Is there a live event for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3? Here’s everything you need to know, including the theme, rumors, as well as the start date and time.

With Chapter 5 Season 2 ultimately coming to an end on May 23, speculations have been rising about what Epic Games has in store for Fortnite’s next season.

Chapter 5 Season 1 concluded with its Titan Hand and Earthquake event that captivated players with its near-impossible to break Pandora’s Box. Epic has now launched a similar build-up event codenamed “SuperSport” onto the Battle Royale island to lead into Chapter 5 Season 3.

The Chapter 5 Season 3 build-up event started on May 13, 2024, at 11am ET / 8am PT / 4pm BST.

It is unknown exactly how long the event will last for, but it is expected to carry on till Chapter 5 Season 3 begins on May 23.

Chapter 5 Season 3’s in-game build-up event to Chapter 5 Season 3 is themed around the actions of the enormous statue on top of the mountain at the Mount Olympus POI.

It has been following the pattern of last season, in that as time goes on more gradual changes and actions have appeared on the map. Stage 1 saw the light rays above the monumental statue turn blue and storm clouds appear.

By Stage 3, the statue’s eyes have started to glow blue, the clouds have turned darker, and at every stage after, a series of lightning bolts have struck. However, on the final stage so far, Stage 5, the statue was hit with a lightning bolt, as its eyes glowed even more and the lightning surged around the sword.

Considering Mount Olympus is home to the Greek god NPC Zeus added in Season 2, it makes it a fitting stage for such an event.

Asked what the latest is on the casting process, the filmmaker promised that there "[will] be an announcement at some point," adding, "I’m thrilled that people are as passionate about these characters as I am. The fact that there is so much debate, I love it. I have been thinking about who should play these characters before I had the job to direct the movie, and I understand why everybody would be thinking in the same way."

"Chemistry is super important...It’s Marvel’s first family. I have to get it right. I have to get that chemistry right," he continued. "[The announcement is] not going to be immediately when the SAG strike has resolved, but we’ll be able to share some news at some point. And I hope people are as excited about this cast as I am."

Later revealing Fantastic Four was the only project he met with Marvel Studios to discuss after working on WandaVision, Shakman shared his thoughts on replacing Spider-Man: No Way Home helmer Jon Watts as the movie's director.

"I love that comic. I certainly let them know that I love that comic. I think Jon Watts was on it for a while, and he would have done a fantastic job, but he moved on, and I was thrilled that I was able to jump into the director’s chair on it and take his place."

"I mean, we’ve been on our process consistently. I’ve been on the project for a little over a year and working away hard at it the way we’d work on any film at Marvel...starting with, you know, what is the story we want to tell? What is the theme of the story? Why are we telling this story? And just developing then the best possible version of that story, and how do we want to bring these characters to life?"

Understandably refusing to reveal whether he's turned to any specific comic books for inspiration, Shakman confirmed he's worked with both Avatar: The Way of Water co-writer Josh Friedman and WandaVision's Cam Squires on a draft of Fantastic Four's screenplay.

This is the first time the latter's name has been tied to the reboot and we'd guess work has continued in earnest with the WGA strike now over.

Adam Driver, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Matt Smith are rumoured to be in the running to play Reed Richards, while Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn are supposedly a lock for Sue Storm and Johnny Storm respectively. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, meanwhile, may be Ben Grimm. Nothing has been confirmed, though, so we'll keep you updated.

For months, rumours have swirled about the cast of Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four movie.

Name after name has been put forward for each member of Marvel's First Family, but we still don't know for sure who will suit up as Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing.

Matt Shakman remains in charge of the long-awaited reboot and recently shared an update with Collider about how work has been progressing.

"Absolutely having a great time," he says. "It's a dream of mine to be able to work on that. I've loved those characters since I was little. It's such an awesome world to be in. The script is awesome, the characters are brilliant. I'm super excited."

Confirming the current plan is for shooting to start next spring, Shakman added that Fantastic Four will be shot in London's Pinewood Studios.

Pre-production work has been taking place during the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes and he admitted the process is one which has presented its fair share of challenges.

"You know, how do you translate those skills into live-action in dynamic ways? Because some things that work beautifully in John Byrne and Jack Kirby are a little tougher when you're filming them," Shakman explains. "How do you make sure that things are exciting but also grounded in a scientific thing, which is also part of the Fantastic Four that I love? There's some stuff I'm super excited about."



As for that long-awaited cast reveal, it sounds like the foursome has been chosen and an announcement will be made once the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike ends.

"I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they get a great deal really soon and we can go back. Then, once that's resolved, there'll be a plan at that point, but I can't say too much. There will be an announcement at some point! I know that the internet is very excited to find out, and I'm excited to share it. I just can't do it yet."

Shakman concluded by saying Fantastic Four will be "doing things very differently from a story standpoint" and "[a] filmmaking standpoint that really fits the material." He'd go on to add, "I think it's going to be unlike anything you've seen before, and certainly unlike anything at Marvel that you've seen before."

The Ultimate Universe was introduced in the early 2000s and put a contemporary spin on characters like Spider-Man, the X-Men, and The Avengers (who were renamed The Ultimates). Much of what we saw in those comics inspired the MCU, but the line eventually fell apart.

Marvel Comics previously announced that a new Ultimate Universe will spin out of the pages of its Ultimate Invasion series, with Jonathan Hickman and artist Bryan Hitch's new universe se to "revolutionize the world outside your window."

After the Maker's desperate attempt to restore the Ultimate Universe unleashes massive, unintended consequences, a group of Marvel's heroes are caught in a war between timelines. As universes collide, the foundation of a new line of Ultimate Comics is built, something we saw in this week's epic finale (you can find out exactly what happened by clicking here).

The saga continues in November's Ultimate Universe #1 where Hickman will team up with Stefano Caselli to lay the groundwork for a new line of Ultimate Comics. The wait for Marvel Studio's Daredevil: Born Again will be exciting. Most of the previous actor's from the Netflix Daredevil TV series are set to reprise their role's in the rebooted series, and it will be Marvel Studio's longest first-season of a Disney+ TV series, set to be 18 episodes!

Diverting from the usual "world/multiversal-ending stakes" that most Marvel projects deal with contemporarily, Born Again, like its Netflix predecessor, will lessen those stakes, as we will follow Matt Murdock's pursuit at taking down the Kingpin from running/winning his mayoral campaign, and enacting his anti-vigilante decree in New York.

A new rumor has surfaced from a reliable source, claiming another infamous street-level vigilante that has been rumored to make an appearance in the series - TOm Holland's Spider-Man, will reportedly NOT show up at anytime throughout the season.

Many were of course excited to not only witness Spider-Man and Daredevil partner up in the series, but additonally to finally bring to life the classic Kingpin and Spider-Man rivalry from the comic books.

If the rumor is true, however, Kingpin might allude to Spider-Man being one of the vigilante's he plans on taking down in the wake of passing his anti-vigilante decree, much like how he plans on taking down Daredevil.

At the very least, Kingpin may have heard about Spider-Man, or has potentially even went toe-to-toe with the webhead at some point off-screen.

Daredevil: Born Again currently has no official release date, but is scheduled to release on Disney+ sometime in Spring of 2024.

Daredevil: Born Again is an upcoming American television series created by Matt Corman and Chris Ord for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character Daredevil. It is intended to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and will be the second series centered on the character following Daredevil (2015–2018) by Marvel Television. Corman and Ord serve as head writers of the series with Michael Cuesta as one of its directors. The series is also produced by 20th Television.

Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock / Daredevil from Marvel's Netflix television series and prior Marvel Studios productions, with Vincent D'Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, and Sandrine Holt also starring.

Believe it or not, it's now been four years since we last sat down to watch an Avengers movie in theaters.

Unfortunately, it's going to be a while before we see Earth's Mightiest Heroes assemble on screen again because Avengers: The Kang Dynasty was recently pushed back to May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars set to follow on May 7, 2027. The delays are a result of the ongoing WGA strike but we know Marvel Studios is also looking to take its time with upcoming projects, a stark contrast from Phase 4.

It's previously been reported that both movies will serve as our final farewell to the original six Avengers, with one scooper going so far as to claim Secret Wars will "very likely [set] up a soft-reboot," serving as a "send-off for not only the entirety of the Fox-Verse, but the MCU that we’ve all grown to love."

With that, we'll be left with an "All-New, All-Different MCU" (presumably thanks to a new Sacred Timeline). Of course, this isn't the only big rumour we've heard recently as both Jeff Loveness (Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania) and Michael Waldron (WandaVision) have supposedly been fired from their respective Avengers movies!

It's an interesting development if true, though Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton remains attached to helm The Kang Dynasty. As for Secret Wars, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness director Sam Raimi is said to be on Kevin Feige's radar.

Now, though, another contender may have entered the race.

According to Daniel Richtman, Children of Men and Roma director Alfonso Cuarón is near the top of Marvel Studios' list for who should direct what will perhaps be the MCU's biggest movie to date.

While an unexpected choice, the filmmaker is no stranger to commercial fare after directing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for Warner Bros. Known for lengthy and groundbreaking tracking shots, it's easy to imagine Cuarón delivering a very special movie if he has a vision for Secret Wars.

As always, we'd recommend taking this news with a pinch of salt until we hear from the trades. With the Fantastic Four rumour mill slowing down (we're hearing the Jake Gyllenhaal claims are correct, but those you might have seen about Matt Shakman leaving the movie are not), "scoopers" seem to be shifting focus to The Avengers franchise.

Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5, currently stands as several gamer's and Spider-fan's, most highly-anticipated CBM gaming experience of the year, however, we should look far back to when the first teaser trailer was ever even released.

Nearly 2-years ago, was when Insomniac first dropped that brief Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5 teaser trailer, that instantly persuaded the gaming/Spider-Man community into absolutely obsessing over this game, as well as growing impatient every following day when no official release date would be confirmed.

Since then, 2-years later, we stand only just a little over a month's-duration away from loading up our PlayStation 5's, and immersing ourselves in the virtual world of New York City: defeating bad guys, saving pedestrian's, and of course, swinging through the colorful nighttime scene of New York City as Spider-Man.

From artwork, to character posters, to custom-made PlayStation 5 bundle-packs, this game's promotion has sold many Spider-fan's 10-times over into impatiently waiting to play this game, and now, the wait will be over soon.

As reported by Vortex and posted to Twitter by @HazzadorGamin, a floor of the developer’s office was damaged by a fire on Thursday. While no one was hurt, it’s been estimated that repairs could cost as much as $70,000.

According to the report, the fire took place near backup servers for the game, but it currently isn’t clear if any data was lost.


One developer wrote on Discord: “It is true. Fortunately, none of the employees or office staff were injured in the accident.”

They went on to say: “No anomaly, not even a ‘Burner’ will make us stop in our pursuit of our final goal. We’ve dealt with worse than that before. This is fine.”

It was recently confirmed that Stalker 2 will now launch in the first quarter of 2024.

The game’s release date has seemingly been up in the air since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last February. At the time, GSC Game World was based in Kiev, but it has since partially relocated to the Czech Republic.

Not all of its staff were able to leave Ukraine, however, with a number of developers continuing to work on the game from the war-torn country, where their lives had been turned upside down.

Other GSC Game World staff joined volunteering efforts in Ukraine or the country’s armed forces, including several employees featured in a development diary released last June, which showed how the war had impacted the team and its work.
