I just heard this thing about how difficult it is to be granted Australian Student visa with diploma earlier today.

Thanks for your feedback.

samlaura16:

From the research I made online on YouTube. The chance of getting visa grants for diplomas are slim to nonexistent currently. Most persons go for Masters or Bachelor degrees, get visa grants and then switch to diploma when they get there.

I personally think it has nothing to do with your application, maybe just take a closer look at your sop as well

Thanks a lot, I appreciate your kind words and feedback!

Chizzyvivian:
In addition to what have been said, I would suggest you get
1.Reference letter from your employer.
2.Study leave approval which will state your leave have been approved, with the start date and expected date you are to resume work. It should also state you would be paid a certain percentage of your salary every month for the duration of your study leave to support tuition expenses.
Also your proposed position and expected salary per annum after your studies in Australia.
I believe this can also prove more tie home.
Goodluck

Congratulations!

Please how much were you required to deposit as tuition before you were given COE? How much is the tuition?
Did you work with an agent to secure admission here?

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I really appreciate 🙏🏾

How do I prove more ties to Nigeria? I’m not married but I have 5siblings with both parents based here in Nigeria. I submitted my car documents as well.

Pappibearr:

Damn!, i dont think it’s about the documents you provided, I think it’s more about your GTE, like he mentioned, he wasn’t convinced you would earn a lot of money here in Nigeria with that course, and that might be enough reason for you not to comeback. I would suggest you should try to prove more ties to your home country in your next application. Im so sorry❤️

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I really appreciate 🙏🏾

I get your point. I just wonder why they still refused my friend who HND apply for the same Advanced diploma course as well.

bligs:

No one will grant you visa from Nigeria to school in AIBT, the school is on same par with our Technical School, NCE or at most OND.
With a degree and going for diploma, CO already knows your intention.
Incase you want to give it another trial, go for Msc in a tier one University and you can manoeuvre your way upon getting to the country.

Quite a number of people with similar scenario got their grants after second trial.

I really appreciate your feedback🙏🏾

1. I addressed this in my GTE where I talked about my work experience in both an engineering firm, and a telecom company influenced my decision to delve into the telecom industry. Being that I have a Bachelor’s degree in a different field (Electrical/Electronic engineering) so I decided to go for a diploma so I can acquire the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the highly competitive IT industry. It’s also interesting that my friend who has HND and OND but going for this same Advanced diploma course also got refused on this similar reason.

2. I think you made a very strong and valid point on this. I guess a reference letter or job offer might have made my case stronger.

In my friend’s case, he was told that the average network engineer earns less than his colleagues in Australia (citing figures she probably got from Google in her comparison) therefore she’s not satisfied that the financial incentives to return home outweigh the financial incentives to remain in Australia.

Softkey:
My take:
1. Going for a diploma when you already have a degree is a red signal. You really need to convince the CO beyond any reasonable doubt on that.
2. Intention alone won’t be enough in your case to convince the CO, what proof do you show to return back home career-wise, do you show you have a job in your new pathway to go back to?

To cut the story short, my guess is moving from degree to diploma threw you off. The CO just need a story to wrap up your denial.

Congratulations!
Please could you send me your GTE? My email is johnsonbobby828@gmail.com.

I had applied for a student visa but unfortunately, I was refused on the basis that my potential economic circumstances in Nigeria and the financial incentive that I stand to get in Australia after my study may make me not to return back to Nigeria. Even after I had established strong family ties (I declared that my siblings and parents are based in Nigeria), the VO felt the financial incentive in Australia outweigh these family ties when considering my intention to return home.

I would also appreciate any advice/opinions on how to address this reason above when I am reapplying

Thanks

I thank everyone who, out of their busy schedules, contributes to this platform. I come here every day for updates and have learned greatly. For me, the waiting period was very tense, but I am glad it came out successful.

If there is anyone currently in Bundoora or Melbourne, please hit me up for job opportunities/accommodation.

I return all the glory to God Almighty.

Huge Congratulations on your visa grant. Please could you share your GTE with me via email? All my documents are strong and good however, I was refused student visa on the ground that the financial incentives in Australia are more than what I would find in Nigeria upon graduation. My program is Advanced diploma of Information Technology (Telecommunications Network Engineering).

As I have waited forever for the update to come to galaxy A70 to no avail. I decided to take the law into my hands and downloaded the Ukraine version of android 10. I updated it using Odin. update went smoothly and didn't even wipe anything. All my apps and data were intact and phone is working perfectly.

What's your experience with the update so far?
Battery life/Charging speed compared to Android Pie
Performance compared to Android Pie
Any overheating issues
Connection (network reception, WiFi, bluetooth) problems?

A20 is a better option if you're on a budget. If not go for the A30 or better still the A50
Phones / Re: Which Of This Phone As Huge Market In Nigeria?? by JohnsonFK: 8:13am On Jan 04, 2020
I think Chinese phones are dominating now especially brands like Huawei, Xiaomi and Tecno. I can bet that there's a Chinese phone in 70 out of every 100 household in Nigeria. Samsung is also doing a smart move at getting a good market portion with their new midrange smartphones (Galaxy A-series). As for iPhones, I believe london used iPhones sell more than brand new iphones.

My thoughts...
