Lagos cannot be congested

It's where the money is... Just make money and make your village or township better by building something good in it.

Just like we are building in my village in Ifo

cheesy

Those Magi from the East have always used "No working port in the South and East" as an excuse to travel 20000 kilometers from East to Lagos to come reside in their large numbers

Now there is a functioning one in Delta, that state shares its boundary with Anambra and some of the locals even speak Igbo

Time travellers should show us pepper by mass relocating back to the East and ensure Lagos economy retrogresses by 50%(at least, that has being their claims before now)

Sports / Nigeria Spent #2.5billon For Olympics, And Still Disappointed As Usual by Jokerman(m): 7:40am On Aug 09
Like I stated earlier in another thread, Nigeria should be banned from Olympics, and let's channel the money, like we are doing from those in Fuel and electricity subsidies, into other ventures, like sharing bags of rice.

How can we budget 2.5Billion and still go and borrow bicycle ๐Ÿ˜‚, and still with 0 medals in the ongoing Olympics.

Botswana has won a gold medal in 200m race and their population is like Kogi state, compared to us with 200M people.

When we talk of profit making from our governing agencies, BATerias like Freestuffng, will tell you our population is mitigating our profits, so how come our population can't get us good athletes to compete on the World stage.

Our only hope for a medal is now Tobi Amusan , who doesn't even train in Nigeria ๐Ÿ˜น

It will never be well with Corruption.

It's not run by government. You can buy their shares, it's a listed company. It's equally ignorant to compare Saudi Arabia's oil production to that of Nigeria, they are among the top 3 highest crude oil producers in the world, far far much higher than Nigeria in terms of daily output of crude oil. Saudi Arabia produces all the crude oil we produce in one year in like 3 months!
And they don't have a population growing faster than their GDP.

So population determines profit?

Business / Saudi Arabiaโ€™s Aramco Reports Half-year Profit Of $56 Billion by Jokerman(m): 7:11am On Aug 09
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) โ€” Saudi oil giant Aramco reported half-year profits Tuesday of $56.3 billion, down from the year before due to weakening volumes sold amid worries about the global economy.

Aramco, formally known as the Saudi Arabian Oil Co. 2222 , said its overall revenue for the half-year was $220.7 billion, up from $218.6 billion the year before. Profits in 2023 were $61.9 billion, nearly $5 billion higher.

โ€œThe decrease was primarily a result of lower crude oil volumes sold, weakening refining margins and lower finance and other income,โ€ Aramco said in a filing on Riyadhโ€™s Tadawul stock exchange. โ€œThis was partially offset by higher crude oil prices and lower production royalties compared to the same period last year and lower income taxes and zakat,โ€ or Islamic charitable contributions.

Aramco will pay dividends of $20.3 billion for the second quarter and a performance-linked dividend of $10.8 billion, the company said. It hopes its overall dividend for the year will be over $124 billion.

While a sliver of Aramco trades on the Tadawul, the vast majority of the firm is held by Saudi Arabiaโ€™s government, fueling its expenditure and providing wealth to its Al Saud royal family.

Saudi Arabia, a leader in the OPEC cartel, has allied with Russia and others outside of the group to try to keep production down to boost global oil prices. Benchmark Brent crude BRN00 traded around $77 a barrel on Tuesday after Japanโ€™s Nikkei stock market plunged 12.4% Monday in its worst single-day decline since 1987.

British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr Richard Montgomery, has revealed that the United Kingdom government has so far given no fewer than 430,000 visas to Nigerians seeking to study and relocate to the European nation in 2024.

Montgomery disclosed this during a meeting with the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, in Abuja on Wednesday.

He also assured the Federal Government that there would be adequate security measures in place for Nigerians in the UK.

He noted that the UK remains a safe haven despite the ongoing unrest, highlighting the countryโ€™s diverse population.

He explained further that 60 special courts have been set up to โ€œtackle criminal activities related to the unrestโ€.

Also speaking on security, Montgomery stated that 400 people have been arrested in connection with the violence, with the government actively pursuing justice against those inciting unrest through hatred and disinformation online.

On her part, Dabiri-Erewa confirmed that no Nigerian casualties have been reported so far in the UK unrest.
