissention in the system will not yield any advantage to any well-meaning Nigerian citizen. “Politicians are therefore requested to guide their utterances as the military remains a veritable institution of the state. “Those who seek to undermine or destroy it should be prevailed upon to stop the mission, considering the fact that the institution remains indispensable to government and its process under any dispensation,” it said. “The military is committed to defending the nation’s democracy, and individuals and personalities are enjoined to refrain from pronouncements and attitude that can undermine the established justice/ disciplinary procedures and processes of the military system.” The statement said the counsel was very vital to the excellent civil-military relations which was crucial to the nation’s development. “Incitement to protests or mutiny in the military is an ill-wind which will ultimately blow no good to anyone. “The military authorities should not be blackmailed with a view to forestalling the exercise of due command and control over the system as established by law in the interest of the nation. “The Nigerian military has resolved not to yield to whims and caprices of those seeking to undermine its system purely for populist or political ends,” it said. http://m.news24.com/nigeria/National/News/Military-urges-politicians-to-refrain-from-using-its-operations-as-campaign-issues-20141227 1 Like |
