What are they afraid of

The power of darkness is the absence of light. Evil people! They love darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil.

Pls, where are Bantupage polls, ANAP foundation polls, Bloomberg, The Economist, The Nextier, Financial Times, NOI and many of them too numerous to mention?
They all tipped Obi to win the presidential election. We kept saying it before the election that online polls could not work in Nigeria because majority of voters are not online. Also, those who said they conducted a face-to-face poll did not cover the entire country in their survey. They didn't cover all demographics and their samples were not the true representation of the whole population. El-Rufai said this from his experience as a researcher and a statistician, but they didn't listen. They were overwhelmed by the euphoria of Obituary movement. I advise all these poll conductors to bury their heads in shame. Nigeria is one complex country where online polls hardly work, especially when all demographics are not considered.

They used scientific methods in their polls, but Nigeria defies science and logic. That's why Nigeria is jaga jaga.

AbdulMagaji:
Look at you

Those result sheets where supposed to be uploaded immediately and directly from the various poling units after counting.

Before the INEC chairman announces a result for each state, he is supposed to verify the figures uploaded with the manual submitted.

That's why over a 100 billion were allocated to him for the job.

His job is done once in 4 years!

If he wasn't fit to do the job, he should have opted out.

It's not by force to be INEC chairman.

Look at how our leaders are disgracing us both home and abroad. Nigerians are just watching helplessly.

Just Common counting of units and result tally, Nigeria couldn't get it right.

What task is there in adding up the results uploaded and verifying it with what each state chairman submitted?

There are Nigerian lecturers, professors who are far older than the INEC chairman in universities. This lecturers teaches, marks and grades over 1000 students on a particular course. They record this results and also upload them online while they are been paid peanuts.

Now tell me why INEC with all the hundreds of billions with the only task of a credible presidential election could not tally up the figures uploaded by each LGA in Nigeria.

Greatest yahoo yahoo of all time in Nigeria history

Don't mind them. Their nemesis awaits them.

When a man keeps asking a question that has been reasonably treated with many conventionally intelligent answers, it's folly to think one more conventional answer is what's needed to do the trick.

I decided to put the questioner in the shoes of the mind state of the intelligent people who wrote the constitution. Does it seem reasonable, fair and just to accord the FCT and its people special status by mandating candidates to earned 25% of the votes in an election before they can be elected president?

When intelligent people answer the above question, they immediately realize whether the chatter going round is even worth discussing or not. Unless of course, the obvious answer is not the outcome they wish.

Now you're talking, and I respect your sound reasoning. You even sound like a legal luminary.

Get 25% in 24 states in 36 states and FCT

The wording is confusing alot of you.

It's separated like since FCT is not a state.

If you feed the conditions into PROLOG (PROgramming LOGic), it will translate to:
25% in 2/3 of the States (=24), and
25% in FCT

They can amend the constitution to read 25% in 2/3 of the States (including the FCT), which would mean 2/3 of 37.
But when they say 25% in 2/3 of the States and the FCT, it means:
25% in 2/3 of the States (=24), and
25% in FCT

Usefulsense:
It beats my imagination on how majority of educated Nigerians failed to interprete the phrase
...25% of 2/3 of the states and Abuja..

Even a secondary school student who is good in English language will be able to interprete the meaning of this phrase.

In its simplest form, the phrase means 25% of 2/3 of 36 states plus 25% of Abuja.

While some lawyers have stated that section 299 of the 1999 constitution as amended made Abuja a state. This is fallacy.

Even if Abuja is made a state by section 299, the mere mention of FCT Abuja means that you must obtain 25% in the 'state' called Abuja.

APC should not rejoice yet as the third condition for being declared winner wad never met.

The conditions are:

A. You must have majority of the votes

B. You must have at least 25% in 2/3 of 36 States, and

C. You must obtain 25% of votes in the 'state' called FCT, Abuja.

You're intelligent and capable of critical thinking.
PROLOG (PROgramming LOGic) can easily analyse those conditions and arrive at a conclusion.
But I'm sorry to say that most Nigerians (including most of our lawyers and judges) ain't that intelligent.
