Responsibilities

- Provides support in the implementation, and then management of network security on a daily basis for the whole Commission to ensure safety of all staff data.
- Performs troubleshooting of faulty systems, data recovery and archiving, and periodic system backups.
- Installs all relevant and up-to-date software the Commission approves of to create user’s ease of use hereby increasing work output and efficiency
- Maintains the Commission’s IT assets.
- Co-ordinates with and assist other departments within the Commission in their various projects, seminars, workshops, meetings, and presentations.
- Effects as designed by the Manager IT, the development and maintenance of the Commission’s ICT infrastructure.
- Carries out all help desk support activities as and when required.

Required Knowledge and Skills

- Knowledge of common industry troubleshooting and support.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- High competencies in Network Administration, Management and delivery.
- Strong and demonstrated competencies in solution delivery.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to rely on instructions and per-established guidelines to perform.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
