I am much delighted having someone there, yea I intend go for spring 2018 'Cybersecurity graduate program'... Can u be of help by enlightening me on their requirements as per international students n besides i studied Business Administration. Thanks in anticipation
I applied for UG program so I don't really know much about their PG admissions but UVU has an open enrolment for undergraduate students I don't know if that extends to PG. The requirements for a PG program would be the same for all universities, GRE, SAT, TOEFL, statement of purpose, transcripts bank statements etc I sat for TOEFL but I didn't submit it. (The information is here but I can't find the post) Also I think you'll need to show that you've been into Info Tech before you can be admitted because that's not what you studied in UG. The application fee for grad students is $145 UG is $100. If I find the post I'll send it to you. The admission process is the same you just need to follow the same pattern as others.

so I cannot say but if you go for it , you have to go into it giving it your best and staying positive

This question depends soely on your determination and love for the the field (IT)

Cosade
If you're interested in working as an IT professional, you simply chose an area of interest (networking, database administration, hardware engineering, software development, ERP implementation, systems audit & contols, etc); and get certified in that area. In such cases you won't need to do too much mathematics.

I'm really grateful for your responses. I've just been worried/scared about studying marketing and after 4 years I'll start stressing myself before I get a job again. I'll work on everything you've said. Thank you!

things like cyber security will be tightly controlled except if you are working for yourself developing your own program or some private company so that in itself is limiting .... There might have a lot of cyber security jobs in government agencies but you trust that will only be allowed for US Citizens or permanent residency ..

Also with company science you are not as limited as focusing only on cyber security because Computer /IT is wide and can fit into many various roles , Implementation, support , development , maintance and then even cyber and many other roles ....... I am into IT implementation , don't ask me how I got there because I don't even know how I put my head there . But this role is a very good fit for someone with a computer background as system things will be so easy to pick up ...

as I no want to be hungry I am forced to pick up or learn IT quickly but not because it comes naturally but more of need to survive
.

Please I want to ask How easy is it for someone with zero knowledge of computer science to venture into the field in the US? Or for someone who has no love for mathematics to survive learning Comp Sci as a minor? For someone like me who will be majoring in business admin. does it make sense or is it possible?

My good people, I entered the US on 29th flew with Lufthansa airline from Abj to Frankfurt,
United airline from Frankfort to Chicago
United airline from Chicago to Salt Lake City

The Services wasn't below expectation, twas just like I was the Co-pilot with the Flight map feature, Food was nice.
CBP was also smooth..if you processed your admission yourself, you should have no fear,
I was asked
What's my purpose of coming?
What's my course of study?
Who is financing?
What's are the Food stuffs I have with me?

Boom!! Welcome to America...
I Claim my baggage and re-checked in for a transit to SLC,
It was a safe land at SLC airport, but so sadden my second Bag was mishandle(couldn't find it),I laid complains at the UA office, they said its was its at Chicago and they reassuringly told me it will be delivered to my address the next day..i checked the status online all I see is "we are still looking for your Bag".. I start to wonder if the bag has turn to a needle..

All the best to those awaiting admission decision, you couldn't get your Visa? use this time to cover all ground again next semester what is yours will come to you...

Pardon my Typo if any. wink

Welcome to the promise land bro. I hope you enjoy Utah!

7:30 batch Approved Today!
V.o good morning sir, how are you?
Me: oh I'm doing good(was surprised)
Vo: pass me your passport
Me: I did
Vo: why are you going to the US (was typing and also asked for my i20)
Me: I am going to the usa to pursue a bachelor's degree in marketing at Utah valley univ
Vo: why did you choose UVU
Me: I chose UVU because they offered me an opportunity to enrol in their honors program
Vo: oh so what is the honors program
Me: the honors program is a concentrated form of learning reserved for highly intellectual students.
(This doesn't make sense, I didn't plan for it at all, but he was nodding his head in affirmation)
Vo: did you write sat
Me: no I didn't, it wasn't required by my school but I wrote the TOEFL instead
Vo: how many schools did you applied to?
Me: I applied to three schools
Vo: can you name them?
Me: yes, Washington state uni, Wartburg college &Utah valley uni
Vo: ok I'll be approving your visa. pick your passport at xoxoxo
Me:I collected the paper and went out.

I am still surprised at the way it all went down. I never expected it to be this easy. No document was asked. I'm just grateful to God and to you guys. I hope I'll also be able to give back to the house soon. Thanks.
*a boy with a good sat score and scholarship was denied.
*alot of people were denied today guess that's why you aren't seeing much transcripts. Thanks all.

plea, someone should answer this question.. if the school I'm applying to says they don't need any kind of secondary school result evaluation or wes. can i just send my result(WAEC) like that?
Yes you can send them a scanned result ( some will ask you to send a scratch card pin/serial number and other infos for them to verify your result or better still send secondary school diploma they'll accept it. I did the same thing.

And it seems like this thread is only for masters and PhD.. undergraduates are not posting transcripts. Thanks

Why are you wasting money trying to use Eship global? You don't have a friend or family member your school can send your i20 to for free in the US? and he/she sends it to you in Nigeria at a cheaper cost
No I don't.. I've tried asking the school to send it directly to me but they said its not guaranteed and may take 4 to 6 weeks. but I can send it to someone in USA at a cheaper rate depending on the location and also have the person forward it to me.. that's my best option right now. thanks for your suggestion

They will send it for you free to a US address, but you would need to pay the US person to post it to Nigeria for you via USPS express. I can do that for you cos I need some naira. It should not cost more than $45 to mail you the document to Nigeria.

I also need someone to help me pay for the eship global service.. kindly reply me please its urgent! thanks
