Rent in regional areas are very cheap compared to the city.
Someone I know pays $70 per week as rent in Newcastle, while I pay higher in Burwood.

Jobs:
I can't say for certain if non-regional areas have more jobs than regional areas. Although Population can be a discerning factor.

Cost of Living.
Know your stomach, budget your feeding in a month and try to cut down on unnecessary expenses. Bring lots of food from Naija so that you won't spend on feeding for more than 6 months.

Good morning gurus in the house!!!
Please what are the requirements for undergraduate students planning to study in Australia ... And again, Please, if anyone know cheap university or full funding scholarships school. Please. Highlight... God bless and I wish everyone success.

You don't put cheap and Australia in the same sentence, they aren't of the same class undecided.
I haven't heard of full funding schools though you might be fortunate enough to get scholarships (Dean list) but after you've completed a semester and if you're GOOD.
Or maybe some discount on tuition as someone has said earlier

Thank you Joan.

Please I will be resuming in Latrobe for my MSC in Feb.

Kindly help me with insights into how I can get accomodation and Job.

Also hint me on any skill you would reckon in acquire before getting on the plane.

Thank u.

If you can get a disability certificate.... You would be more than okay cos it's an mmm grin.
Bring your driver's license, it's only valid for 6 months though. You can convert it to Victoria's driving license.

Download Airtasker there are loads of job there... You can use that pending when you get a real job

As for accommodation, there are two ways about it
1. Get a room that the rent is Not more than $150 per week
2. Rent an apartment with 3 or more than bedrooms (the more bedrooms and fewer bathrooms it has the less it cost), make sure when you divide the rent each of you don't pay more than 150.
Here's the spoiler. Depending on the type of people you get, increase the house rent of others to include what you'd pay for bills and you're good.

Before you start telling me am selfish, land here first undecided

Good day everyone.
It's good to be here. Please what is the best region to study Electrical/Renewable Energy Engineering?

I need ideas for universities with relatively affordable tuition fees please can anyone b kind enough to give me this information?

Also how do I go about writing a convincing SOP since I have a masters already but want to go for another as I am passionate about alternative energy.

The bolded part is on Google.
You've answered yourself already, there are SOP formats online, look at them to get an idea of what to write and what not to write.
Write the SOP as if that's the only thing that'll keep you alive to see tomorrow tongue

What's your average income in Victoria for students to pay that amount of rent?

First and foremost, I can't tell you that and then again, people who live here would agree with me that my rent is cheap even though it's not the cheapest.

International students are Australia's cash cow, people pay twice of what I pay a week in the so called student houses and some other places undecided

Good evening all, This is about rent and accommodation.

For some days now, I've been thinking about rent and the excessive amount most of us pay including myself all in the name of renting a room.

An idea then popped into my head, what if you can gather friends and rent an apartment on your own, you can get your own private bathroom In that way, you not only save yourself the wahala of some housemates or landlord. You also pay cheaper rent since you know how much you'd pay in a week, month and so in.

At the moment I pay $150 per week which I still consider expensive.
Anyway the purpose of my writeup grin is to say if you need a cheap place to stay and wouldn't mind sharing an apartment with my humble self. Where I'll make sure you don't pay more than $150 in a week. Let me know

P. S You have to be in Victoria though, It's mainly for Deakin University students although anyone is welcomed.

Check how much you'd pay rent after dividing that number by 2 cheesy

Hey guys, am going to talk about a very important thing in the morning.... Housing/ rent

A very unfortunate event happened to me very recently and I would like to share it with you all. though an waiting to resolve issues at the moment.

When looking for a place to rent make sure you know the rules guiding the place and also your right as a tenant. Don't stay in a house for 2 weeks without your rental agreement by your side because it will come in handy when any situation arises.

It's time for me to drop my own gist too grin

I used Egypt air because it was the cheapest and had the shortest layover, would have used Turkish but mehn that layover was out of it.
The flight from Lagos to Cairo was the worst I can't lie. Old plane, the seat was not good atall, I didn't enjoy it atalllll but when I called their customer care I was told they use A330-300 on Thursdays and Saturdays sad. So anyone that wants to use them I advise you call their customer care and ask when they use the A330. The meal was decent and it was tasty too.
The flight from Cairo to Bangkok was very good mehn from the plane to the meal to the inflight entertainment, everything was okay on the plane and it's definitely a new plane, it was neat. I had a nice time on this flight and slept well. It was my best leg.
I had about 4 hours layover at Bangkok. Bangkok airport is big mehn I walked for over 30 minutes from the gate I arrived to the gate for my flight. This leg was decent and I was provided to show my visa to them at the gate before boarding maybe because I was the only black. The leg was decent the plane was okay, meal was okay but it was very very cold.
I will drop the rest tomorrow, I'm tired

Totally agree, turkey layover is like death sentence.
You even got a nice meal, the one I got from naija to turkey was smelling, almost made me throw up.

For all students studying in Victoria State, as from today, you are no longer allowed to drive on your international licence beyond 6 months.

If you have lived in Victoria for up to 6 months, you are expected to convert your licence to a Victoria's State driver's licence. If you will continue to drive with your licence, when caught you will be treated as driving unlicensed.

Take note.

Saw the news earlier today, there starting to tighten things around here.

Is there such thing as people getting jobs in Australia through agents? A travel and tours company requested that my brother pay them 2m to help in get a job there. An initial deposit of 500k is to be made. The remaining balance to be paid when the Visa is out. Loosing 500k could mean a lot and I want to verify their claims before letting go of the sum. Please kindly confirm if there is any genuine thing of this nature.

Never pay anyone money to get you a job.... Common use your head... These are scammers. What kind of job do they want to get him? The Prime Minister of Australia position?

Please don't pay anyone money for a job.
