Bullet proof cars were bought by a Federal Government agency that has a mandate related to National security and that is an issue? Is it GEJ that is responsible for the insecurity in the north? The Nigerian soldiers that are killed daily by terrorists do not have a right to life like everyone else? They don't have families? The terrorists pursuing whatever selfish agenda for themseilves and their sponsors is GEJ's fault? And the Government buys bullet proof cars for protection of people who risk their lives in one way or another so you people can sleep safely at night and that is a big issue? Who has volunteered to put himself in harm's way in the north for the unity that blood has been shed for before they were born?

The deluge of insults to people in authority on nairaland is alarming. Mods should censor such comments.

Some people that cannot even tell their left from right just spew all types of distasteful comments about those in authority. This is totally unacceptable.

The mods should do something about it or the forum could be sanctioned in line with the topic.

It is important for people to be watchful and careful in any society they live in.

Of course her attackers' actions were v unacceptable, but considering that another woman was attacked in the same area 3 wks back...she should have taken steps to prevent the same happenin' to her.

In today's world...people should display wisdom in their actions else the repercussions could be v costly...

If ur story is true, then u r a decent guy. U still have a long way 2 where u should be but if u continue with this outlook 2 life...i pray u get to a good place in d end. Now, u need 2 discard most of the comments on this thread, they simply r of no value 2 u.

Let me explain what happened...but before i do that let me tell u this...pls forget about that girl, she would only cause u harm emotionally, financially, even ur dreams r @ risk here, this is not an advice, its a warning.

Now let me tell u what happened...its not difficult really...the whole drama is about....money, yes, money.

When u told her u would be visiting her state, she hatched a plan in her head 2 make some money from u. U see, if u're familiar with social networks, u will know that they r crawling with ladies who just want 2 meet guys, sleep with them 4 money, and continue d relationship with d guy as long as they can milk him, afterwards, they dump d guy. Such ladies have a number of guys @ any given time that they use as ATMs, they also have a number of guys on their radar.
U happened 2 b on her radar, but u thwarted her plan 2 begin d milking process by not sleeping with her that night. U see, she has no basis 2 begin to come up with sob stories or requests for money if u do not sleep with her. That's how such ladies see it ...so to her u r 'bad market' and just wasted her time. Time she might have spent milking or setting up some other guy for milking. Such ladies r emotionally cold and will drop u as soon as u dont fit into their plan because there r so many guys dat they have 2 work on @ any given time and so they feel u r a waste of time. Forget abt a serious relationship with her...she just wants 2 sleep with u for money.
If u doubt me...send her a text telling her that u want 2 send some money into her account so that she can travel to where u r and spend some time with u, and see how fast she will call u. However, when she calls dont send any money, just know what she's about.
If she calls and u fall for her stories...u r on d wrong road my freind. I hope i have helped u solve d mystery.

I blve after knowing this guy for so long and reading how u feel about him u should politely return his gifts, do not accept them. The only reason to accept them is if he has been so generous previously. If however this level of generousity started after he professed his intent 2 take the friendship a step further, do not accept them.

U have known him 4 a long time and if after so long and all the things u guys have done together as freinds u r not in the least attracted to him, then it is pointless marrying him.

He seems quite keen so be careful not to do anything to lead him on, just be courteous so that the freindship is not destroyed.

Here is ur answer...the woman in the car with him was not his wife but a stranger he probably picked along the was and was travelling with, so when he returned the woman (stranger) was still in the car as he left her.

The death of his wife was a separate incident that happened elsewhere and he was called and informed of...

the best thing to do now is forget about this girl completely and move on with ur life. Remove everythn that reminds u of her and delete her no., facebook contacts...everythn. Trust me...that girl will cause u nothin' but pain. So make up your mind, let her go and move on to better things in ur life. In time, u'll meet someone else.

Regarding ur birthday, do NOT call her, text her or pick the call if she calls u. The idea is to disconnect with her completely, u cannot be
'just freinds' with her (except mayb five years time when she's out of ur system). Remember, no communication whatsoever, shut her off completely...it may b difficult...but trust me, it's the only way...

I understand how u feel and moreso when i look @ the youths- so called leaders of 2moro- even the future does not look bright. A country where majority of the young men are into yahoo yahoo and always looking 4 illegal deals, they say u r not sharp if u try to do things properly and the young women would not hesitate 2 lie on her back 2 get quick money, phones, admission, pass exams and live big. Of course the older ones have nothing to teach the youth in terms of morals and integrity and the dignity of labour, as they all fall over themselves 2 greedily grab what they can by hook or crook, not caring who or what suffers by their actions.

I pray 4 a change though i cannot see how it will happen, but then with God nothing shall be impossible.

ok, man 2 man, let me tell u what to do 2 get her back,

SUCCEED, that's all, u have to put all ur heart and might in whatever ure doing and pray to God that ur efforts are crowned with resounding success.

That's all u need 2 do, dont bother 2 communicate with her for now, when d news of how well u r doing gets 2 her she'll come looking for u. This may take some time, about 2 years. She is still young n does not really know what she wants, yet.

So dont moon over her anymore, just get on with ur life and be d best u can be. I promise u that she'll come back to u. If u still want to marry her when she returns, just forgive her and forget the past and marry her.

Remember, just focus nyow on doing very well for urself, if u do this, someday later u'll remember this advice and thank me.
